Over/unders: Dogs 9.5 wins, Jackets 8 (agree or disagree?)

The guys who set odds see Alabama winning 10 to 11 games, most among SEC schools.

Alabama (10.5), FSU (10) project to win most games in SEC, ACC

FLOWERY BRANCH — I’m out at Falcons’ camp today for a column I’ll be posting later. But until then, I just received these college football over/unders from the online sportsbook Bovada, which must have me on their email list because they think I’m a degenerate gambler (and I have NO idea how they came to that conclusion).

So I thought, well, here’s a good conversation starter. Below are all of the odds from Bovada. But

Which way would you go on Dogs? More or less than 9.5?

here are the ones that you’re probably most interested in. The over/under on Georgia’s win total is 9½. The over/under for Georgia Tech is 8.

For what it’s worth, I would go over on both.

The SEC schools listed: Alabama 10½, LSU 10, Georgia 9½, Arkansas 8½, South Carolina 8½, Florida 8, Auburn 7½, Tennessee 7½, Missouri 7, Texas A&M 7, Mississippi State 7½, Vanderbilt 6½, Mississippi 5½, Kentucky 5½.

The ACC schools listed: Florida State 10, Virginia Tech 9, Clemson 8½, Georgia Tech 8, North Carolina 7½, Miami 7, Virginia 6½, Duke 3½.

The odds on Georgia to reach a BCS bowl game are about 2.3-to-1 against.

now about those moral victories….

1953dawg :
“Dawgfan, not sure what SECC game you watched, but outclassed?? Don’t think so. If not for 2 dropped sure T.D’S in !st Qtr, UGA would have been up 21 or 28-7. When you couple that with LSU had one first down at the half, i wouldn’t call that outclassed.”:

of course the alternate argument to that comment is that ‘ there is nothing that is moral or amoral for that matter about ugag’

Supersize,..make that SuperDumbass!!..FAI and Buffalo are in Div. 1-A (or..whatever), same as the Yellow-Jerkits! Btw- Buffalo was a sub-in when we originally had a PAC-10 team on the schedule………..idiot!
————————————————-
Spanky that is cause the dWags ran like the porch mutts they are from the Home-n-Home against Oregon. The dWags traded an EZ Boise St WIN in the Ga Dome for a Home-n-Home with Oregon. i guess it worked well for the dWags they will go 1-n-1 instead of 2 loses to Oregon.

Muschamp will be the Ray Goff coaching. Get really good recruits but doesn’t know what to do with the talent.
Everyone thinks Muschamp will be a good coach because of how “fired up” he always is.
His body of work is not impressive. At LSU that was all Saban & at Texas his defenses were not all that great.

Tekies, please break down for me why your schedule is sooooo much harder than UGA’s. Just don’t see it. I can see the sec schools giving them a hard time about the schedule, but good grief for the nerd herd on here talking smack is too much.
You lose 9 out of 10 years to a very average football team and want to talk smack.
Silly nerds.

Hey Supersize….you need a lesson in College Football 101. The only opponent the Dawgs face this year that is not D-1 is Georgia Southern. The rest of the schools are D-1 opponents. FAU…D-1, Buffalo…D-1….get your facts straight.

5150 UOAD might be interested to know that Georgia has averaged 35.2 ppg against Tech since Bobo took over as offensive coordinator. Tech has yet to hold a Mike Bobo offense under 30 points.

I’m just throwing that out there for whatever its worth, which isn’t much as we all know. I agree that Bobo is an average offensive coordinator that cannot hack it against legitimate opponents.

The Dawgs will be in the Dome for the SECCG

Will Bama be there?

My guess is no
———————————-
Why?
We’re better than every Team in the West, including LSU.
Y’all over-rate LSU.
We whipped them in both meetings last Year. We make 1 kick outta 4(all reasonable attempts) in November & We take both games, including the annihilation in the BCS Title Game.
LSUs schedule is easier than ours, which it wasn’t last year. That’s an advantage for Us per We’ll be more “battle tested”.

If UGA had Tech’s schedule then UGA would win 15 games.

I know they can only play 14 max this year, but the Dogs would do so well with an ACC schedule that they would be awarded with a 15th win just because they manhandled their opponents that much.

If Tech played UGA’s schedule then they probably wouldn’t bother to field a team.

Thanks for the info Jeff, but isn’t betting on college football sports prohibited by the NCAA. Thus the article is better suited for Tech than for Georgia considering the probations they have had over the last few years.

Is there an over and under for how many games tech will have to vacate this year?

For the Steve poster on page 1 ……

Your argument is like you saying you’d win the home run derby using a Fred Flinstone Fat-bat.
Fact is, BYU would beat the tee-total-heck out of Buffalo, Fla Atlantic, and GA. Southern. So come with something better next time.

2012, like 2011, UGA will appear to be better than they really are b/c of a weak schedule. Not putting the Dawgs, just making a statement which is pretty close to fact. SEC schedules fall where they do, and UGA is benefitting from a very easy SEC run again in 2012.

It’s McGarity who’s gutless, look at the OOC. How many proud Dawg fans, who pay lots of $$ for season tix, really enjoy traveling to Athens, doing the whole gameday thing, to watch UGA play teams like Buffalo, Fla Atlantic & GA Southern?? Check McGarity’s OOCs when he was at UF too. You’ll see Buffale, Fl Atlantic, San Jose St, etc, etc. But then again UF did play for NCs ….

So according to the BigCrimson75 (is that IQ?) prediction, Bama takes it all. LOL
If I were a homer like you, then my response would be that whoever makes it to the SEC game in Atlanta in Dec will be beat by UGA from the east. And, no rematch for two teams that either didn’t win their conference and didn’t play in the SEC CG or did win their conference and lost in the SEC CG, unlike last year.

Help!!
I need a pup fan for translation, please.
Would it be a laugh out loud moment if Bama wins the National Championship again next year?
That would be Title #15. That would be 3 out of the last 4.

Sports betting is illegal in the state of Ga. and I am personally appalled at this article. Folks need to spend their hard earned monies on the state lottery- which, of course, is not illegal.

Having said that I am full agreement and suggest the Mr. Schultz update us on what a parlay of the season over Ga. Tech/UGA would pay.

Also please provide the under for Pitbull to be a success in life. No Pitbull, you can bet all of your sister’s lunch money on college sports while in Vegas and other areas where legal. I will wager a dime on that under.

HUH? You don’t know what a Ring Knocker is?
You really say you graduated ARMY?
You are Full O S and you know it.

There not a SINGLE USMA grad that would EVER say they graduated ARMY.
You would ALWAYS say you are a WEST POINT Graduate.

You are not even slightly smart enough to sell your LIE.
I bet you are Air Assault and Airborne Ranger too.

Tech, like us, has 3-4 games that will be a challenge. The balance of the schedule they will win and roll up huge offensive stats like they mean something. They always talk about the 500 yards rushing when losing to us. Dawgs are in the same boat. Have about 8 for sure wins and about 4 challenges.

Since our 3rd down field goal attempt against Sparty was unsuccessful, this fall we will be kicking on 2nd down. And just wait until you see our new headphones.
