Jeff: No one says this often enough. You are a credit to the AJC and to sportwriting in general. Thanks for all you do in a world which, through no fault of its own, is endangered. I’m a fan. All the smartasses be damned, as far as I’m concerned. As a fellow sportswriter decades ago, I met you and was impressed. You’ve never done anything to diminish that opinion. Believe me, that’s saying a lot.
