Tucker Carlson.

Michael Vick.
I write this knowing that the last thing anybody wants — least of all me — is to rehash Michael Vick’s history of dog fighting. But this seems worth mentioning: A commentator for Fox News (”fair and balanced”) just declared that Vick should be executed.
Tucker Carlson, filling in for Sean Hannity on Fox News, was addressing reports that President Obama phoned Philadelphia Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie to congratulate him for giving Vick a second chance in the NFL. Carlson went off on a rant and punctuated his remarks by declaring, “I think personally he should’ve been executed for that.”
Wow. And he said this even BEFORE the Eagles were upset by Minnesota Tuesday night. What would Carlson do to Vick now?
Here’s the video:
Once more, this time with feeling: Vick served his time for his crimes and has the right to earn a living. Anybody who chooses to boo or criticize him as a result of his past is completely within their rights. But I’m certain declaring on a national news broadcast that somebody should be executed probably is over the journalistic line.
Then again, I’m not completely familiar with Fox’s “fair and balanced” standards.

Which is why no one cares what Carlson says. Why are you giving him the publicity that he seeks? John Stewart called him on his bow-ties being theater, to his face no less. This is more of that. You spreading this dribble is inflammatory and theater itself.

Jeff, your first mistake was listening to anything said on the Fox “News” Channel.
Your second mistake was listening to anything said on the Fox “News” Channel.
Finally, are you sure that Tucker’s “execution” comment wasn’t directed towards Obama rather than Vick? That seems to be more consistent with the FNC message.

I think you have something there. Liberals tend to care more about animal torture than conservatives.
In my opinion Fox viewers are not much different from delusional Falcons fans

See no reason why Carlson’s comments are shocking. Agree 100%. The fact Obama feels the need to chime in, should execute him also.

You have just made a very ignorant statement. Supposed someone said you should not have the right to live? Or better yet someone in your family? Remember this, no matter how much you despise someone, people are still human. Grow up!

Why will I never forgive? Sorry Jesus. Long suffering Falcon fans do not deserve being flipped off by a guy being paid zillions of dollars to compete FOR them. Chris Miller did it too but he was an untalented afterthought. Hate him as much as I do MV7. Guess HIS color! MV7 lied to Falcon fans. MV7 admitted QUITTING on teammates and thusly fans. It goes far beyond this dog business with me. It involves a total lack of character or moral worthiness! Do not like ANYONE to do Falcons wrong.

Tucker is a Limpnickey (replace the “n” with a “d”. He gets nowhere with the ugly bowtie. I wonder if he is a Muslim in bowtie drag? He claims to be a Christian, I am not so sure about that. He is not very astute on the subject of politics and he only runs his mouth to keep hearing his own voice. He is part of a political party that is run by a pack of staunch old men who have had all the affairs their money could buy and now they have come home to roost when the plumbing went bad. It is sad to see a young man like Tucker surround him self with these old poots and he is following in their steps. Mr. Limpnickey, you may want to keep quiet on Mike Vick or tell him to his face. I am sure you are brave enough. LOL!!!! Yeah right.

Jeff — This was an enlightening and thought provoking dialogue. I especially appreciated the empty threats that you later tossed in about deleting racially oriented comments, so as to present the idea that you were above it all and had no intention of stirring the racially charged pot. Jeff, when you make such ludicrous comments as that, you convince no one and it only demeans you and the reader. We have been treated to comments about the Klan, white supremacist, nooses, etc., Nice. I hope you feel like you need to take a shower after this low brow effort.

I also thought it was interesting what Chris Collinsworth said last night, something I have been saying for the past few seasons.
He said of Joe Webb, Mike Vick and Tim Tebow and even Aaron Rodgers.
He said, it is looking more and more that we may be seeing the new breed of qb play (the mobile qb).
Its no secret, the linemen, linebackers and blitzing safeties are just getting bigger and faster and qbs like Peyton Manning and Tom Brady are a dying breed. Wait until Tom Brady gets in the playoffs and face the playoff version of top defenses – he won’t be able to sit comfortable in that pocket and once he gets touched, he squirms just like CHOKE does.
So, that new breed theory is now reaching the analysts – told ya so
Sorry guys, that old style of sitting in the pocket is over

Anyone who has hatred towards Michael Vick should understand:
“Michael Vick DIDN’T eat the dog, YOU AT THE CHICKEN…now who is sick?”
You hypocrites eat chicken, fish, cow, etc…
Of course you guys are “SELECTIVE” on your domesticated pets which feeds right into the thoughts of liberal and conservative eltist. Who believe you are selective on who deserves specific rights as well as 2nd chances. If this were Peyton Manning not a word would be uttered, why? He is “SELECTED”. This is the same of how it is terrible to kill dogs, BUT OK TO KILL CHICKENS, COWS, FISH, SPIDERS, etc…Forget Kill! It’s OK TO EAT THOSE ANIMALS! People dig into a juicy burger daily WHILE CONDEMNING MICHAEL VICK for his crimes. Last time I checked they can all be PETS. But the “SELECTED” dog and cats are the animals of the chosen few. This is the most hypocritical discussion i have heard in year; more importantly a clear sign of the cultural elitism that exist in America.

I’m all for second chances, but the reality of it is, Vick got a second chance in a situation where nobody else would. Let’s take a high school principle (this is hypothetical of course). This principle did a great job at the school. The school had the best test scores and graduation rate in the state. The school also had a great athletic program. Basically, in all facets, the school was top in the state in many areas and one of the top high schools in the country. The principle gets caught up in a dog fighting scandal. Goes to jail. Do you think that principle, even with all of the success in their professional life, would get another job with ANY school in the country (other than possibly being a janitor)? I doubt it. Most ordinary people would not get a second chance if they had been caught up in Vick’s situation. That’s the problem I have.

I’m glad the Eagles got their azzes kicked. The best team in the NFC (Eagles) lost to a third string quarterback.
Mike Vick had a 22.5 quarterback rating last night. He should not be in the Pro Bowl.
Now, the NFL Network and ESPN are out of teams to over-hype. Go Falcons, regroup and press on.

I believe the President’s point was most ex-cons don’t get much od a second chance in our society today. Vick has and so far has taken advantage of his chance, not all is forgotten though and he will be watched closely.
Tucker Carlson is an unintelligent trust fund baby looking for relevance, good luck with that Tucker. By good luck of course I mean, fat chance of that. Could be me though, my tolerance for fools is at an all time low.

Now I’ll stand up for Brady a bit here… When he took his licking by the Giants back in the Super Bowl; he’s been a different QB ever since… You might catch him like the Ravens did last playoffs or the Browns did earlier this year; but he’ll try his darnedest to adjust…
