So Emmylou—no dummy herself, for she was valedictorian of her high school class and a scholarship winner at the University of North Carolina—went out and got the best musicians available. They included the Englishman Albert Lee, the fellow playing lead guitar in Tulsa Queen. Albert might be, along with Grady Martin, the finest guitarman that ever lived. Emmylou herself said of him, “When Saint Peter asks me to chronicle my time down here on earth, I’ll be able to say (with pride if that’s allowed) that for a while I played rhythm guitar in a band with Albert Lee.” You probably saw Albert Lee playing lead guitar on the reunion tour of the Everly Brothers.

The Department of Labor has announced that new jobless claims rose by a staggering 78,000 in the first week after the election, reaching a seasonally-adjusted total of 439,000. Over the past year, and in the weeks leading up to the election, jobless claims were said to be declining, dipping as low as 339,000, with the media proclaiming that they had reached the “lowest level in more than four years.” Now, suddenly, the news seems far less rosy.

Some of the new claims, especially in New Jersey, were due to Hurricane Sandy–but these were offset by a decline in claims filed in New York. Stands, If they can sell the attack to the people as a response to the video, they can avoid having to tell the people a few weeks before the election that they had a terrorist attack on their watch. In a place we’ve had several other attacks in the past 6 months. In a place where the there had been requests for increased security and it hadn’t been provided. On 9/11.

Personally, I don’t think ANY adminsitration can fully prevent all these terroist attacks. We stop alot of them with our intel sources, but the Cole bombing, WTC 1, WTC 2, embassy bombings, etc. all happened even with all the intel we have. I believe Obama, Bush, and Clinton all did the best they can to prevent them.

I don’t like being lied to. Period. Somebody made up some BS story about youtube video and fed it to us like we’re a bunch of idiots supposed to feel guilty for making an offensive video and deserving of the attack we got as a result. That person has no business being paid by American tax dollars and being in any position of influence in this nation.

Most Americans just aren’t that worked up over what happened in Benghazi. They’re much more concerned about jobs and the economy. Unfortunately Big Business is sitting on it’s profits and has yet to start hiring and producing more jobs. Politicans can’t tell Business what to do about hiring so, Republicans, desperate for anything they can find to hurt the Democrats, keep beating this dead Benghazi horse.

If i remember correctly , Americans were killed in those riots as well. And this was after a meeting with the president. Jones burned the Qurans anyway.

I’m just glad that Auburn didn’t let Alabama A&M send their seniors out with a frown. Alabama gets to have that honor now. We still owe Auburn for all that bragging for the 6 in a row. It’s one thing to win, but the grandiose bragging must be punished.

Most agree that money and location play a role in the disparities between Georgia schools. The AJC analysis specifically shows:

“The fabric of metro Atlanta’s economy is tightly interwoven with the fabric of rural Georgia’s economy,” said Jeff Humphreys, director of the University of Georgia’s Selig Center for Economic Growth. “If a thread comes loose in one corner of rural Georgia, it will eventually unravel in metro Atlanta.”

Good to know that the charter school amendment will fix that… if only that were the case. Once again, Georgia elects to do something that runs counter to what they actually need.
