Every poll but one reports an eight-to-12-point differential between job approval and disapproval.
Actually Jay the Rasmusen Poll showed a spread of *only* 7%. I know that was a typo, was just pointing it out in case you wanted to correct it.
And for you Gwinnett County Nutcases? We moved away to Dekalb 10 years ago and even though there has been an owner change, Biba’s Italian Restaurant on Sugarloaf is still awesome. Maybe so. I think the thing that bothers me now, having never been racist, is how the white male has been bashed so much the past 20 years or so in the media and on television. Where I’ll disagree with you is I think the percentage who aren’t willing to do the job they’re qualified to do for the pay it merits vs. working the welfare system is quite a bit higher than that.
And for the record, when discussing “welfare” I include food stamps, section 8 housing, childcare assistance, utility assistance, cell phones, and the list goes on. And increasingly, I include disability since there is a pretty clear progression of people moving from actual welfare to disability.

I think his point is that a greater proportion of blacks receive welfare than do blacks. And, if that was his point, he’d right. But I think you already know that.
If that is his point, then it has absolutely nothing to do with his rant. He’s whining about paying for welfare, and he’s pointing his ire at Blacks. In reality, Whites cost more money to taxpayers in reference to welfare than Blacks, which is my point. My point is dead right, and I think YOU know that.

I feel we are at the tipping point now. Things like a work ethic, taking personal responsibility for your decisions, self-reliance are INSTILLED in children. They don’t magically develop in people. And it’s the majority of kids growing up today – white, black, Hispanic – that are without these essential traits. We’ve hit the iceberg. Most don’t know it yet.

For the math challenged, that’s about $133 a month (or $30.76 a week). You can really live high on the hog with that. Especially with a family of four!

I must have missed where he included Asians. I’ll go back and look for that. And if you read further he also noted white as well as black parasites. And I think when he says “white America” is paying the bills of course he is wrong. All of America is “paying the bills”.
I can only surmise that from his perspective that he has a sense of frustration because he sees what a lot of people already see and know- which is that blacks and Hispanics use a disproportionate share of welfare and social services than whites do as a % of their respective populations. That is nothing more than an uncomfortable truth that for some reason bothers people. It is what it is. But rest assured. Plenty of sorry ass whites that are on the dole, constantly in and out of jail, and basically just drug addicts and neverdowells. I know because out here in the country they’re all around me. And I would be shocked if whites didn’t use dramatically more welfare and social services than say Asians. Just another of those uncomfortable truths but one that shouldn’t bother any white people if they themselves are also honest.

No I have not. First, I have seldom known what information was personal and what was not. But there have been several times when I have called Jay’s attention to certain objectionable posts and I think at least two of them were by nutty cons. Jay can attest to that. And I will no longer volunteer personal information on this blog (which is a shame, because I think that helps show others that you have experienced hardship and that your beliefs are often tied to experiences).

Bottom line….. most of Bookmans liberal sheep have some pie in the sky notion about how this country should be. It is mostly ideologically based on some liberal premise that I should be happy for the government to be using my tax dollars to pay someone else’s bills. Whether they be black, white, latino…. doesn’t make much of a difference. It is the premise that people are not responsible for their own well being and that it is someone else’s fault that they made bad decisions in life. Liberals are willing to accept this crap. I am not. And when you blame white males for not being too happy with this set of affairs and start calling people like this names like racist and bigot, it just shows your ignorance. We seem to live in two different worlds. And I am damn glad that I do not live in yours.
