Choke,

You said earlier that Jacobs runs a 4.4 40…he has never run a 4.4 and I’d like to know why you think he does. No big man has ever had that kind of speed. Again, you are just throwing numbers out to suit your needs. And go ahead, post some interception numbers again like you always do.

Here you go – please show me any of my stats that are not accurate. I’ll wait

CHOKE,

You didn’t have to wait very long. Here are Jacob’s NFL combine numbers…I trust them more than hearsay from a reporter’s NY Times article.

Jacobs, Brandon (RB) Southern Illinois 6′4″ 267 4.56 2.72 1.69 19 37 9′10″ 4.49 7.54 20

Third number is his 40 time. Now what do you have to say? Want to pull up a National Enquirer or Mad Magazine article now?"

CHOKE,

I like how you ignored this post. Care to respond? Oh wait, you can't.

On the Giants, you write the Giants didn't make the playoffs in 2006. They did. They were the Wild Card.

Mike "Winner Ryan. Are you serious???? Mike Vick had no offensive line all of those guys are now gone. Jim Mora and most of his staff was a joke. They are now gone. Roddy White and Michael Jenkins benefited from having a veteran receiver(Joe Horn)to mold them into who they are. Vick constantly put the ball in there hands and they dropped it. Ryan looked decent last year because of the coaches feeding him the game at the rate he could absorb it, he had a descent O-line, and a great running game. Have you noticed Ryan very seldom throws a pass over 15 yards and hardly ever hits a receiver in stride? I think he may have the smarts to read defenses presnap but he is a rookie after the snap and currently lacks the physical skills of an NFL QB. Heros are manufactured in the NFL. He's gonna have to play ball to get there.

The team with the exception of the $72 million man is playing well enough to "make" the playoffs. Make excuses for him but he is paid well enough to generate wins. He is below average compared to many QBs that make far less. Play Redman!!!!!! He will get it done.

I saw the game sunday in BOA stadium, I think let the injury to Turner bothered the team but Snelling did a great. If you veiw the film Smiths pushed off and so did Muhammand on the Panthers first drive. Gotta trust the back ups.

I love the Falcons, I'm a huge fan. But I am so tired of waiting on other teams to LOSE, so we can get to the playoffs and LOSE. If we beat Carolina we would be in a lot easier position. Nothing is certain in the NFL, we learned that last Sunday when Dallas, Pittsburgh and the Broncos lost. A team that does not have a reliable kicker, that has huge gaps in the secondary, that does not have a pass rush, that has a one-dimensional offense that depends on 2 guys (one hurt, the other looking scared) DOES NOT DESERVE TO BE IN THE PLAYOFFS! How about this: Go 8-8 or 9-7, get the monkey off our backs, and rebuild for 2010.

Bossman, how can you say that? Matty is constantly throwing the ball high, not the defense. recievers dropping passes, not the defense. the defense could be better, but they have played well enough to have a couple more wins. in sundays game, Matt should have been playing to take time off the clock, and setting up a field goal. instead he tries to go right down the field and throws into three on one coverage. down by two with 5 minutes left, and excellent field possition, there has never been a better time to dink and dunk, and take what the defense gives you.
when i first read an article that stated "gonzo" liked the ball high, i cringed. Matty has been high on every throw, even alot of completions are still high. recievers having to go up for a pass, instead of catching the ball in stride.I love T-Go , but if his presence is going to make Matt change his delivery, then lets go with the other tight ends.
i can look at three games, if the offence executes just a few playes better, make a few more catches, the falcons are 8-1.

Also, check the facts: 4-1 to start...1-3 since. 5-4 right now. If we go 1-3 in the next four, we sit at 6-7. We need to go 3-1 to get to a safe 8-5.

I don't know who the Falcons pissed off to get the brutal schedule they got this year, but playing FOUR teams coming off of bye weeks and between Sept. 27-Nov. 22, having SIX away games in an EIGHT game stretch (which did include a bye week for us after N.E.), is a TALL order to ask of ANY NFL team!!!! @ N.E. @S.F. @Dallas @N.O. @Carolina @Giants. In this stretch of away games already, we are 1-4 before the Giants game, which we may be 1-5 after that.

Not being pessimistic, just realistic. I love the Birds, but damn, they need a kick in the butt from somewhere.

Harsh reality check here folks!!!! As much as I love the Falcons and Matt Ryan, they only have 3 loses to give before back-to-back winning seasons is a distant memory. They should have beaten Dallas, they had a good shot at beating the Saints, but that late INT killed us, and we should have beat Carolina (although I did not see the game-was coming back from out of town). As Jeff stated they have tough games against the Giants, Philly, and another Saints showdown (at least it's in the Dome this time--15-1 home record under Smitty). These are VERY possible loses unless the Falcons right this ship. These are the only loses we can have and still have a winning season. Lose those three plus one or two down the stretch, then adios playoffs and back-to-back winning seasons!!!!
