When something negative is said about Bobby Cox, it's not against the person, but against the manager who may one day be in Cooperstown. No said he was a bad manager, he's just not a good managers for the last 4 years. The problem is that Bobby is readable when it come to making decision's,
Some feel that he is more loyalty to his players than the fans. This manager has lack motivation. drive, which is reflected in his players.
Hope next year he surprises everyone and becomes unpredictable and a winning manager again.

Shucks an empty paper sack could outmanage Cox. Cox to put it simply is a dimwit dimbulb whom would not recognize or know true baseball talent if it kicked him in the rear! All I can say is when that lunkhead finally manages his last game is GOOD RIDDANCE!

Perhaps we've forgotten the lack of talent Bobby had to deal with these past 4 years. Wren has done a masterful job of forming the team we've seen as of late despite the injuries. Though we may fall short of making post-season play this year, things are looking up for next year.

The only year I think Cox dropped the ball was 1996. We had the best team in MLB that year (as in '95) and should've won back-to-back. The meltdown was embarrassing.

Players love playing for Bobby; that says a lot. Compare that to the Mets' salary-bloated lineups w/o any championships these past years. That says a lot for Mr. Cox.

Bobby Cox supporters remind me of liberal democrats. No matter how many facts are stacked against them, they just keep on drinking the Kool-Aid.

JMc12203, that is my point. I think the large majority of fans would agree this is a playoff roster and to miss the playoffs by what could be a few games might go down as the most frustrating season in Braves history. Especially if this pitching staff doesn't get a chance in the post season. Certain moments would have to loom larger than others in that regard. Just like if you were trying to compose a 'best of' reel for the season. Anyway, 3 1/2 out doesn't seem quite as daunting with the Rockies losing 2 of 3, at home, to the Padres. Lets hope they're doing some similar second guessing in October and not the Braves.

Looks like it is about 80% glad Bobby is leaving and 20% not so glad! So who is the dimwits and the "you just don't know baseball" now! Bye Bobby!!!!!
And I can only speak for myself but yes ..... I have been a season ticket holder since 1994. So I have watched in person a ton of games and have arrived at my opinion from BEING AT THE GAMES and observing them.

Soxman: 1 AND 24 , what the hell are you talking about? Bobby won more games in World Series play. '91 (3) '92 (2) '95 (4) '96 (2). '99 (0)

People forget Bobby Cox was down to the Cardinals in 1996 3 games to 1 and came back to win the National League Championship....So I guess we can't give him the credit for that series comeback or what about the series in 1991 in the NLCS down 3-2, or Pitch hitting Francisco Cabera in the '92 NLCS......Bobby made that move. Yankees haven't won since 2000......YES SINCE 2000....WITH JOE TORRE 2001-2007. Bobby is the best in the business.
