Fred, ‘nad, I’m about the least athletic person I know. I can’t hit or field or kick or perform the most rudimentary gymnastics for sh-t. 80 year old nursing home residents laugh at my flexibility. But I do a slightly above average job of maintaining forward motion in a mostly-straight line, so that’s what I do.

(I also lift free weights at a hardcore gym…sometimes. Really need to make that a serious NY’s resolution for 2013 since I basically blew it off most of this year.)

When you can pay for my daughter’s education at Woodward and my wife doctorate at Vanderbilt speak up about Gov’t leaches.

Get a dictionary, you two.

That passes my spell check there you wannabe OREP. Well except for the typo where I left of the ’s after wife. That’s grammar though, not a dictionary. But thanks for your concern.

good Gawd, is td doing ye olde “SOSHULIZM has FAILED everywhere it’s been TRIED” whinge?

Given that America’s right wing defines “socialism” as anything to the left of Mitt Frickin’ Romney, I’d like for these boneheads to tell the Germans, the Japanese, hell, practically any functional industrialized nation not called “China” that they’re “failures.”

After all he did go from blog to blog stating that the pollsters were over sampling Democrats and Romney was probably up by as much as 10 pts.

The fact that he really believed that tripe breitbart, Morris, Rove and Rush sold him is all you really need to know

td: I for one, thank you for the bs you spew on these blogs. The laughs are never ending. Keep doing what you are do.

Over the years, in various shops and offices, I worked side by side with a goodly number of gun nuts.

Almost all of them were ok, untill they started talking about “jews and nig*ers”.

This will not go away just because you don’t want to hear it.

oh, my gym is much more hardcore than that. It’s a rack/dip stand in my basement with an Olympic weight set. Been my heavy-sh#t-to-move-up-and-down implement of destruction of choice for over a decade now. Done with gym-gyms, thank you–and I’ve been a member of some pretty decent ones over the years. td — again from your link (I actually DO click on and READ links you know); please see items in BOLD:

We sent Mack’s fact sheet to several federal budget experts and asked them if the math worked and their opinion of Mack’s plan. Our experts included JD Foster of the conservative Heritage Foundation; Chris Edwards of the libertarian Cato Institute; Josh Gordon of the centrist Concord Coalition; Jason Peuquet of the centrist Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget; and Michael Linden, of the left-leaning Center for American Progress.

Our experts generally agreed that Mack’s math is correct and would balance the budget. But no one we interviewed thought Mack’s plan was a realistic way to balance the budget.

“One can always make the math work, as presented in this fashion it’s a fairly straightforward exercise,” Foster said.

The straight math isn’t the hard part. It’s whether to cut everything by 1 percent or to target programs selectively.

“The numbers work, but they have to be made effective by policy changes,” Foster said. “The easiest part legislatively is the targets, and you have to have those, but then you still need to finish the job.”

Republicans have programs they want to protect from cuts, just like the Democrats do, and the GOP can end up fighting amongst themselves about what to cut — take for example the battle over whether to extend the Export-Import Bank.

Never cared much for the idea of across the board cuts. Some programs need more cuts than others, and some need to be increased. Decisions should be made by people who are elected to make those decisons.

I know better than to even try to go there with you. I’ve been around “gun nuts” my whole life long and plenty of the were Jews and the melanin enhanced. That wasn’t my point, however, but your cheap and tawdry capitalizing on the ethnicity of a family in grief to further your own agenda, whatever it is, I’m not sure. I probably have had a lot more experience with anti Semitism than you. See, I can “pass” pretty easily and I’ve had plenty of an opportunity to be with the goyim when their guard is down and I’m taken as “just one of us.” I’ve even taken the opportunity to throw out my own “let’s get a reaction” and have been told in no uncertain terms to take my “Jew baiting” elsewhere.

Eveything I posted about those gun nuts was true.

Because your experience may be different, you just assume I’m “captalizing on the ethnicity of a family in grief”.

So, just because my experience is different, I’m a liar and a racist bigot.

Anyone who thinks his experience trumps everyone else’s as much as you do has an ego the size of Yankee Stadium.

Paul: 17 in jail? Consolation is it won’t affect the outcome any… the torch has passed to the Irish. Look at it this way – when did Alabama ever make any decent whiskey?

Ha, ha, very funny!! Hey I BOUGHT that lie! You have no idea how crazy those BAMMA people are! Anywhoo as for whiskey, why bother with it when you can get some good ole boy Moonshine? Those Irish would crap in their kilts if they ever had to drink that space fuel that some of those BAMMAs drink!

Frog: Some SS folks are not enthusiastic about getting behind cold dead hands..

Hiya Frog!! You, as usual, are in rare form today!

If I haven’t told you before, I want you to know that I enjoy reading your sarcastic wit every chance I get! You make me laugh AND you provide me with a LOT of witty, snarky comebacks to various “service” people!
==================

SoCoBro: DDR — I’ve been floating between CNN and ESPN all morning. I think such a happening would be somewhat headline news.

Yeah, NOW you tell me!! I was all ready to lie to Dudley about where the car payment money went next month! Whew! That reminds me –

FRED!! That was SOOOOO wrong!! NEVAH do that again!
==================

Td: It is called the Amendment process which corrected every problem you mentioned. That is not what I am talking about. I am talking about how progressives try to change the original meanings of the actual words:

WHAT? Are you saying that “Progressive” think that the majority of the American people can’t read the Constitution for themselves?

TD: Example: 2nd Amendment, where progressives try to say that the amendment means only the military should have guns because of the Militia term in the amendment.

TD – The way that the Bill Of Rights are worded CAN be misinterpreted – however that’s why we have a court system; AND the Supreme Court. The SC’s only job is to interpret the Constitutionality of all laws, ammendments, etc.

By LAW the Constitution can not be changed on a whim – there is a lengthy and deliberate process that it has to go through with the final product called Amendments. But even if the Amendment passes Congress AND the President signs it, it can STILL be either upheld OR shot down by the Supremes. e.g.: “Obamacare”.

===============

Oscar: The Constitution does not change. The questions change. New issues and problems come up that have not been addressed before.
Like “Are corporations people?” Well, the court screwed up in answering that question. corporations are a legal fiction. but I digress.
And that issue should be addressed again and reversed.
I amend my statement. The Constitution does not change, the Court just reverses incorrect decisions made by prior courts. See Brown v. Board of Education.

Exactly.

I said the math works and it does. The problem is the will to do it and some type of plan like this MUST be done. This is not Democrat or Republican but a simple fact and the Penny plan is reasonable because all parties involved will have to make some sacrifices. As a conservative do you really think I want to see Defense spending cut by 6%? No, but this plan would make all parties become more responsible and share equally in cuts.

I think you may be a little confused. Your example of Obamacare is a law passed by Congress and was challenged by, mainly the states, to not be Constitutional. An Amendment to the Constitution takes 2/3 votes of both houses of Congress and then 3/4 of all states to ratify. It is the Supreme law of the land and the SCOTUS can not rule that it is unconstitutional.
