3 TOPICS

1. DOES EVANS REALLY DESERVE THE CREDIT, OR COACH RICHT?
OLD NEWS: Evans was just recently recognized for inking one of the most lucrative deals in college sports.
Would that deal still be possible if it were not for Richt? In the end, who deserves the credit. Seemed Richt did not RECIEVE enough, if ANY, of the credit for the athletic departments success. Richt's impact vs. Evan's impact on UGA athletics.
Also, is there a little war of words taking place between the two. Evans wants tough schedule, Richt does not. Evans wants GA/FL to remain in Jax, Richt does not.

2. IF YOU COULD WERE ALLOWED TO CHANGE ONE THING other that a playoff and high ticket prices ABOUT COLLEGE FOOTBALL, WHAT WOULD IT BE?
I think many decisions made in college football often times neglect the true-die hard fan. I would like to here what they would change.

3. WHAT WOULD IT TAKE FOR RICHT TO BE ON THE HOT SEAT. Fulmer left after only one terrible year that was preceded by several decent years that did not include a championship. Yes, Richt has had several successful seasons at UGA but no National Championship or SEC Championship as of late. Also, he has not been that successful against UF. I am not trying to be a downer, but many fans get impatient when they have experienced a certain level of success without a Titles.

Could Dems be more afraid of Palin? The left-wing media seems to think that if they say the name "Palin" often enough, no one will notice that their anointed hero, Obama, is spending the country into a much deeper recession and possibly insolvency.

Personally, I wish Palin would go away. The lady has many great qualities, but she's way too thin-skinned to make it on the national scene. She does seem to irritate all the right people, though.

We was always hunting and fishing and reading comics. We wasn't supposed to drink much beer but Jeff was shaving when he was thirteen and he could buy us some beer and wed drink it and eat the big order of fries and a peanut butter parfait. I'm not sure what altruistic endeavors is but if its eating good fried foods thats us. We was always eating when we was playing ball together back in school. That's why we got some Dairy Queen stock in our retirement plans and why we like having our class reunion at Dairy Queen. We was always reading Jeff Schultz too. We could understand him mostly.

Who woulda thought you were an art connoisseur. Never knew that even sitting above you, and watching you tell everyone in the press box to be quiet so you could eat and write your stories.

I've got one for ya' Jeff: Do these sports stars have any altruistic endeavors? I wonder if all they do is read comics, drink beer, fish, and kill stuff !

Though I will say that all four franchises look to be getting back on track. (And the Falcons' season would qualify as euphoric for sure.)

Dimitroff, Wren, Sund, even Waddell (with the prospect of losing Kovalchuk lighting a fire under his ass).

All of these guys are doing a really good job. Nice to see all the teams well-managed for a change.

How's that for a topic? Anyone?

(Crickets chirping)

Sigh. Okay.

Uh...how them high school recruits lookin'?

By the way, I still get the nausea sometimes as a life-long fan of all things Atlanta.

Never said that I was one of those well-adjusted adults.

Jeff, ya got a huge fan right here. Welcome back, and as they said in the newer version of Battlestar Galactica, "Good hunting."

Sarah Palin has crossed over from elected official to celebrity, especially since she quit. Sorry, Red People, it's like making fun of Paris Hilton or The Backstreet Boys. (Save your breath, by the way; I'm a libertarian and I don't give a damn either way.)

Jeff, someone needs to bring the self-important athletes and celebrities down a peg, not to mention the dead-eyed mouth breathers who worship them. Keep it up, my friend.

Don't get me wrong; I love sports. But it ain't life or death, folks. Hell, it ain't even euphoria or nausea if you're a reasonably well-adjusted adult.

And props to Sonny Clusters. That is some funny stuff. I'll be laughing every time I see a Dairy Queen from now on.
