Jeff,

Don't you think you are being a little hard on Nesbitt? I think they guy is a pretty good QB and runs the offense well.

He played his guts out on Thursday night. you could tell he was exhausted but mustered enough strength to get the job done on that final drive. try running an option offense for four quarters and see how your legs are feeling with 5 mins left in the game.

obviously, i am not a tech fan but i respect a guy who lays it on the line. that's indicative of good coaching, too.

I would say that Nesbitt looks good running the option, but could look a lot better and his paaing is anything but good. He is the main problem with passing. He is telegraphing his passes and double pumping before he throws it. Defenses have 2 months to react and get to the receiver and either intercept it or break it up. They need to work on NOT telegraphing the passes. Look the defensive backs off.

I think shorter passes and screen passes should be part of this offense. The timing isn't there for the long ball every pass. That pass to Allen on the next to last drive should be a bigger part of the mix. a little west coast offense to further confuse the "D"

As Paul Johnson said, Clemson is a good football team despite what one dawg said above. They have two great backs in Spiller and lightening fast Ford. Their Frosh QB looked very good. They have a huge offensive line and their D is tough. You have to give them credit for coming back. They will win a lot of games.

Credit Paul Johnson and great execution in the first half for the huge lead which Clemson couldn't overcome. The 82 yd TD on Tech's 2nd play was perfect execution of the option with Clemson keying on Dwyer. Tarrant is lightning in a bottle and his punt return for a TD was awesome and kudos to Johnson for having him back there on the fake FG. Finally, the TD pass from Scott Blair to D. Thomas on our fake FG was a brilliant call by Johnson. Josh Nesbitt came through in the end and put us in position at the end. Scott Blair is the Hero of the game wit his beautiful TD pass and his Field Goals including the final pressure-packed one to win the game with 57 seconds left.

I liked the call to pass on the 1st play of the game for Tech. Yes, I think Josh could be a better passer but I will take him over most of our opponent's QBs based on his overall skill level. He made the key pass when it really counted.

GREAT WIN!! GO JACKETS!!

Je Hamilton is the perfect prototype for this offense. And,as mentioned
earlier, by the 4th qtr Nesbitt was wiped out because of all the hits he
takes. Even though he showed awesome toughness at the end, we need someone else to take 10-12 snaps a game just to give Josh a chance to rest and to allow someone else to get game experience.
The biggest mistake CMR made last year was pretending that Stafford was going to be back this year or believing that this year would never get here. You have to have game experiece at the QB slot.

Dawgs: Maybe Tech would have a tough time in the SEC this year but the one SEC team we do play is a cupcake.
