Mark: Who are you addressing your remark, "Free Mike Vick, you really that ignorant?" May I ask what you are talking about? "Free Mike Vice"...........Free him from what? Mike Vick is not a political prisoner...... He is already out of jail and on probation.. You made your statement as if there was a movement to "free" Vick. .......you really that ignorant? No Mark, but you appear to be. Being ignorant means not having adequate knowledge of a particular subject, situation, moral, codes, etc. If you are trying to say that some people may be naive with respect to Mike Vick, then you might be right. However, you did not use the word naive, you used the word ignorant. The people who have responded to this column are not ignorant and that goes for people on both sides of this issue. Being ignorant is not knowing what you are talking about and giving people you know absolutely nothing about labels, just to make yourself look better in your eyes. Being ignorant is making a statement that makes no sense at all to the subject at hand! Invest in a dictionary/thesaurus!!

Oh and by the way, the Rams are NOT an option for Vick. The St. Louis Post Dispatch has been all over that and confirmed (a month ago) that the Rams have 0 interest in Vick. And even if they did (which they don't) the owner would never approve it because the team is for sale.

You people complaining about Smoltz leaving for more money are idiots. What about that 25 million he left on the table from the Yankees during the prime of his career? How many of you tools would have left that kind of cash laying around? Most of you would shoot your own mothers for it. And now that his earning power is about to be completely gone, you fault that man for trying to get as much money as he can? In this economy? Would you be willing to turn down someone who was willing to pay you triple your current employer?

Told you that he'd still be writing about Michael Vick even after he was no longer a Atlanta sports or legal concern. By the way there bankruptcy expert (ha ha), the BC doesn't care what his contract status happens to be, the trustee will have domain of any and all things until his case has cleared and here's a big word: DISCHARGED. It's the presiding judge dismisses issues from Chapter 11. He's not totally liquidating (Chap. 7), stick to lusting after Ann Coulter... All they want is a realistic plan, all things considered, the Court would rather he declared Chapter 7, screw the creditors. That's the risk of doing business. Wow, but guess what? Michael Vick is actually trying to pay his contractual debts... This ranks right up there with you saying that "Humane Society" was a government agency. Now who is a poor judge of character? I say "YOU!"

DAN SNYDER covets MV7. As soon as he's cleared to return by the commish, see him in burgundy and gold. The owner of D.C.'s franchise wants him bad. Same was true with DeANGELO HALL. Two seasons back, I said so on D.ORLANDO's blog BTW, and look where he is. The prodigal returns home to a triumphant welcome. JASON CAMPBELL traded for picks.

Winderdawg: It never fails, ....a discussion could be held on the price of wheat and somehow, somewhere O.J's name pops up as if he is the poster child for all that is wrong. O.J is not my concern. We are talking about Michael Vick. Am I to understand that as far as you and obviously others are concerned, there is no redeeming value to Vick. That of all the sins committed by humanity, Michael Vick's offense is the most notorious and that no matter what he does from now on, he should never be given the opportunity to play football again? That's a little harsh, but I guess when you are one of "those people", that is to be expected. I don't know if he will ever play football again, it's not my call. However, I do feel that if there is a team out there that is willing to give Vick a chance to play, let him play. If he doesn't do well, playing football, he will be cut anyway. But at least let him have the chance. If he has not graduated from college, I'm sure that he can still make it. He's not as dumb as some people would like to believe. Made poor choices with respect to his associates, but I'm sure he has learned that they were truly not his friends. Lighten up, you might need a second chance at redeeming yourself. I'm not saying you have to commit a crime or go to jail, but we all make mistakes........no one is perfect.

Terri, Bob Kraft has a starting offensive lineman on his team right now that had to wear a WIRE for the feds to trap his supplier after he was busting coming across the Canadian border with illegal drugs. So don't start with what Bob Kraft or any other NFL owner won't do. I have no idea where some of you get the false impression that the NFL is run by some saints. They dont care about anything but money, period.

Here we go with the imaginery protestors that didn't come into fruition of any real relevance in 2007 let alone will they in 2009. Still waiting on the PUMA protestors the media swore were gonna disrupt the DNC last summer in Denver. Still waiting on all that. Jeff Schultz please provide the photograph from the AJC archives of the thousands, no, the hundreds...no...the TENS of protestors that were at Flowery Branch two years ago please. How about the pic of the 40 that marched in from of the NFL offices in MANHATTEN? I guess if you repeat this baseless statement enough times though you will have idiots believing it. As Jamie Dukes said, how many "protestors" are NFL season ticket holders in the first place? Which NFL sponsor would lose even .0001% of any sales based on these people? When have you EVER seen a dog food commercial during a football game? You haven't....EVER. Between the beer companies, fast food, GM, Ford, Coke, Pepsi and Viagra/Cialis commercials....who's scared of a bunch of overzealous dog lovers in THAT group? Nobody. So go ahead, point to the Madison Avenue marketing research that shows there will be a problem. Find the poll of actual season ticket holders in 2009 who said they'll boycott, go ahead, I dare you.
