That's going to leave a mark. But how about a game, MV?
Let me preface this by declaring that I am NOT pulling against Michael Vick during his post-prison career, which has the potential to be one of the greatest comeback stories in professional sports history (although not at this rate).
OK, that disclaimer out of the way, this is kind of funny.
Vick’s tendency to take so many hits and keep getting injured, particularly in this NFL exhibition season, has reached mocking level. He hurt the thumb on his throwing hand in Philadelphia’s first preseason game. He had ribs crushed Monday against New England. All X-rays, MRIs and CT scans have been negative, but the guy has spent more time in examination rooms than taking snaps in games. (Two-game stats: 4 for 7, 11 yards, 0 touchdowns, 1 sack, 2 injuries.)
So that prompted Robert Littal from the website, BlackSportsOnline, to post a game: “Mike Vick Injury Bingo.” The game’s winning squares include generic injuries like, “Concussion” and “Rib injury,” but it adds others like, “Eagle Fan Hits Him With Battery,” and, of course, “Dog Bite.”
Take a look.
(The judges probably will let you get away with “Broken Finger” for the sprained thumb, so we’re off to a good start on this bingo card.)

Michael Vick is a loser, who abused and killed dogs mercilessly, and a couple of broken ribs won’t squeeze one ounce of sympathy out of me. I hope this guy and the Eagles have a terrible season and that Vick is proven the poseur he is. Even in the heydays of the Eagles half a dozen years ago, the true heart and the soul of the team was Jimmy Johnson, and when he died the downhill roll was long and steep. This is an ugly team, with incompetent coaching and poor management and ownership. And they really scraped the bottom of the pond when they signed Michael Vick.

Matt “Choke” Ryan — I knew it wouldn’t take long for some brain-dead loser to play the race card. So typical in Atlanta. Just a thought “Choke”, perhaps folks like Jeff (and every other rational person in Georgia) were wanting Vick gone regardless of performance (or lack thereof in Vicks case). Some things are way more important than winning some silly game being played by man-children with a deformed ball. Vick is the lowest of the low and absolutely no hideous fate could befall him that would be adequate compensation for what he has done. The Falcons did exactly what they should have done when they got rid him. It was time to take out the trash, plain and simple, and the Falcons will be a better organization in the long run for doing it!

Vick would have been awesome for the Falcons and Atlanta if:
1) He didn’t murder dogs in cold blood
2) He took his job as an NFL QB as seriously as he does right now.

I in no way defend what Vick did with dogs. It is deplorable and inhumane.
However, the vitriol that is directed to a young man that made a mistake is insane. He is a killer of animals, for sport. Illegal Hunting vs. legal hunting can be classified the same way in some cases.
I wish when guys in the NFL are selling dope & doing drugs that you would take the same approach to them after all that kills more HUMANS. When NFL players are shooting themselves in nightclubs & getting arrested for DUI’s they become more of a concern to me because they are putting HUMANS in harms way.
Vick is trying to recover from a huge mistake but some of you “perfect” people relegate him to being the lowest form of human ever…….it’s just not right.

Now he wants to get a dog for what he has no emotional bond with these animals and asked what he would change in his past he said nothing except maybe a shorter prison sentence for what he did! Shame on the the NFL for taking this true pos worthless garbage back.This is not Plexico shooting himself in the foot this is a true monster that deserves nothing but the harshest judgment and certainly no praise at all!!!

It already is one of the greatest comeback stories ever.
I don’t think he can help the injuries honestly. He’s just not a very big guy and he’s really fast, he runs forward like an athlete, for him to slide he’s got to go slower and get more upright.
He’s the greatest athlete ever to play QB, but he’s slight of build and he’s just not going to be durable enough to last in the NFL. He is what he is at this point, he and Ben Rothlisburger play the same way and Ben is a lot bigger. It’s just not conducive to playing every game. If you start Vick, you have to have a backup ready that you can win 3 or 4 games with. He’s not a 16 game type of player.

Matt Ryan lovers are only hating right now because an injury to Vick gets more press than anything Matt Ryan has done…you guys still don’t get it….let me just break it down to football…the game of football is won at the line of scrimmage…Vick nor Matt Ryan has had an O-line worth talking about..Especially when it comes to pass protection..With that being said…I would still take Vick over Matt Ryan any day of the week because at least with Vick you know he can make something out of nothing and he can hum that pigskin 60+ yds accurately. Matt “noodle arm” Ryan who can’t throw it deep accurately won’t be able to do diddly squat but either get sacked or be prototypical and throw it away….as Falcons fans know…that doesn’t get you playoff wins…that gets you 1st round playoff exits….the last time Falcons won a playoff game Vick was the QB…not Ryan…the proof is in the pudding…don’t expect it to happen this year either…the Falcons didn’t change their personnel on the field…if they can’t block under the old coaching regime…what makes you think they’ll be able to under a new one….either they can pass block or they can’t…and the Falcons O-line has proven time and time again that when they see an opposing D-line like the Eagles or the Giants…they get tossed around like rag dolls….so….you guys can play all the injury games with Vick all you want…but I honestly believe that Vick will win a Super Bowl before Ryan will….
