Ryan’s eight touchdowns are tied for the league lead with Roethlisberger and Buffalo’s Ryan Fitzpatrick.
His QB rating of 114 is also tops in the league. Ryan leads an offense that is scoring 31.3 points per game, tied for third in the NFL.

Is this a blog or is it JSS vs. the world?
I don’t know which is more pathetic, the fact that these blogs are dominated by guys who are sick of one particular blogger who is clearly not a Falcons fan and his inane responses to them (which I find puzzling…why lower yourself….unless of course you ARE that low to begin with and can’t rise above it).
Meanwhile, addressing the actual post, the answer is no. The Falcons are not the best team in the NFL. But they are much better already than they were.

What I do find amusing is this:
1) A couple of weeks ago, certain folks were saying so much about Peyton Manning and the Broncos, and Phillip Rivers and the Chargers….and how those were “real, big time QBs..not like Matt Cassel.”
Oh, it was all true. But remember how those two games were going to be such challenges and how the Falcons were going to fail?
2) Now, after having confused Manning and totally shut down the Chargers…..the excuses and caveats come ROLLING RIGHT ON IN….
Oh, the AFC East is weak, ohhh Peyton just isn’t himself, ohhh this, ohh that….
Look folks, you can’t have it both ways. The wins are very much legit. Yeah, save your angst and asinine comments for a rainy day. The Falcons aren’t going to have a perfect season, so wait for them to lose and then you can come in with your loser mentality and what not.
Until then, eat crow. You thought…no, you just knew the Falcons wouldn’t be good enough to beat the Broncos or the Chargers. You just had it pegged…and you were wrong. So sulk and sling insults all you want to make yourselves feel better, if that works (doubtful, but a man in hell will ask for a droplet of water anyway, won’t he?).
And talk about how it’s a long season and we have a long ways to go (true). But in the meantime, crunch them black feathers and like it.
Your credibility is shot.

As for Saints fans….the answer is “yes”…it IS time to panic.
FEMA built you a dome, but can’t rebuild your team. And looks to me like signing Falcons leavings ain’t working either. It’s clear the mighty Lofton ain’t needed here and ain’t helping so much there .

Matt “Choke” Ryan, some of that has to do with a short field. When you get as many turnovers as the Falcons do, the field is often short and it doesn’t require as many yards to get a touchdown. That has had an effect on his passing yardage.

Atlanta Falcons, like Georgia, have horrible records in the big games.
I like Mike Smith.
I like Mark Richt.
It is much more likely that Mike Smith, than Mark Richt beats the top teams in their best years. Mike Smith is a smart coach, and has it going on. Although both have off-field woes 2012, Mark Richt is not the sharpest knife in the drawer, does not know how to X and O, and has no discipline causing him to have great punishments.
Let’s see Georgia beat a team 2012 who makes the top 10 while Florida will end up not ranked, South Carolina will be about # 20, and Alabama will clean Mark Richt’s clock.
Let’s see Mike Smith win a play-off game, even. This is far more likely than Mark Richt beating a team who makes the top 10. South Carolina’s schedule is a LOT harder than Mark Richt’s; and, anyone who tries to tell you otherwise, is just plain off-his-rocker preferring to hear only how great, either is yet.

Falcons beat 3 AFC West teams, and you goofs are already planning the parade?
Facts:
-Kansas City has been a cellar dweller for a long, long time.
-Denver Broncos won’t make the playoffs with a washed up, rusty Manning at the helm.
-San Diego should never be allowed on national TV again, they are the Falcons of the West Coast.
Now, I have no doubt that the Falcons may start 5-0, but I would hold off on filling out the permits for closing down Peachtree until they can win a playoff game.
