It’s a simple, classic recipe:
One (1) broken heart.
One (1) bottle of booze. (Add more as needed).
The result is the drunken break-up, heartbreak song, presented here by the recently reunited Mavericks. I love their sound: Rockabilly beats, backed by a powerful blast of Latino horns, probably due to the influence of lead singer Raul Malo out of Miami. Good stuff.

why is congress cheering? Here’s a bit from the NYT (nytimes.com) “FEDERAL UNEMPLOYMENT BENEFITS By the end of the fiscal year, on Sept. 30, the Labor Department estimates that $2.3 billion will be cut from federal jobless benefits. Those benefits provide 14 to 47 weeks of aid after state-provided benefits run out, generally after 26 weeks. The support is critical. The share of unemployed workers who have been out of work for more than six months was 38.1 percent in January, with the worst levels of long-term unemployment occurring among workers 45 or older. That group is likely to have substantial family and financial obligations, even as it is often shunned by employers. According to an Urban Institute survey last year, workers in their 50s are about 20 percent less likely to be rehired than workers ages 25 to 34.
It will probably take the states, which administer the benefits, at least until April to make the program changes. While that will postpone the immediate pain, it means that the cuts, when they come, will be concentrated over an even shorter period.
NUTRITION AID The federal government has yet to issue specific guidance on how states should handle an estimated cut to the WIC program of $340 million this fiscal year. Little will happen until April, but, after that, priority is likely to be given increasingly to pregnant and breast-feeding women and to infants, while women not breast-feeding are put on an indefinite wait list, along with many children over 1 year old. The cutbacks to mothers would affect African-Americans disproportionately, because their breast-feeding rates are lower than other groups’. The cuts in aid to children will fall disproportionately on Hispanic families, who tend to have more children.”NYT

I awoke this morning, birds were singing, my electricity is still on, my car is in the drive way, I am healthy, my family are happy, no Obama predicted catastrophe. I realize Obama will do everything he can over the next few weeks to cause catastrophes so he can blame it on the Pubs and his dumbed down minions will go along, but for now now no economic failure. Keep an eye on Obama’s new spending programs for the truth, like golf outings, vacations for his family, travel for his constant complaining and other give aways like financial aid to the Al Quaeda Syrian rebels. Note the thousands of crimnal and dangerous prisons he has already released prior to any budget cuts. With his prisoner release program coupled with his warning of police losing their jobs, we need to reduce restrictions on gun ownership.

We get it Common, you don’t like President Obama. To that I say “so what?” A large majority of Americans did. He won. Period. Get over it. You’ll feel better in the long run. As to the sequester, I’ll just wait and see. I do hope it will all be a big nothing, but I doubt it. There WILL be job loss and economic down turn. How bad? Who know yet? But I do know this…any loss at all will fall to the feet of the Republicans. Social media is a wonderful thing.

Obama did NOT say that, the second sequestration became a reality, all these bad things you allude to would immediately take place.
If this sequestration continues, and nothing is done to stop it, there will be hardships for many. No one knows how long this will go on and how widspread the pain will be.
Using persuasive explanations to try and bolster your viewpoints only shows how shaky they are to start with.
Common sense is certainly NOT one of your strong points.

Orange,
If you look at ALL of the things being said on this subject and not just the right wing media, you would see. Remember just how correct the right wing media was in predicting the Presidential election.
The foot dragging, the actions of a spoiled four year old, the willful misuse of the filibuster, etc….all of those things point to just one thing. The GOP does not care about the average American…and I will say it again…The GOP is very good at slapping you on the back, calling you a fine patriot, and thanking you for your vote, but if you do not make over 250,000.00 a year, they will screw you royally…That y’all can’t see that must say something about our educational system too. There is no critical thinking being taught. If one would just open his eyes and look around at ALL of the evidence out there.,..

Sadly the president talks as though he’s merely an outside observer as to how the government is functioning. The sequestration should be a test of the nations chief executive and commander-n-chief as to how effective he is as its leader. In all probability Obama will continue running from office, while behaving as though he’s still running for office by blaming the opposition party for the nations woes. When will the majority of voters see this president for what he really is, just plain bad for America.
