What is going on with all of this violence lately? Coaches going after coaches. Coaches going after players who went after coaches. One player even punched another right in the soft part of his zone defense.
A man can’t even go hunting any more without the whole animal kingdom getting upset about it. True story: Some Alaskan moose hunter — and doesn’t every great story start that way? — went out the other day with his musket, hoping to blow off the head of one of nature’s, unarmed creatures, who were just sitting around playing gin-rummy.
Anyway, this guy gets attacked by a grizzly bear, because unbeknownst to the hunter, the Moose, the Grizzlies and the Deer (Wake Forest) have all formed some super alliance and soon plan to announce a conference championship game and a mega-TV deal with ESPN. (That part, I might’ve made up.).
Anyway, the hunter ends up escaping, and I think the grizzly’s head is now on somebody’s wall, and the moral of the story is that the guy with the musket usually wins and the SEC will never admonish him for being an idiot because it’s easier to look tough when you pick on the kid because he’s going to be off campus soon anyway. (See how I did that?)
So the SEC suspends Georgia and Vanderbilt players, but not even a reprimand for the coaches. The conference hasn’t been this whipped since it was taking orders from Urban Meyer.
Meanwhile, on to the less violent ACC. Georgia Tech plays Miami. The Hurricanes will be without defensive tackle Micanor Regis, who last week punched a North Carolina player, Dwight Jones, in the groin. Miami suspended him for “violation of team rules,” which should cover most felonies, post-Jimmy Johnson.
The Jackets have their own issues. The offense produced two touchdowns against Virginia. That’s like a punch to the groin for Paul Johnson. The defense has given up 520 yards rushing in the last two games. On second thought, maybe Johnson should punch Al Groh in the groin.
Tech suddenly has too many warning signs. Also, Miami hasn’t been a garden spot for them. Jackets lose. Canes cover 3.
Mr. Blutarsky: Zero. Point. Zero.

"Classy" Freddie Blassie has a plan for Florida.
Todd Grantham: Off this week. Studying the poetry of Freddie Blassie to prepare for the Florida game.
South Alabama at Georgia State: The Panthers have lost five straight. The problem isn’t Bill Curry’s coaching. The problem is, at the age of 69, he can tackle better than some of his players. No line: State wins.
Tennessee at Alabama: Nick Saban responded to questions about conference expansion and the Heisman race with something from Bartletts’ Quotations: “I could give a s— about all that, excuse my French.” Why do we blame the French every time we swear? And hey, if Saban thinks he has problems, Derek Dooley can look at Tennessee game film and give you an entire dissertation in French. Tide covers 29.
North Carolina at Clemson: Dwight Jones will sing the national anthem. Clemson covers 10½.
Auburn at LSU: Three LSU players have been suspended, reportedly for “synthetic” marijuana, which further magnifies the tragedy of today’s youth because they don’t know the first thing about planting seeds, putting a grow light in your closest, and … wait, where was I? LSU covers 22½.
Three LSU players go to class
Arkansas at Old Ms.: Houston Nutt is the first Mississippi coach to lose nine straight conference games. You know a guy has lost it when he can’t even cheat good. Piggies cover 16.
Army at Vanderbilt: The Commodores might want to watch the chop-blocking this week. The other team is armed. Vandy wins but take Army and 10½.
Pros and Ex-Cons

This week from Don King Productions: Mike Smith (red) vs. Jim Schwartz (blue).
Falcons at Lions: I keep having this vision: Brent Grimes staring at the navel of Calvin Johnson at the goal line. But the Lions can’t stop the run. And on the Rock ‘em Sock ‘em Robots coaching front, I like Mike Smith to take out Jim Schwartz inside of six rounds. Take the 4 but Falcons win this straight up.
Redskins at Panthers: I just saw a picture of Mark Rypien’s daughter, Angela, who plays quarterback in the Lingerie Football League. The Manning tree just slipped to second place. (Did you really want me to debate the merits of John Beck over Rex Grossman?) Carolina covers 2½.

This is Angela Rypien of the Lingerie Football League's Seattle Mist. Sorry, I can't identify No. 13 in green. Like it matters.
Broncos at Dolphins: Tim Tebow lays hands on the 1-4 Broncos. Fortunately, he only faces 0-5 Miami, so this is sort of like asking a faith-healer: Can you mow my lawn? Take Denver straight up and 1½.
Packers at Vikings: The Packers might be the most powerful force since the Romans, although I’m quite sure if Augustus was in Green Bay he’d look around and say, “Wow, I thought Milwaukee was bad.” Packers cover 9.
Chiefs at Raiders: Oakland traded potentially two first-round picks for Carson Palmer, who last year threw 20 interceptions and won four games. He makes his first start in over nine months. If this is craps, the Raiders are trying to the roll the hard eight. But it’s the Chiefs. Raiders cover 4.

“Nine gamblers could not feed a single rooster.” — Yugoslav proverb
Last week (slightly cloudy): 8-3 straight up, 6-5 against the line.
Overall (Real. and spectacular): 59-24 straight up; 53-29-1 against the line.
“Sack Schultz” contest: Last week’s local and national winner (cheater) was Dan Lott of Roswell. He went 15-0. I didn’t. Don’t want to talk about it.

Don’t have anything to say but I’m so close to the top… I think that the Falcons will win also. Our schedule sets up pretty well with the 2 against the Saints, this Lions game and the game at Houston on the road being the biggest question marks left. Would like to see some mis-direction stuff with Quiz.

I see you took my advice and took the Canes to cover. I maintain that I was the first (and maybe only) last week to predict a straight-up UVA beat down of my team (although I admit that I didn’t expect it to be so humiliating, as humiliating as a 3-point loss on the road can be.)
Lots of big (point) spreads this week and it’s tempting to go with the underdogs and the large wads of cushion until you start looking at who you’d have to pick (Awbrun, Tennessee, et. al.).
Punch in the groin…that’s what the UVA loss felt like.

I have so many degrees from UGA since I’ve been hanging around as Temporary Mascot. I wish one or two of them would help me get a full time job somewhere. If Coach Grantham is going to study up on Freddie Blassie he will have to learn to call other coaches names like, “pencil neck geek” . . . or, he might try that on Dr Adams. Coach Grantham was a last choice hire after 6 or 7 coaches turned down the job so we get what we got. He’s not very smart but who is in Athens these days? Most of our players have names that defy the alphabet. I hear Grantham may have our players rub pepper in the eyes of the other team while they are on the ground. When they get up he’s going to call ‘em crybabies and give ‘em the choke sign. I really like the fire he brings to this team. We’re pretty close to being a gang if we can find that one good fight.

Jeff,
I disagree RE: Tigers v. Tigers. LSU is obviously the favorite in this game, but I never bit on the 3 TD spread even before the incense incident. I’ve just watched too many of these match-ups. I expect a low scoring head-banger similar to LSU’s earlier game with MSU – only Auburn is a much better team now than Misery State was then. I’m expecting something more along the lines of LSU 24-17.
Too bad I’m not a betting man, or I’d take this bet all the way to the bank.

Schultz you are an biased anti-Georgian who needs to be run out of the state.
How can you even call yourself an Atlanta sportswriter when all you have done all week is attempt to rally the SEC offices to suspend Georgia players and coaches? Atlanta is in the state of Georgia and you as a reporter in this state have an obligation to support the schools in this state. If you can’t support your home schools, you need to find another state to live in.
If I had any control over your job or your position, I would require to sleep in the streets with those lowlife hippies that make up OccupyAtlanta. No, that would be too nice. I would FIRE YOU IMMEDIATELY.
It is hard to believe that you called the SEC offices and asked WHY THEY DID NOT SUSPEND GRANTHAM? You are the equivalent of Sherman in Atlanta wanting to see all that is good in the state of Georgia burned to the ground. You should be fired and barred from reporting in the state. If you ain’t for Georgia, then you are against us and you need to get out of the state.
It is hard to believe that the AJC staff kept pushing, misreporting the facts (actually reporting them one-sided) and even calling and rallying for SEC suspensions. You guys care more about Vandy recruits that Georgia recruits?
You are a lowlife and I hope it catches up with you soon. I would encourage all UGA supporters to boycott you, your paper, and your ridiculing biased reporting efforts towards the Univ of Georgia.

Scam threw a punch, 0 punishment. Fairley with late and dirty hits to the spine and knee, 0 punishment.
Stop being so naive people.

“How many of our players are getting arrested? How many of our players have thrown punches during a game? How many of our coaches are starting fights with other coaches after the game? We certainly aren’t perfect but we are a much more classy program then UGA is.”
____________________________________________________________
What makes Georgia tek more classy than UGA, again please ?
And, that is why Georgia tek is on NCAA PROBATION back-to-back, repeat offenders of the Major Infractions Database in FOOTBALL ?
Why 1 of your athletes is charged with MURDER ?
Why Calvin Johnson does a commercial without talking – because if he opens his mouth, you see he cannot even talk ?
Why your football player who had 52 lbs. of drugs in his van with his child in his lap on your campus, taking them to a dealer to sell them there in the slums of downtown Atlanta, Rueben Houston, was put in the game against Georgia and played against us – after he ADMITTED all this to the AJ-C ?
Why you have beat the coach, who is on the hotseat here at UGA, 1 time in his 11th season now ?
Why you have blown-up half your GRANT field and offer 2 cokes, parking permit, bag of boiled peanuts and 4 hot dogs to anyone who will buy 1 ticket ?
Why you strip search ladies who have season tickets and sued your Athletic Department for taking a Chick-fil-A from a vendor directly in-front of your gates to your silly little empty stadium, when she threw it away in the trash when told that vendor had rights to sell it at the front gate but not for consumption INSIDE the empty stadium ?
Why you have half our attendance, and that only because we buy your season tickets in years like this one, and throw all the other games’ tickets away ?
Why you have not won a Major Bowl Game since 1955 ?
Why your recruiting is # 51 in the nation every year of Paul Johnson ?
Why Paul Johnson hired little Joey Hamilton to be his Director of Player Development, who then took his 1st paycheck and bought drugs, committed a hit and run, was drunk, left the scene and apologized ?
Why you graduate fewer of your football players than we, why you graduate fewer of your baseball players than we, why you graduate fewer of your ladies’ basketball team than we, why you graduate fewer of your men’s basketball players than we – and yet, why we BEAT YOU IN ALL THESE SPORTS too ?
Why your baseball player died of heroin overdose ?
Why his parents then said that the coaches at tek never told them their child had any issues ?
Why he could just walk off the itty-bitty campus into the slums and buy heroin ?
Why your precious Bobby Dodd, never beat, and always lost to Vince Dooley, every single time ?
Why Bobby Dodd is a college drop-out of the University of Tennessee at Knoxville ?
Why your fans are notorious for throwing liquor bottles at opposing fans ?
Why Stephon Marbury played basketball at Georgia tek ?
Why you fired your men’s basketball coach with his graduation rate of -0- percent and never beat any of our UGA coaches, even on his own court ?
Why you call yourselves yellow-jackettes but have gold on your uni like we all don’t know what color a yellowjacket is ?
Why you call your mascot a 1930 Model-T the Ramblin’ Wreck, yet in 1893 when your cheaters you PAID MONEY to who all beat us that 1 year in football were stoned getting on a train which was rear-ended in Lawrenceville, Ga and showed up back here in Atlanta a train wreck, and now you call a Model-T from 30 years later the “Ramblin’ Wreck” ?
Why your football coach, Paul Johnson says he likes beating cupcakes and if an UGA person comes near you, just punch us in the mouth ?
Why 7 seasons Georgia tek has lost EVERY FOOTBALL GAME all season long ?
Why 5 more season Georgia tek has lost EVERY FOOTBALL GAME all season long except 1 only single win ?
Why you are referred to as Nerds ?
Why you play Dungeons and Dragons, whatever that is ?
Why you watch Star Trek all day and all night ?
Why you have more Asian men in your school than you do ALL women with nearly one-third of your student body Asian Men and only 29 percent of all your student body women ?
Not that I am against Asian men, but if I wanted to go to college today, Georgia tek would be the last place I would want to go when UGA has 55 percent beautiful ladies and you 29 %, so this makes you more classy than UGA ?
Why you are downtown in a city of 6 million and we in a city of 50,000 which folks in Atlanta can drive to faster than getting to the slums where even you don’t feel safe and no one attending any of your events while we are packed – with YOU in HERE on our blogs to talk to little ole us ?
This is why you are a so much more classy program then UGA is ?

I’m sure you saw my post(s) on your other lame blog, Jeff. I’m quite serious. I want to see that article discussing James Franklin’s behavior as the head coach of Vanderbilt at the end of last week’s game. I want you to take the video of the Vanderbilt player attempting to take out Kwame Geather’s legs from the backside, put it in slow motion like you did Todd Grantham, and point out exactly the moment you think Franklin was referring to when he suggested that his player should have aborted his ill-advised mission. Incidentally, neither Geathers or what’s his name were even near the play. Franklin is a fool and you know it. “Game could go either way” and “I’d never bet it” – It’s one of the easiest bets on the schedule. The line is 3 1/2 to 4 depending on the source. Miami will win by at least 10. Tech’s defense will line up to stop the run and Harris will have another first half like he had against UNC. On the offensive side, Miami will not be able to get the penetration up the middle that UVa got, but their speed will negate anything on the outside. Washington hasn’t shown the ability to pass consistently, so the safeties will cheat up and stop the inside run and QB keeper. A couple of cheap scores when the game gets out of hand late. UM 35 GT 21.

I sent an email to SEC associate commissioner Charles Bloom asking why there was no publish discipline of any kind for Grantham and Franklin. This was his emailed response: “Matter handled internally between league office and schools.”
the title of your article was also implying that you wanted the coach punished
the real answer to your question is that Slive would have to do something to your hero in the Vandy ordeal — FRANKLIN
and in turn he would have to deal with the 3 to 5 minute cursing of officials by your favorite coach for next week – “BOOM” MUSCHAMP

I am glad that you developed an appreciation for Rugby League when you were in the UK. I loved it as well – I went to Wembley to see my team (Widnes) in the Challenge Cup Final in 1979. It was much safer being an opposing fan at a rugbey game than a football game. Heck – I rode to the semi-final from Bradford on a bus with a bunch Bradford Northern fans and took the rode the train from London back to Leeds with a bunch of (losing) Wakefield fans. It was much safer than being an Everton fan at Leeds United.

I forgot to make one comment on Rugby Union – it has changed a great deal since the early 80’s. As well as being an openly preofessional sport now, they have incorporated many of the tactics from Rugby League. You don’t get complete sets of forwards going into a ruck or maul now – several go in, but the rest will spread out like league players and drive forward with short passes. Scrums are the same and lineouts got much worse – when I played you couldn’t lift a player.

Paul – About those enemy fans, that’s when you stand up and say, “Hey y’all…I’m an American.” I went to my one-and-only soccer match in Leicester, who were playing Rotherham. A Jordie friend who worked in our terrapin (kind of Brit WWII quonset hut) took a Westinghouse guy (big loud Italian descent fellow) and me to the match. We were in a closed end grandstand behind one goal, not very crowded. Our loud friend Dan used to bellow and laugh a lot. A Leicester fan sitting behind us tapped me on the shoulder and said, “Excuse me..are you from Rotherham? I answered by pointing at Dan and rolling my eyes, saying, “Pittsburgh. America.” That seemed to satisfy him.
Gary Lineker, a young local product led the Foxes to be promoted to the First Division after the season, joining Liverpool, Aston Villa and the rest of the big teams. He made a *lot* of money later.

Paul- One Saturday Dan and I joined a busload of Brits going to the HyperMart in Calais, via the channel hovercraft out of Dover. All worked out okay until the lot of us made our way back to the bus that evening, where we noticed local Calais men throwing rocks at the bus. We piled into the bus, and I slid my window open and yelled, “Je suis American!”, trying to distinguish myself from our Brit tourists. They then focused their aim specifically on my window.

Not new news but news to me tonight. UM’s best defensive tackle is out on suspension. They have several injuries to linebackers and defensive lineman with extensive play experience. They have DE’s moving down to DT and freshman DT’s playing now. They are not particularly good in the secondary as it is. GT will run wild and Tevin will get his MoJo back in the passing game. Look for Orwin to have a huge game on the edge and Hill catches 5 balls for 200+.
The Tech defense is back at full strength. That doesn’t say much against the run, but it should be enough to get some stops as UM is a pass happy offense and Tech plays very well in the secondary.
MTS, UNC, and NCST all had significant injuries on defense against Tech and I would argue that Tech torched all three. Knowing this, Tech gets the early MO and Harris has to throw the ball all game to stay close. If Coach AG brings some pressure off the edge, and that’s a big if, because he rarely does, Tech wins comfortably. CPJ is too good to lose 3 straight and whether he would admit it not; a loss to Miami makes Clemson too tough to rebound from for a young team. I suspect CPJ and AG coach the game of their lives and the players, after a light week of practice rebound from UVA.
Tech – 45
UM – 27

Love the Calais story. As a lifelong Everton fan, I have to correct you about Gary Lineker – he didn’t go to play for Liverpool – he went to play for Everton (the “other” team in Liverpool). My dad never forgave the Blues for transferring him to Barcelona. Lineker was a great player – he was the winner of the Golden Boot (top goal scorer) in the 1990 WC.
BTW – confusing Everton with Liverpool is a sports crime comparable to confusing Georgia Tech with Georgia.

Georgia Tech has the nation’s highest average SAT score for football players, and also the highest average high school GPA.
UGA, on the other hand, had one of the very lowest SAT averages, as well as a very low GPA average. As a result, three-fourths of UGA players are “special admits,” when means that they can not meet the minimum educational and intelligence requirements for admission to UGA, even as low as that is.
Yes, it would be great if Tech was more competitive with UGA, but most Tech fans are proud of our heritage of having intelligent, responsible athletes who go on to rewarding careers and contribute to society.
Contrast this with the very unintelligent t-h-u-g-s that UGA recruits. The 45 arrests over the last four years is proof enough, not to mention winning the Fulmer Cup. Most of these goons are tossed out after their eligibility is over, and many end up on welfare.
UGA is clearly just a football f-a-c-t-o-r-y dedicated to winning at all costs, and most UGA fans are okay with this, with no concern about the embarrassment this brings to the State of Georgia.
Mark Richt is the architect of this situation. With his $3.5 million salary, he will continue to recruit the illiterate brain-dead t-h-u-g-s who he thinks will win. Unfortunately for UGA fans, he’s not remotely in the same league with the top coaches in the SEC.
So the bottom line is that Georgia Tech – win or lose – does so with honor and integrity, while the lowlife gangbangers in Athens continue to embarrass us all.

PDawg — I was expecting public reprimands for Todd Grantham and James Franklin, something along the lines of a statement from Mike Slive about college coaches needing to set a better example for the youth. I’ve never written either should be suspended or fined. I emailed a spokesperson for the SEC, Charles Bloom, asking about the fact that coaches were not referenced in the statement about the players suspensions, which was surprising to a lot more folks than just me.
As for “implying” something, you should know me better than that. I don’t write between the lines. If I think somebody should be suspended, I’ll write somebody should be suspended.

If ppl like you and veronica didnt come on here and say dumb things I wouldnt point it out. But you do, so I do. And if you cant handle the reasons for why Williams and Geathers suspensions are BS ( Veronica- that stands for Bull Sh#t) then you should go elsewhere. Its only the UGA haters saying that they were justified. But no one can say why Fairley and Scam didnt get suspended for the exact same things. Scam threw punches at UGA no suspension, Fairley had multiple late hits on Murray to the spine and the knee no suspension.
So until someone can tell me a legitmate reason why those are any different than what Williams and Geathers did, then my comments stand. The only explanation available is that Auburn was undefeated and Silve didnt want to end our NC streak in the SEC. Thats it, nothing else has been provided.

Although I’m a Tech man through and through, I’ll have to admit this team is not good at all. In fact I would say they’re the worst 6-1 team in college football. Miami will handle us with ease. Our punting and kicking will be terrible as usual and we will allow runners to run at will. Hopefully, we can prevent it from being a blowout. Prediction. Miami 38-Tech 21.

True Dawg Fan – I will grant that it is a possibility that your keyboard doesn’t have an apostrophe but if you don’t want to continue to give yourself away I would recommend you at least use “you are” or in chat mode “ur”. It’s one of the giveaways that you’re a liar. I gave you the apostrophe thing so we won’t discuss its vs it’s. Since this is a blog the misspellings happen and that is fine but other giveaways are totally missing homonyms and near misses that pass spell checkers. Road instead of rode. Ally instead of alley. Loose instead of lose. I just can’t see those passing muster at UGA even as an athlete in the pre-Jan Kemp era.
The most blatant evidence that you are a liar is the content in your posts. I’m going to paraphrase here because I don’t feel like looking them all up but the content you have spewed over the last couple of days consists of:
Grantham is a hero for having his kid’s back.
That same kid is an angel who deserves no punishment whatsoever.
That same kid did not rile up the bad man Franklin while being an ingrate after the gun.
Geathers wasn’t responsible for kidney punching an opponent while said opponent was prone and face down to the ground.
Said opponent deserves much more punishment as his play was more dirty even if Geathers’ punch was well after the whistle.
Franklin is a _______ too many to recount.
Athens is a football town and Adams needs to have his house burned down if he doesn’t get the message that UGA is all about football.
I have a real BS in Biology from UGA from many years ago and to throw a twist in your knickers a real MS from Tech. I paid in full for one daughter to go through UGA and supplemented the Hope on another. I’ve traded barbs with both sides with glee at sporting events and even with Grizzard and Hudspeth in Harrison’s on Peachtree. I’ve posted on the internet before it was called the internet and seen your like many times.
I remember when you received 15 yards for a personal foul in the college game for merely uttering a simple Anglo-Saxon vulgarity much less an actual God’s-name-in-vain curse. Taunting? Fuggitaboutit. Getting caught throwing a punch, eye gouge, club elbow were also 15 yards plus ejection. Truth be told in the Vandy game Georgia would be lucky if those rules were still upheld in that fashion. Geathers would be available to play Florida for the entire game and Williams wouldn’t have been on the field to embarrass his University, coach and himself after the gun. Therefore Grantham wouldn’t have felt it necessary to embarrass his current employers and himself. I also hearken back to a day when football coaches wore ties and in the college game I’ve seen a couple of instances where a coach had the gumption to sit down a player for a transgression the referee didn’t even see. Professional football wasn’t considered a career path due to economics not skill set.
The problem that the University has had for many years is that every Tom, Dick and Harry in the state has identified themselves with the football team. The school administration has often been complicit with the Athletic Department in currying favor with these fringe elements. A huge amount of money is involved. So much that academia has been enhanced from the spillover, but at what cost? Suffering fools that identify themselves with the University because they sometimes buy a ticket or have a red and black truck. Tech never had much of an issue with this as their following consisted of students and their immediate family. Rural Georgia saw Tech as city slickers and worse, even Yankees.
I go through all of this to say that I would ask you to not identify yourself as a graduate of my alma mater and spout such ignorance or, if you will, follow your own succinct advice; “Dont comment it shows how stupid and uninformed you are”. Though I don’t suffer fools too well and that is certainly one of my shortcomings I will not continue to argue with one. My daddy, God rest his soul, made it clear what you are when you attempt to argue with a fool.

A man was working on his motorcycle on his patio and his wife was in the house in the kitchen. The man was racing the engine on the motorcycle and somehow, the motorcycle slipped into gear. The man, still holding the handlebars, was dragged through a glass patio door and along with the motorcycle dumped onto the floor inside the house.
The wife, hearing the crash, ran into the dining room, and found her husband laying on the floor, cut and bleeding, the motorcycle laying next to him and the patio door shattered.
The wife ran to the phone and summoned an ambulance.
Because they lived on a fairly large hill, the wife went down the several flights of long steps to the street to direct the paramedics to her husband. After the ambulance arrived and transported the husband to the hospital, the wife uprights the motorcycle and pushed it outside.
Seeing that gas had spilled on the floor, the wife obtained some papers towels, blotted up the gasoline, and threw the towels in the toilet.
The husband was treated at the hospital and was released to come home. After arriving home, he looked at the shattered patio door and the damage done to his motorcycle. He became despondent, went into the bathroom, sat on the toilet and smoked a cigarette. After finishing the cigarette, he flipped it between his legs into the toilet bowl while still seated.
The wife, who was in the kitchen, heard a loud explosion and her husband screaming. She ran into the bathroom and found her husband lying on the floor. His trousers had been blown away and he was suffering burns on the buttocks, the back of his legs and his groin. The wife again ran to the phone and called for an ambulance.
The same ambulance crew was dispatched and the wife met them at the street. The paramedics loaded the husband on the stretcher and began carrying him to the street. While they were going down the stairs to the street accompanied by the wife, one of the paramedics asked the wife how the husband had burned himself. She told them and the paramedics started laughing so hard, one of them tipped the stretcher and dumped the husband out. He fell down the remaining steps and broke his arm.
This story redefines what it is to have a bad day.

Attention, everyone, especially dawgtards. We will now observe a moment of silence in memory of Saint Jan Kemp, the courageous lady who exposed the shameful practices at UGA that were initiated and carried out by slimeball Vince Dooley. Dooley’s image as a coach and a nice guy were forever shattered during the trial, not to mention the one million dollars that dawgtards had to pay Saint Jan. These practices of recruiting morons and coddling them for four years, then tossing them out like garbage, are still going on, but at least the world knows what’s happening in Athens now.
And now, a moment of silence…

You know the Falcons will abandon the run during the game as soon as they have success with it. Better plan on some quick slant routes as no way the offensive line can give Ryan time to throw. Unfortunately Stafford and Johnson are going to have a field day with Grimes, sadly game Lions.
Tampa Bay loses a home game playing in England (being the home team @ Wembley doesn’t count) and have only 3 games left at home which 2 could be losses against Dallas and Houston. How many games will Sean Payton coach from the Press Box? Will the pain killers and altitude affect his coaching? The Saints defense is suspect as they discovered against the NFL’s 15th ranked offense in Tampa Bay. And, unless they throw that switch everyone keeps talking about, the Falcons are going to end that run of consecutive winning seasons. C’mon Birds, amp it up!!!

I cant believe that jeff schitz picked the great paul johnson to lose a game as he said when tech was 6 and 0 ( after playing a schedual of team that could not beat a good high school) that tech might run the table because paul johnson was the greatest coach in the history of college football. paul johnson is a great coach as long as he is playimg undermaned football teams but when he plays just decent team he will lose most of the time and if it is a good team he almost never wins. so jeff please explain how paul johnson is such a great coach he always loses when he plays a good team

We have not done well against good teams, ourselves, after 2005. 2005 was Seven (7) seasons ago. Even then, in 2005, we ended up the # 3 team in The SEC in every single solitary poll, # 3 SEC. Our goals around here are not high enough. If you wish to discuss a pansy schedule, there is not 1 team on our entire schedule – including us – who has beat any good team. (Auburn beat South Carolina and South Carolina would not end up a top 25 team, had they not beat us. Did I say thank you Aaron Murray ? )
“I actually asked Claude [Felton, associate athletic director] where we landed,” Richt said Sunday night. “I think it’s a good thing. … Although we were making progress, you really can’t see it until your team flashes up in the top 25. When it comes to media coverage, especially on the networks that cover college football, they tend to spend a lot of time on the top 25 teams.
“So hopefully we can stay there a while.”

So, now we DREAM to “flash up in the top 25” I mean wow, and hopefully even more wow, stay there just a little while – before dropping back out. We really have lofty goals around here now for the # 11 football program in 1-A wins all-time.

Schitz said they might run the table when they were 6 and 0 and had the best coach in college football but they have lost thier last two games playing teams that have won 24 games and lost 32 and thier pin head fat boy coach wants to play a weaker schedual but he also said he is the coach and not interested in graduation percent and it show in the paper that techie football and basketball players are double dumb. have you ever heard them speak ( duh, whut, whers u stay, like, every three words, and you wonder why they can’t all run in the same direction or run a pass route)
