Georgia’s defense has given up 7 points total in the past two meetings vs. Auburn. Great defense. Also in the past 3 games they’ve only surrendered 19 points as a defense. Outstanding.

I am a lifelong AU fan who lives in Marietta, GA. When we won the SEC Championship and National Championship a fews year back I never spoke to my UGA friends like the posts I am seeing on this site. BTW Schultz, your picture looks like you are old enough to remember when we hired Vince Dooley so I can’t believe you don’t remember when Kevin Ramsey was fired at halftime of the UGA-Auburn game in Athens 1999. There was a MASS EXODUS from Sanford at half. Or Bama putting 35 on us by half a few years back.

I can assure you the lose that Georgia had in 2010 from Auburn has absolutely nothing to do with the extreme contempt that most Georgia fans have against Auburn. For me it started back when Shug Jordan was teaching his players to take as many Georgia players out of a game anyway possible. UGA is peaking, Bama is struggling.

UGA will be favored over Bama, and when UGA gets up 20-0 like Texas A & M did, look for the rout to be on.

If Texas A & M went up 20-0 on Bama, imagine what UGA will do to Alabama with:
1) mobile QB who is also 3rd in nation in pass effic
2) 3 premiere running backs averaging over 5.5 yards per carry
3) best 2nd half and 4th quarter defense in the nation

UGA shocks BAMA with a 27+ point win, locking up a position in the BCS Championship.

The way I feel about Auburn has nothing to do with winning and losing. How many times did Georgia lose to Florida in the last 20 years. I never blamed Florida and some of my best friends are Florida fans. For them I always blamed Georgia’s coaching staff for not having our kids in the right physical or mental state in order to compete.
For Auburn it’s your attitude of winning at any cost. Just like Cam Newton, Florida knew what they had but their coach didn’t want to keep a theft on the team. Cam Newton knew exactly what his father was doing but with no proof the NCAA’s hands were tied. It’s all has to do with the lack of VALUES at Auburn from the money boosters to Pat Dye and trying to get an edge AT ALL COST and not letting the kids settle it on the field.

Despite that though, you had to respect the program they put together. You can’t respect the way Auburn conducts their business.

Congratulations to the Dawgs on their SEC East title. You guys earned it. Represent us well in the SEC Championship and maybe a second loss can be hung on the Tide.

It’s been pretty quiet over here in East Alabama today. Alabama losing last night, I haven’t seen many Tide fans out today.

As far as for my Gators, I’m still trying to figure out how we only have one loss. There was no business they should have won yesterday the way they played.

I think the point of some of these anti_AU entries is to point out that there IS a character problem in them Plains. You don’t go from 13-0 to 2-8 in less than two years and expect no one to question the character of a team.
Also I’m not going to call AJ Green and Justin Houston the world’s most perfect people. But none of them has done anything stupid since they’ve been employed by the NFL (Fairley can’t say that!) None of the has had a whole fan base question whether they’re a team player or not (Newton can’t say that!). And AJ has achieved greater sucess than Newton in the NFL (guess who was drafted higher?). And Houston has achieved way more than Fairley (guess who was drafted WAY higher?). As I’ve mentioned in an earlier blog, I don’t want ANY great SEC player to flop in the NFL. But the sad truth is that two of the above mentioned players did NOT get good character and humility lessons from their coaches in college and it is sure enough showing in the NFL!

Grantham made a choke sign against a Florida kicker who was about to attempt a game winner. Not his best moment but he was disciplined for it, apologized, and moved on. With Franklin, he was defending his players against a loud mouth who’s since gone on to prove he’s a d-bag with just about every team they play. He’s also not the head of the team so it’s not an equal comparison. Why don’t you bring up a team trainer that posted insulting comments on Facebook as well?

Also, your assertion that somehow Chizik was confused and wasn’t following the game as just the right moment to miss all of Fairley’s thuggery is laughable. If he’s that oblivious during a game, he should be fired for that alone. It’s also worth noting that he never made any attempts to discipline him or apologize for the incident.

It takes little intellect and lack of a good argument to insult someone instead of just stating your own case. You’ve met both criteria quite nicely.

Funny how meaningless all that becomes when factors that aren’t favorable to the Tide are applied. It’ll become even more meaningless when/if UGA and Bama meet in the SECCG. Then we’ll all know for sure who the SEC Champion is. That’s why they play the games.

Well, it’s good to see that the south’s oldest rivalry is still as heated as ever. Auburn is having a terrible season, so I would have been totally shocked if UGA didn’t beat them. It will be interesting to see how you do in the SEC Championship game against Alabama. I hope you will win that game, and enjoy the BCS Bowl bid that it brings.

Note to AJ (or should I say Thomas Brown), however: being a one-loss SEC champion does not automatically punch your ticket to the BCS Championship game. I know that recent history suggests that, but it simply isn’t true if there are three undefeated schools ahead of you who are automatic BCS qualifiers. Sorry to burst your bubble. The best argument UGA would have had for that would have been that they knocked off Florida when they were number 2 and Alabama in the SEC Championship game when they were number 1. Unfortunately, that won’t happen now, as Alabama will fall in the BCS standings, and the bounce from beating number 1 the last week of the season simply won’t happen. And your comment that UGA will beat Alabama even more easily that Texas A&M did because you have a mobile quarterback in Aaron Murray tells me that you are either blind or ignorant. “Johnny Football” is a very gifted athlete, and he showed that against Alabama yesterday. He has, potentially, three years after this year to play. If he continues to develop, he will be a much better quarterback than Murray by the time he’s a senior.

Kingdaddy. I’m an auburn fan idiot so it pains me to say it. I also know my football though. Bama was not exposed last two games. Everyone knows sabans weakness is mobile qbs and that’s because his teams are coached well with a nose for the football. When he plays a mobile qb or misdirection offenses that’s how you beat them. I can assure you richt will be watching the texas am film over lsu film. In case you forgot, lsu beat texas am and florida. Bama faced two good teams last two weeks and finally paid for it. But make no mistake, alabama will have no problem with uga offense. You have nothing he doesn’t know how to stop. Bama by 20 all day. They will get to murray and run it down your throats. Watch.

Bama got beat by a team they were supposed to handle. At home. No amount of spin removes that fact. They are now ranked behind UGA by the coaches. Ha ha ha…ok tom, since your deductive reasoning skills are apparently in a stage of arrested development, I’ll explain it to you as if you were a small, slow child.

That’s the whole point of the video. The dirty play by Auburn that was celebrated by the coaching staff including Chizik was by and large ignored by the refs. That was the point that Richt made to the officials at the end of the game. When the refs don’t make an effort to control the game by calling those fouls, the players get frustrated and things can go downhill quickly.

I would’ve thought that that was an obvious takeaway but I suppose I gave you too much credit. As hard as that may be to believe.

Murray has not seen but one really decent defense (UF) and he struggled.
The Defense is good but get gashed a lot.

Johnny football Manziel is already the best quarterback in the league. Better than them all, as a college quarterback, not NFL caliber but he is much better than Murray, McCarron, Mett, for what he can do to an opposing teams defense. Yes that qualifies as a trap but so does mine. A trap game is any time you get a team at a crucial time in the schedule. It doesn’t matter how that team is doing. For example you guys keep saying this texas am team couldn’t beat florida. If they played next week you honestly think florida would win? They lost in week 2 I believe. They are better now and florida looks to be struggling some. It was a dangerous game for bama after lsu. You’re crazy if you think otherwise.

I read on another article that Florida only beat A&M because they played them earlier in the year……and Bama lost to A&M because they are a lot better now. RESPONSE:

1. Florida was no more experienced than A&M in game #2 either.
2. A&M did to Florida what they did to Bama in the first half….with the difference being that A&M could not continue doing to Florida in the second half that they did to Bama in the second half.
3. Florida played A&M in front of the 12th MAN…..and won. Bama played A&M in their house…..and lost.

I am not sure what Georgia would do vs. A&M…..they did not play them. But I know what Bama did vs. A&M….and what Florida did vs. A&M…….and I know that Bama struggled more vs. LSU than Florida did.

So……I have come to the conclusion……that Georgia has a better team than Bama and should be ranked higher than Bama. I also think Florida should be ranked higher than Bama as well. Tell me why they should not be ranked higher…..based on production this year. If Florida beats FSU….then Florida and Georgia both should jump Bama in the BCS poll……before the SEC title game. But we all know that will never happen.

David Poll-Dawg on ESPN’s BCS Countdown show said # 4 (Bama), #5 (Georgia), and #7 (LSU)….could all beat Notre Dame……conveniently leaving out #6 (Florida) from his list……even though the #6 team beat that #7 team and beat the #9 team (Texas A&M) that just beat the #4 team (Bama). How funny…..unbiased…..ESPN talking head….Mr. David Poll-Dawg.

You must not have seen my battles with Thomas Brown. I’ve defended your bunch more than a few times since early in the season because he was repeatedly predicting “four or five losses in 2012″ for y’all–and belittling your team as a UGA opponent. Once we won the game, of course, he couldn’t say enough about you. He’s no more than a two-faced slimeball who enjoys bullying and insulting others on the blog with lies and fabrications.

I have tickets to the game at Doak, but I had foot surgery last month and am still on crutches–so not sure if I’ll be walking by then. Sure hoping not to miss it, though, since it looks like we’ll each come in with only one loss. Been a while since that happened.

I see that tom, an Auburn fan, is still carrying the water for Alabama. As a UGA alumnus, I have no such allegiance for our in-state rival, Ga Tech. But since tom wants to hypothesize about what Alabama will do to the Dawgs, I’ll play along with the game, too. Here goes: the multiple – named Ga Tech Yellow Jackets/Ramblin’ Wreck/Engineers would have their way this year with the similarly nickname-confused Auburn Tigers/War Eagles/Plainsmen. Despite playing in the mediocre ACC, GT has done more than beat two teams from non-BCS conferences, one of which (New Mexico State) sports a 1-9 record and the other (La Tech) has a 6-4 record that counts the OT loss to Auburn as their closest defeat of the season. I’d say that maybe Ga Tech and Auburn could settle this in a bowl game, but the Tigers aren’t going to the postseason, are they? I guess that freed tom up enough to find his new favorite team. Personally, I’d wait until after Auburn had completed their season before turning my back on them, but maybe this is how Auburn fans roll.

You have not been right all year, your oversized UF Gator ego has been deflated and defunked all year after your post have proven to be overstatements. UF is a very very very weak offensive team that UGA struggled with because of the defense that UF played against them. Even Kevin Sumlin has stated that during the last 4 week that they were able to add about 30 more plays to their game plan since the LSU game. I know you want to figure out how to make your UF Gators look more attractive but it is not happening, After getting spanked for 59:50 seconds last saturday against a very very poor LLa team and with FSU waiting to embarrass UF and the SEC in two weeks we will all have to wait till signing day to listen to your over the top post about your Gators.

Kingdaddy puppy lover, I guess you fall into the same category as Tampa Gator except for the UGA puppy side of the aisle. The way you brag and speak anyone without knowledge would think that UGA had been a national contender for 10 plus year and won multiple BCS titles. 1980 is all you need to post. Try as you might and spin it, but without an overranked UF which is going to fall, a USC team without Lattimore will have to fight very hard to beat Clemson, what teams has UGA actually beat that would be considered a Big Boy 2012 program? That is right. The SEC is strong with UGA and without UGA, teams like LSU, Alabama, Florida during Urban and Spurrier, Tennessee under Fulmer, Auburn on the Blip Cam Newton run, have carried this conference and you do not have a (excuse the pun) a dog in the hunt. UGA has been on the outside looking in as EVERYONE listed above carried the banner to prop up the UGA name and program due to association in the Conference. The facts are UGA has NOT carried it’s weight and has been a tag-a long program and have underachieved like no other program in the country laiden with enough talent during that time to field a complete NFL team.

The truth hurts and the pain will grow even larger once the loss in the SECCG hits UGA fans right across the snout and you and many of your over the top dog fans who do not know how to say thank you to your SEC brothers will have to go wimpering off to the dog house to lick your wounds and make more excuses while speaking how really good your dogs were!

tom, I may have read your comment wrongly, but it makes you no less delusional. We’ve played and beaten a team that actually beat A&M, something that Alabama, I will repeat, failed to do. We’ll find out who is better, UGA or Alabama, IF the Tide gets past Auburn. But your assertion that A&M is a better opponent than anyone the Dawgs have faced in the last 3 years completely lacks objectivity, and is based only on the fact that Bama got beat by them. Like I said, you just keep on thinking that, though. The world needs people to laugh at.

Comparing the Dog team that beat A&M in 2009 is so laughable. Did not that entire coaching staff get fired after last season. Please name a team outside of UF that UGA has beaten in the last 3 years that meant something as in a top 15 team? Four Year? Five Years?

Enjoy this overstated 1 loss season because whether you like it or not, avoiding the other big boys around the league ends in 2013 and the multiple loss seasons will continue.

Please get more material, digging up to 2009 makes you look even more foolish.

I was there in 2010. Remember the auburn fans booing our players after an injury for “slowing down” their offense? Remember the VERY dirty play by Fairly? Remember the way they gloated like a bunch of 5th graders? Remember how Trooper Taylor jumped around like some punk gang banger after killing the drug competition in the neighborhood? I do….I remember all the above, hence my extreme satisfaction the past 2 years.

Beast from the East, UF turned the ball over 6 times against an average UGA team. You almost lost to Louisiana Lafayette, Bowling Green, and Missouri. Sorry, but as someone from the outside, Florida really looks like a paper tiger at this point. They have had a good run this year but they could lose to almost anyone in the country at any time.

I have not liked one thing about the turkey buzzards since I was a UGA freshman in 1957. All you ever heard was that AU spirit and how they cheered win or lose. Gag. Chizik’s behavior in 2010 left a bad taste in UGA fans mouth. I am here to tell you that taste has been around for as long as this series has been going on. The best coach to ever come out of AU was Erk who ended up getting the shaft.

I’m not a fan of either GA or Auburn, but what exactly are the Georgia fans complaints about AU winning the national title in 2010? I seem to remember they won it on the field…don’t remember any controversy. My recollection is they were the best team in the country. So what does that have to do with the fact they are having a terrible year this year? I don’t remember the last time GA won a national title…did they ever? Considering that their schedule has worked out to be one of the weakest in the country if they don’t win one this year, when will they ever?

Auburn deserves ZERO sympathy. Everything about their football program is done in secrecy managed by a member of their board of regents. It’s pathetic. I was a fan of Tommy Tubberville (up until he slapped a student assistant coach this past weeked) because he brought some decency to the program. It’s all gone now. AU is PU : )

I almost had a tinge of sympathy for Auburn but then thought better of it. Down years are tough but it couldn’t be happening to a more deserving bunch than that crowd of all or nothing over on the plains. As a Dawg fan and Georgia Southern alumni I especially have no sympathy for Brian “van stays packed to move” Gorder. When they clean house you will get to move again.

The University of Georgia is a much larger university than Virginia Tech, and yes we’re a Top 10 All-Time Football Program in Wins. And, yes we have a Winning Record against Virginia Tech in football. Virginia Tech is # 23 in attendance and UGA is # 8 in the nation in attendance to our football games. Our Mascot is UGA, the most beloved and well-recognized in the nation. What is your mascot ? We’re # 6 in the nation in Football, as we speak. What is Virginia Tech ranked ? Oh, you’re not ranked. Only way to silence the Richt critics is to win the SEC

If we win the SEC and get left out of the BCS, it will be a travesty of justice. Last 6 BCS champions come from the SEC. Until the playoff system comes in, UGA can only control the games it plays in. If we beat Bama and Florida in the same year, it will be two great wins and we will be SEC Champs.

You can laugh all you want bud. We will still be champions

Not if there are 3 undefeated teams in front of UGA. This isn’t like last year where Bama and LSU were clear leaders.

Absolutely but UGA hasn’t beaten Bama yet. Until that happens, it’s wishful thinking.

UGA fans can’t handle it when their teams lose. At least Auburn fans/grads have a crystal trophy to show for a 14-0 season. All UGA fans have is a VHS tape of the 1980 championship.

Auburn fans have every reason to be mad. There is no excuse for Auburn having lost to every SEC team.

I thought Georgia fans were above bammer fans, but some of these hateful ridiculous posts are changing my mind. Georgia won and Georgia has a good shot at beating bammer in Atlanta. But the hate at the one school that shows UGA some respect is lame.

Your concept is that in your feeble bigoted mind, UGA has NEVER been anywhere close to Virginia Tech academically. More lies. As I’ve already pointed out to you, lamebrain, my post questioning the gators was made in early Sept–after they struggled against Bowling Green. And as you very well know, I did not use Mizzou’s team as a “measure for UGA 2012.” I said the environment up there for their first SEC game (vs UGA) would be hostile–and indeed it was.

You still predicting “four or five losses in 2012″ for the gators? When are you going to own up to that one, weasel? “Street cred” my azz. You’re an absolute disgrace to all decent UGA fans.

The University of Georgia is a much larger university than Virginia Tech, and yes we’re a Top 10 All-Time Football Program in Wins . . . We have 6 national championships in football.

Since I vowed several months ago to NEVER AGAIN respond to T Brown and his ilk(a couple of other Single Digit IQ characters) please ask him/her/it what difference does UGA being a much larger school have to do with what kind of Sports programs the school produces. VT has a great coach and he is limited to the same number of players UGA is limited to!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
