Saturday can't get here soon enough. I want to see how the UGA coaching staff, and team, have addressed the many shortcomings of last year's team. We all know what they were, no need of repetition here.... The dawg nation will be taking notes, and if the dawg express gets railroaded, there will be no mercy back in Athens. It will either be "Welcome home winners", or, "Walk the Plank you sorry Dogs."

I see a lot of energy coming to a head on Saturday btwn OSU and UGA. I wouldn't be surprised to see one team win easily as the other team implodes. Let's face it - If the UGA defense shows up early and forces punts or turnovers, I think the Dawgs will show why depth through sustained recruiting can beat a decent team with a few offensive stars who hopes those few stars elevate everyone to "great."

I give OSU a realistic chance to win (I'm scared to death in fact), but I think UGA will have success on offense and win the turnover battle because of their greater athleticism and commitment to forcing turnovers this offseason (4 and 5 star recruits ought to be able to force some turnovers, right?)

Exclusive: Favre, Vick At Top Of Jersey List
Published: Monday, 31 Aug 2009 | 12:16 PM ET Text Size By: Darren Rovell
Sports Business Reporter

Perhaps the most interesting jersey sales list of all time has hit our desk at CNBC. It's the NFLShop.com's best selling jersey list from April 1-August 28.

Brett Favre Vikings jerseys now top the list at No. 1, even though the jerseys only became available when Favre signed with the team a couple weeks ago.

And despite being passed over by big retailer Dick's Sporting Goods DICKS SPORTING GOODS INCDKS
22.21 -0.60 -2.63% NYSE

Quote | Chart | News | Profile
[DKS 22.21 -0.60 (-2.63%) ], Michael Vick's Philadelphia Eagles jerseys sold well enough to make their debut at No. 4.

Also of interest is the fact that Michael Crabtree jerseys are in the top 20 even though the Texas Tech wide receiver is still holding out.

Here's the entire list from sales on NFLShop.com from the NFL's first four months of the fiscal year.

1. Brett Favre, Vikings
2. Jay Cutler, Bears
3. Troy Polamalu, Steelers
4. Michael Vick, Eagles
5. Ben Roethlisberger, Steelers
6. Tony Romo, Cowboys
7. Mark Sanchez, Jets
8. Tom Brady, Patriots
9. Adrian Peterson, Vikings
10. Eli Manning, Giants
11. Terrell Owens, Bills
12. Peyton Manning, Colts

16. Larry Fitzgerald, Cardinals
17. Joe Flacco, Ravens
18. Matt Ryan, Falcons

Matty Ice way down at #18 - that sucks :)

Personally I think Tech is way overrated

They beat their in state rivals once this decade and had a decent record in the worst BCS conference and then got killed in the bowl game

I mean am I missing something here?

Simple,

Gators go through their season with no losses, the SEC, NC, and another Heisman.

It's always entertaining to read dozens of posts from intelligent NATS full of incorrect grammar and atrocious spelling telling Georgia fans how stupid they are.

Hey Jeff, Kennesaw State students are voting in October on football. Do you think the Owls will ever have a team? If so, I'll have seats on the fifty yard line if you supply the beer.

Wreckmaniac - The one thing that actually is predictable (every day not just every year) is some Tech fan making asinine statements like "Every year starts out with Georgia ranked number one." How many times has that really happened? When you start out with something so obviously inaccurate (AKA asinine) you immediately have zero credibility. Wouldn't it make more sense to blog on the articles about Tech where no one else would read your asinine statements?

It should be an interesting game, just happy that it's only six days away. If UGA wins, will we hear again that the opponent was "overrated?"
