“Ben, the two of us need look no more …”

rat.though.transferx299

Using brain implants, researchers at Duke University have allowed lab rats to communicate with each other, brain to brain, in a crude form of mental telepathy. In fact, researchers say, the two rats quickly began to collaborate, with one rat using its “brain-to-brain interface” to assist the second one in figuring out how to complete a task that would bring both of them a reward.*

In a sense, the two rats became a single biological entity. As researchers concluded, lab results “are a clear indicator that a fundamentally more complex system emerged from the operation of the BTBI; one which required considerable adaptation from the participant animals so that they could jointly perform the sensorimotor tasks.”

At one point, and just to show off, the experiment was conducted with one rat located in Brazil and a second in North Carolina, giving new meaning to Internet connectivity.

I will now give you a paragraph taken from the scientific paper reporting these discoveries, followed by a general translation:

“… we have already proposed that, in theory, channel accuracy can be increased if instead of a dyad a whole grid of multiple reciprocally interconnected brains are employed. Such a computing structure could define the first example of an organic computer capable of solving heuristic problems that would be deemed non-computable by a general Turing-machine.”

Translation: If we electronically connect not just two rat brains, but whole swarms of rat brains, one to the other, theoretically the rat swarm will become much much smarter than any individual rat, perhaps capable of solving problems that even powerful supercomputers can’t solve.

I just thought you would want to know, just in case.

That statement has the fascinating quality of being untrue, unoriginal and unfunny.

In fairness to the Republican House, it has passed budgets the last two years, and recently has passed two bills aimed at averting Friday’s sequester cuts. The Democrat Senate hasn’t passed a budget since April 29, 2009 or any bills to meet Friday’s deadline.

Budgets mean nothing. It is by way of appropriations bills that money actually gets allocated and spent by the government. It has been 16 years since Congress has passed appropriations bills on time as they should be. Who’s been in control of the House for most of that period?

You can’t claim to be the grownup when you can’t even carry out your Constitutional duties in a timely manner. Yet, the sheeple keep voting the same idiots to DC and expecting different results…

Now if you want to talk about unfair laws and total BS (at least the judge has some sense to work with). This woman should be forced to pay back every dam penny she fraudulently stole from this man.

CHESTER, VA (WWBT) -

A Colonial Heights man will no longer have to pay child support for a child that biologically isn’t his and the judge worked out a unique deal for the $23,000 in back child support he currently owes.

Dwayne Parsons is off the hook for a child DNA tests show he didn’t father. However, since Parsons signed the birth certificate, the judge is holding Parsons responsible for the promise he made 13 years ago.

In court, the judge explained that there are “certain aspects of the law that seems grossly unfair.”

“Unfortunately the law is the law, my message to everybody is if you’re unsure, about you being the father of the child, do not sign that birth certificate – that’s a well lesson learned,” said Parsons.

Parsons said the judge seemed sympathetic. He ruled Parsons won’t have to pay nearly $200 a month in child support – instead, Parsons will pay just $1 a month, interest free.

“It didn’t go exactly all the way I wanted to go, but I’m satisfied with the decision,” said Parsons.

Much to his surprise, the mother of the child, Janitha Saunders was present in court.

We tried getting her side of the story:

“I’m good, I’m good, I take care of mine, I’m good, I just took care of her for 13 years I don’t need anyone to take care of her, I’m good,” said Saunders.

Saunders didn’t have to say a word in court, but Parsons’ fiancé, Natonya Green, took the stand and told the judge Parsons did his best to make past payments.

“If you made a mistake, you made a mistake, but don’t carry that lie throughout all these years, because you’re not only messing up other people’s lives, but what about that child, has anybody thought about how she feels about it,” said Green.

Parsons says he still hopes to get back the thousands of dollars he paid in child support. He said he plans on taking the child’s mother to court.

At $1 a month, it would take about 1,917 years for Parsons to pay his debts.”

“Just be thankful he was such a sorry leader that he didn’t get anything much accomplished his first two years save Obamacare.”

Obamacare by itself is so destructive to our country, we’ve only begun to realize its cataclysmic possibilities.

That Marxist still was able to piss away $1 trillion on his “stimulus” then paid his union thug supporter billions by “bailing out” GM.

If we still had Pelosi as Speaker? The possibilities are unimaginable…

Disgraced former (Republican) lobbyist Jack Abramoff on Wednesday described Georgia as a “lobbyist Disneyland” with a national reputation for loose regulation.

Abramoff, speaking at an Atlanta Press Club luncheon, praised Georgia lawmakers for taking on lobbyist gift reform but said the bill that passed the House this week has too many loopholes.
“If I were a lobbyist here I would run through that bill in three seconds,” he said. At a later stop, Abramoff referred to his speaking tour and said, “Wherever I went people would reference Georgia as the worst place for ethics.”

The slimiest state government of all fifty…

“So help me, I enjoy watching you stick your feet in your big mouth and getting your made up nonsense and lies exposed for the benefit of the entire blog. As happened earlier tonight.”

Nice try at a deflection, there, Sherlock. I didn’t tell a “lie” since spending has only really leveled off in the past year and I had no intention of deceiving anyone. It is curious that Jay considers a one year or so leveling off of spending to mean spending is not increasing (which it soon will because of entitlements claims by baby boomers) when, on the other hand, a 15 or so year leveling off of global temperatures does NOT mean there is an end to global warming. He apparently wants it both ways, but he cannot do so logically.

“By calling attention to ‘a well regulated militia,’ the ’security’ of the nation, and the right of each citizen ‘to keep and bear arms,’ our founding fathers recognized the essentially civilian nature of our economy. Although it is extremely unlikely that the fears of governmental tyranny which gave rise to the Second Amendment will ever be a major danger to our nation, the Amendment still remains an important declaration of our basic civilian-military relationships, in which every citizen must be ready to participate in the defense of his country. For that reason I believe the Second Amendment will always be important.”

“Congresswoman Maxine Waters (D-CA) claimed today that “over 170 million jobs” could be lost due to sequestration. Later in the presser, Rep. Waters corrected herself, saying it was only “750,000 jobs” that could be lost.”

A minor inaccuracy.

Newsflash. “Chicken little struck on head by hard object – Republicans foolishly dispute scientific evidence that the sky is falling”

Silly cons never believe facts.

Being Serious – That is amazing about the Rats, I wonder how other attributes are effected (?) by the multiple brains? Such as Memory, Temperament, Ambition, etc.

Since I am never serious – Does PETA know about this?

This blog topic isn’t drawing much and it’s not surprising as libs shun brains like Vampires shun garlic.

This isn’t anything new. The Republiborg have been at it for years. Since January of 2008. One of them says no and they all chime in, etc. They’re actually quite predictable.

Thank you all for these very important remarks. Entertainment for sure. Let’s me know I am not the dumbest of all the dumb. None of us are dumb, not idiots, not stupid,or crazy. We are all insane or we wouldn’t do the same things we keep doing and saying.

“You won’t get gun control by disarming law-abiding citizens. There’s only one way to get real gun control: Disarm the thugs and the criminals, lock them up and if you don’t actually throw away the key, at least lose it for a long time… It’s a nasty truth, but those who seek to inflict harm are not fazed by gun controllers. I HAPPEN TO KNOW THIS FROM PERSONAL EXPERIENCE (emphasis added).”
