So you think he might be able to get another job. I do not hear from the great UGA supporters talking about buying him out. I bet he would be picked up by a few achools.

When are people going to start realizing that Richt gets no support from Damon Evans and the athletic department. UGA has underperformed, and the defense has been awful (in part thanks to Martinez), but Evans (aka, Michael Adam's puppet) has not helped Richt in the least. The scheduling has been brutal thanks to Evans. GA needs to make changes, but it needs to start with firing Michael Adams. He is a cancer to the school and the program. Also, I shudder to think who Adams and Evans would want to bring in to replace Richt. I wouldn't trust those two for anything.

Jeff is the brightest and most competent writer in the SE.

Great topic.

All considered, CMR has to go. Too many ancilliary tag alongs. Bobby Cox in steriods.

Bring in a hard core football guy. UGA will win a MNC under that guy.

Mark can take his big bucks and go into ministry and missionary work.

I like CMR. A sprcial person but it is time to move on. His passion for winning football has passed.

Every dawg has his day. CMR's has passed.

Thanks for alittle sanity smilingdog. I read the first post by stendec and just about lost my supper! Where do all these experts come from? Acording to stendec he has been a fan for 50 years. has he not seen the cycles coolege football goes through?would he rather have been a Notre Dame fan for the last decade? how about Fla. State? mabe he would prefer being a Michigan fan about now that would fix him . CMR has a record second only to S. Cal. since he has been at UGA. Auburn fired one of the best coaches it has ever had and is now sitting on a surprising 5-1 record , go figure. only time will tell but I dont thik they can keep it up. Every year the real experts make their predictions on the upcoming season, and with the exception of the no brainers they dont seem to know diddley. My point if you are a UGA fan, try to relax and enjoy this college football season. CMR will make some hard decisions, the rain will end , the sun will shine, and the birds will sing. My beloved Bulldogs will be back sooner rather than later...........Trust me .....Im a Dr.

Catholic Hammer & SEC haters( read Tech fans)-

Read SI this week & shutup once & for all. Headline:"Nobody does it better" - SEC is the toughest conference now, has been this entire decade & probably most of 90's top to bottom.

Everybody who calls themselves UGA fans just take a deep breath & see what happens the rest of the season. SC only defeat came to us, we beat Ark. who manhandled Auburn & we nearly beat LSU, all while leading the nation or close to in turnover ratio. We dont have Stafford, Moreno, Massaquoi or experienced TE's. O-line may be overrated CMR does not pass & run nor do Martinez & Bobo. Those assts. will be gone after the season. So, just calm down - For God's sake there are 5 ex NFL head coaches in the SEC! We are a little classier than some of our peers in the revolving door of head coaches, let's keep it that way. If Mark Richt doesn't win SEC again soon he will be gone.
But he will. So, relax, ride this one out & stay above the fray - you will look like idiots if Richt is still here winning games in 5 years while Kiffin & Saban & Meyer have all left or gone to NFL.
And to those of you who spend an inordinate time posting on this or any other CFB blog, get a life.

You people make me sick !!! Yes we do need to replace Willie .But you can't do it in the middle of the season . Willie has a family & needs to be treated like a man . He can be replaced when the time is right.
What I have a problem with is to even say that CMR should fired is stupid .I have a friend & fellow bulldawg fan at work that says Willie
should be fired. And if not then CMR should be fired .So I asked him if we fire CMR where would we get another coach as good as him . His answer was Georgia is one of the best teams every year for the last 10 yrs. So then I asked him who do you think took us to that level .Their was nothing else he could say . We work with Tennesse ,Nerds , Alabama &Florida fans . They all say the same thing - God I hope you fire CMR .
SO IT MIGHT BE A GOOD IDEA TO STOP ACTING STUPID . Before we run off the
best coach we have ever had . You think Florida St. wouldn't like to trade coaches with us . If you can't stop crying , sell all your Ga stuff . And let someone bust you in the mouth , & start rooting for the nerds.

If Richt won't make the changes he should not be forced to do it. Instead he should be releaved of duty and someone else be put in charge. Head coaches should not need to be told what to do.
