The Braves need a complete overhaul.

What happened to the new ownership wanting to spend more money on the team? Why is Atlanta on such a tight budget? How about selling the naming rights to the stadium instead of calling it Turner Field. Home Depot Field would probably bring in another 10-20 million a year in sponsorship money.

Fire everyone. I would love to have a real GM, like Billy Beane. Pay the man whatever it takes. Cox is 5 years past serviceability. Pendleton and McDowell are in the bottom 5 at their jobs, too.

Need more hitting. Trade Kotchman, probably Chipper too, even though I hate that. Can afford to trade one of the starters, too. Probably Vasquez, even though I like him alot. And probably Gonzalez, too.

I wanted Adam Dunn in this past offseason so badly, but Wren wouldn't pull the trigger. He went to the Nats for 2yrs/20 mil. Braves could have offered less and gotten him. And he is sooooo worth it. He strikes out, but he hits 40 HR a year.

I think our biggest problem is our bullpen. How many times have we had the lead going into the later innings (6+) with the lead, only to watch it slip away to guys who walk hitters consistently. I can't say this enough. Peter Moylan needs to go. He has shown that he cannot pitch since his surgery. Why is it that all the "couch coaches" see this, but Cox and McDowell do not? Are they that completely oblivous to the fact that Moylan has single handedly lost what 6 games this year for us?

I'm a Twins and Braves fan, both of whom have talented yet disappointing outfielders, Delmon Young and Jeff Francouer. How about a swap? Would probably do both players and both teams some good.

Yunel Escobar is the worst baserunner in the major leagues. It is one thing if a player runs into outs when he's hitting 7th or 8th. But when you're hitting in front of an all-world hitter like Chipper Jones, you take the base the defense gives you, conservatively.

Lowe " not a big game pitcher "?
i was almost with you until you said that, now i don't think you know what you're talking about.
D. Lowe is the ONLY big game pitcher on the staff, at least until Hudson comes back.

As I intended to say on yesterday, I am 69 years of age. I have followed the since the time they were in Milwaukee. I became a die-hard Braves' when Burdette beat the Yankees three times in the 57 World Series. Now about Esco, he is no fool. During the Peavy pursuit, Esco was rumored to be in that proposed deal. Why? He is one of the better hitters on the team. There is no question that he can field and throw. Who was going to replace him at short that is as good as he is. Does he feel unappreciated when players all around him that has nowhere the potential he has seem to be "right fit" for Atlanta. Is this some type of code word. I am an Afican-Amreican who really does not like to play the race card. As reflect, it does concern me that if you are black or brown you can now become expendable very quickly playing for the Braves. That disappoint me because I have also looked forward to seeing the Braves play in Atlanta and other cities around the country. How long will JJ, Vasquez, and Esco last? How long will Brandon Jones languish in the minors? He is at least as good as Garrett Anderson. I am sure Barton will never play in Atlanta, because his hairstyle does not fit. Willie Harris played one year in Atlanta and was out. He was not the most polished outfielder, but he was as good Kelly Johnson and Frenchy. It really hurt when Justice was booted out of Atlanta. I smell dead fish, and really stinks.

As for KJ and Jordan, man it stinks to see such a smooth great swing not do any better, I believe they both need to play a bit more pepper and go for more contact hitting. They both have solid fundamentals at plate with short powerful swings with a bat on a great plain, but need to learn from Chip, make contact first.
