Spurrier knew about Tebow being left off the ballot, but threw some assistant under the bus to protect his image. He's full of BS.

I live in Columbia, SC., so I get a double dose of Spurrier everyday. I think his ego has been demolished with the Washington debacle and the ongoing Chicken Curse. He's not the football Messiah anymore. He's just another guy who can't win at USC. And, he's playing second chair to Tebow, the best QB in UF history (not Spurrier) and Meyer, the best coach in UF history (again, not Spurrier). Sour grapes. Bruised ego. Typical Spurrier.

Yeah, the tendency is to bash Spurrier. You may want to start paying some attention to his recruiting, though. This could be the surprise team in the whole conference. All Spurrier (and USC for that matter) have ever lacked is players. If I were a Bulldog fan, I'd be a little nervous about coming off of OSU and having to play SOS the next week. We all know what happened year before last.

Wow. UF's shadow is so big, Atlanta papers and Georgia fans are actually considering this topic discussion / news worthy?!?

For what its worth, Gator fans have absolutely no interest in this non-event.

Who really cares if he did or did not know. We know that Tebow is the tops right now. We will see what happens at the end of the year. As far as mother Superior, Dark Visor, I don't believe that he would let anyone do that except for maybe his son. However, it got done, it got him the attention he wanted, and in the long range psychology of the game, he may have thown some fuel to one or two fires. I never thought he was that funny any way. It was funny when UGA beat him in his senior year and cost him the National Chammpionship, however, for those of us who remember, and that year, UF beat the almight Ga Tech in the Orange Bowl. 1966 or 67. I think that was the last time that Tech went to a major bowl.

Spurrier is a snake and will never win at south Carolina. Kiffin did a excellent job for his first media days. Didn't back away from any questions and gave a great speech. I'm excited for the future. Go vols!
