1. Why is race and black athletes now being thrown in here? (I refuse to include that in the discussion, it's irrelevant despite what race-baiters chose to believe)

2. Deangelo Hall had no reason to be on the Atlanta sideline to begin with - the players knew it would be an issue, the coaches knew it would be an issue (Jim Zorn has said he knew it wasn't a good place for him to be) If you watch the replay - Landry and Ryan were walking away from the sideline and back onto the field when Deangelo Hall was walking onto the sideline. His statement "I was trying to get my teammate out of there" is BS. He was looking for a fight. I do not think that Coach Smith acted 100% appropriately, but I think Deangelo Hall also deserves to be disciplined because he had NO BUSINESS being there in the first place.

3. If you went to the game and watched him the few minutes/plays leading up to this - you knew there was going to be an issue/scene. Not 2 minutes prior to this I said to the group of people I went to the game with "I bet Hall gets a personal foul before the end of the game" He was well on his way to a meltdown. It is no secret he has a big mouth and a hot temper - and it was starting to show after each big play the Falcons made. He was a volcano waiting to blow and it was only a matter of time. If the scene on the sideline hadn't occurred, there would have been something else. Deangelo Hall looks for attention/drama/fights/problems.

4. Consider the source - Deangelo Hall's creditability is not what it used to be. he points a lot of fingers at a lot of people, maybe its time for some self reflection.

it is ridiculous how we celebrate what Smith did (I refuse to put coach in front of his name) and had MeAngelo slapped that old man in his mouth we would be all clammering for him to be banned from the league. Regardless of how you feel about Hall, he in no way deserved to have a coach put his hands on him and the perception of a double standard between black athletes and their white counterparts only can be widened. Smith needs to be dealt with immediately and more severely than you would a player like Larry Johnson who only twittered some comments.

I know you want to continue to support Vick because he was the greatest QB to ever play in ATL and anyone that follows him is clearly a "thug", "worthless", "lousy", "chokes", etc. (please note sarcasm) Just a few questions - when was the last time Michael Vick got a team any post-season play? What was Michael Vicks pass completion percentage? How many plays did Michael Vick make that didn't center around him?

I mean if I remember correctly, MV7 didn't throw the ball because he didn't want the receivers to get the credit - he wanted to be the standout. Maybe he scrambled so much because when he did actually pass, he rarely was point. He didn't win games, and he killed dogs. When he gets here on the 6th - don't hold your breath too long waiting for him to come in. He won't. He hasn't. He has barely seen a centers back side since he was re-instated to the League. His career will fizzle out in a couple of years after he is passed around as a back-up QB.

The falcons beat a lowly Washington team..big deal, they cant beat the good teams only the has beens.

D Hall. should have lamblasted coach smith. If Hall was causing so much trouble according to the media why was he not penalized like haynesworth or landry.. he should have been ejected. this is more hype about nothing.

ITS WRONG FOR D. HALL TO WADE INTO A CROWD AND YELL AND PUSH BUT ITS HEROIC FOR COACH SMITH TO DO THE SAME THING?

I can't wait until he calls Goodell to look over the film and they slap him with a fine. I'm so glad we got rid of that loser. Then meangelo can have nightmares about Turner running right at him. He didn't even try to tackle because he knew he was going to get run over.
