Hello, everybody. I’ll make this quick.
I need to leave town for a few days for a family situation, so there won’t be any new blogs posted online Thursday though Saturday. I should be back in time to post one or two things Sunday, including a column pointing to the start of the Braves’ home stand next week.
Let me also take this opportunity to thank you for the way you’ve responded to our new practice of having Mark Bradley and I post at least three blogs per day, Monday through Friday. Record page views indicate you like the change and we appreciate the response. Whether you agree with the opinion or not, it’s all about the passion, and you’ve go it.
Thanks again, Jeff.
This AJC sports blogger takes things seriously when he has to, but he really would rather not

Hope everything’s okay. The extra time and output from you and Mr. Bradley have not gone unnoticed and are very much appreciated. Look forward to seeing you back, but we all know family comes first.

Hope all is okay….
If so, then take the time to learn about NBA basketball while you’re gone. Then maybe you wont say dumb sh*t like that we need to acquire Rafer Alston. When you post things like this, I wonder how you don’t have permanent time off.
PATHETIC. Learn the game or let someone else write on it.

You’ll be missed, Jeff. Especially by the people who love to hate you like JSS. Haha.
Seriously though, hope everything’s okay with your family, and if it’s not, my prayers are with you.

Assuming the situation isn’t so important as to make this column meaningless to you … you might want to revisit that column you wrote about Tommy Hanson being a “bust” in his first start. He’s won his last two and in dominating terms his last one.
Perhaps you might think about taking that ax of your’s out of the young man’s back and start admitting the Braves made a good move bringing him up vice Glavine!
BTW: Haven’t heard any more talk about Glavine’s grievance. Might it be that Hanson’s performance on the mound has had a lot to do with that?

You’re funny, and sometimes out of your mind with your opinions, but this new “3 blogs a day” thing has really helped get me through a boring workday or two.
Why does this sound like I’m signing your yearbook?

Nothing is worse in this world than being SMARMY; and there’s way too much of it in this country… I hope that the other people in your family are well and that good fortune shines on them… As far as for Jeff Schultz, there’s no wrath in the whole entire universe that should not fall on his shoulders… Lot of bad dunka, karma-phala works both way… He knows where to reach me…

Ken, I noticed that too. My wife (who is not a sports fan) even asked, “what happened to all the hoopla about this jerk?” I responded with, “he found out how little 1/2 the people in Atlanta care about him and T. Hansen shut up the other 1/2.”
