Andy In Blairsville--

Georgia's strength of schedule is higher than 17 out of the top 20 teams. It's a brutal schedule. There is no "Devry". Texas and Boise State have a few "Devry"'s.

You simply have NO CLUE what you're talking about.

You couldn't be MORE WRONG!

If Cox goes 8-4, and wins a bowl game, and leads the SEC at the end of the year in touchdowns and yardage, I think he should be proud of the job he did as a leader given Georgia's challenges rushing the ball this year.

P.S. It's a complete mystery how Bobo hasn't figured out that since Richt's record is 38-3 when we have a 100 yard rusher, Bobo should be giving the ball to Ealey 20+ times a game considering Ealey's averaging 5 yards a carry (For Bobo: 20 carries x 5 yards = 100 yards = 38-3 record), and scored 60% MORE touchdowns in High School than Herschel Walker and set the state record for touchdowns and finished with a touchdown record that rivals almost any player in the HISTORY of High School running backs. Crazy man.

Joe-

You obviously havn't done your homework on penalties with Georgia.

Ga under Richt is 25-2 when committing 10+ penalties.

The score Sat was 38-0. Who cares if we had 1000 penalties with that beatdown.

I like the comments in the article from Joe Cox.

Joe is a winner. 4 state championships in High School--44-0 as a starter--this guy HATES to lose and KNOWS HOW TO WIN.

It stinks that his learning curve has really been limited to this year.

Don't worry about Cox--his numbers are really pretty good--touchdowns--yards, completion %. His interceptions have been bad but it's tough to win in the SEC when Bobo can't figure out a way to get a 100 yard rusher. Our rushing has stunk until last week.

Don't worry about Cox. He will get it done and finish well. 9-4 and a nice bowl game and leading the SEC in some states like touchdowns and yardage are achievable goals for Cox, not bad for a rebuilding year where we lost Stafford, Moreno, Massoquia, etc.

Wow, looking at td's post from November 7 (last entry, first page), you realize how great the Bear was. Look at all the Sugar and Cotton Bowl games, conference championships, and MNT's.

You have to wonder what was going on at Bama in '69 and '70, though. Maybe Richt's career will have a similar track - great early years, mid-career slide, and sustained success in the second half of the career. Ferenz at Iowa is on the rebound after going from hero to goat, so it can be done. What we have to watch for is a Phil Fulmer or Lloyd Carr type slide into mediocrity. Those slides can take years or even decades to overcome.

One thing seems certain - Georgia needs the right assistant coaches in place, and it's obvious that's not the case today. Also, you can't have a great long-term record if you are another rival's whipping boy. No matter what happens in the next few years, if this head coach simply can't beat Florida more than once every 5 years, we will need to find someone who can. Getting a yearly spanking in the WLOCP is bad for fan and team morale. Just ask any Gator who endured the 70s and 80s.

If Tennessee Tech had any talent at all at DB there would be one pass Joe Cox threw that would've been a pick six! Maybe more!
