First game of the 1959 football season - Georgia beat Alabama 17 - 3. I remember before the game walking down the hill next to Memorial Hall towards Sanford Stadium - a grown man was down on all 4's under a bush barking like a dog.

2004 against the nerds. I was in 7th grade and it was rainy and cold the entire game, i remember alot of people booing Shockley but i don't remember why.

my favorite game was 2006 against the nerds, when Stafford threw to MoMass in the final minutes to win the game 15-12. We got onfield tickets and I was on the field when they were warming up. Knowshon was standing a few feet from me(it was his redshirt season), i didnt know who he was at the time though haha

and the blackout game against Alabama....nuff said. But it was awesome when Miller ran the punt back for the TD. best part of the night

Went to see Hershel to two games during the 81 season with my brother who had tix, both wins of course. Went with a friend in 82 with no tix at all, his cousin worked a gate, we acted like we gave him tix, he acted like he tore the stub off and gave them back. we had no seats and stood on the steep hill by the bridge. I think it was a monday night and we beat the defending NC Clemson Tigers with a blocked punt that a lineman caught and fell into the end zone for a TD. Hershel had a broken thumb I think.

First game against Richmond back in 1973 (I think). Worst game at Sanford (tie) vs. Kentucky in 1977 and the Florida game in the mid '90's. Best game 1976 Ga.Tech game (13-10).

1989 against Ole Miss. Tim Worley ran back the kickoff behind the picket fence formation. Rodney Hampton and Lars Tate also had big games. Pep rally was at the baseball field when it still had one set of green bleachers behind home plate. I was hooked from that day forward. Of course, having Herschel Walker from my hometown wasn't bad either.
