Ten years ago, Karl Rove was being celebrated as — was celebrating himself as — the architect of what he called a permanent Republican majority.
Today, not so much.
In the 2012 cycle, Rove spent some $300 million of other people’s money and accomplished not a damn thing with it. These are not people who appreciate spending a lot of money and getting nothing in return. They were led to believe that their money would purchase politicians who would return their phone calls immediately. Even more important, they wanted their investment to instill a good healthy fear in those in Washington who otherwise might cross them.
Instead, they got U.S. Sen.-elect Elizabeth Warren.
Of course, the real Wizard of Oz moment came Election Night on Fox, when Rove performed his epic meltdown over the numbers coming out of Ohio. If that did not permanently damage his reputation more than the losses themselves, it certainly cemented it.
You see, a good political strategist has to be willing to listen dispassionately to what the data tell him. He does not yell angrily at that data, like a distraught husband refusing to believe that his wife just left him. In that moment, Rove exposed himself as the petty figure that he is.
As Dorothy Gale, D-Kansas, famously put it, “Why, you’re not a wizard at all, you’re just a man! And you’re a very bad man for pretending to be a wizard.”
And after that, as I recall, the defrocked wizard floated away in a balloon, unable to steer a new direction because “I don’t know how it works!”

An angry Big Business mogul is a Republican politicians worst nightmare. It’s now unclear whether these sociopathics will continue to keep Republicans funded or try to buy the Democrats. Either way, they WILL get a return on their investments. Money and power always win out in American politics.
In boardrooms across the country moguls are discussing and debating their next move. Keeping their bought and paid for lackeys in office is the number one topic. Finding some way to neturalize those pesky women, Latino and Black voters is going to be a real problem but, as always, money will win.

Karl Rove will have a tough time getting the money guys to call him back now. I think he is toast. Off-topic Alert. I cannot believe Deal and the GOP Clown Posse are even thinking about turning down 4 billion dollars of stimulus (Obamacare money) in Ga. to pass some idealogical litmus test. That money would help everyone.

This is what happens when you routinely deny facts and evidence, make up your own replacement facts and evidence, and feed the trolls through a national conservative effort in ALL the conservative media outlets.
CNN anchor CRYING on TV when Romney lost. Everyone else looking like they WANT to cry. CNN is CONSERVATIVE media.
And you guys of course have Fox, Drudge, and Rush, as well as all the other outlets that simply regurgitate what comes from the afroementioned three.
Conservatives: Learn when you’re listening to bullsh*t and seek out real information. Otherwise, your chosen ideologies and candidates are doomed.
Honestly I really hope you DON’T take my advice and continue down this path. Keep blaming Hurricane Sandy. No self reflection needed on your part. MoveOn.org… Nothing to see here….

The Hill reports:
Planned Parenthood’s political wing trounced other groups with a near perfect return on its election spending, according to a new numbers review.
The Sunlight Foundation found that Planned Parenthood’s advocacy arm and super-PAC spent about $5 million and $7 million, respectively, to oppose Republicans and support Democrats in the general election.
In the end, the two groups saw returns on investment of about 98 and 99 percent, according to Sunlight.

Elizabeth Warren gave her first press conference–my home state papers report. Like another *law professor* who could not maintain his license to practice and apparently knows little about the law, Warren deferred questions about national policy to her handler du jour Deval Patrick and referred to Obama as *the leader.* whose orders she will faithfully follow. Scott Brown is a moderate–a reasonable guy who worked his way up from a horrendous childhood and near poverty. Looks like MA voters tossed out the wheat and will try to live with the chaff. I kept hearing about the meltdown. I watched 15 minutes of Fox News, the most I’ve ever watched, and it didn’t seem like a meltdown to me. He was just saying it was too early to make the call. And shortly after the call, new numbers came in that put Romney ahead of Obama. We all know it was the right call, but the guy had a point. And he didn’t break down, he was just stating his case. He never said that Obama wouldn’t win, just questioned the timing. I thought Fox actually did a good job of calling swing states for Obama early and calling the race before some others. It had to be a bitter pill in some ways, but Obama has been great for their ratings, so maybe not.

I ventured to the dark side (Kyle’s blog) yesterday to see what he had to say about how the GOP needed to change. I challenged him on his points saying they sounded like just repackaging the same product and trying to sell it as something new. Much to my surprise he responded back to me saying I was right.
In the initial aftermath of the voting results, the GOP made a lot of hints about needing to find the error of their ways and making changes. But slowly they are coming back to where they were on Monday. I suspect this self-examination will be brief and will result in them re-affirming their positions with even more vigor.

My wife found something last evening that claimed that the Romney campaign’s internal polls were ‘unskewed’ a la Dean Chambers, the UnskewedPolls.com guy who has apologized for his Brobdingnagian level of innumeracy and stoopidness.
So if that’s true, then the bravado you were seeing from the Romney camp in the last few days of the campaign was *honest,* but misinformed. They *really did* believe that they were up in the swing states and that they were going to take 270+ EVs.
If Rove was also relying on those ‘unskewed’ poll numbers, then that could also help explain his befuddlement when FNC called OH for Obama.

” Republicans are trying, for the third time since he took office, to use economic blackmail to achieve a goal they lack the votes to achieve through the normal legislative process. In particular, they want to extend the Bush tax cuts for the wealthy, even though the nation can’t afford to make those tax cuts permanent and the public believes that taxes on the rich should go up — and they’re threatening to block any deal on anything else unless they get their way. So they are, in effect, threatening to tank the economy unless their demands are met” Krugman

As I’ve said – Things are rarely as good or as bad as they seem in the moment.
Rove (and many others) have some introspection to perform in light of the results. Frankly, it now appears that a lot of the money spent on advertising would have been better spent on the “hard work” of identifying your voters and the ground game to get them to the polls. As data continues to arrive, that -more than anything else- appears to be the advantage that the Obama campaign & Democrats held.

Exactly what do you think all that money printing and qe 1 thru 3 is? Its hidden inflation and what is hidden inflation? Its a tax on the economy to pay for the profligate spending. Who does that hidden tax affect the most? Yep. Poor and middle class people. When we discussed this the cons understood this. The libs either did not understand this or didn’t care. Do you mean the DJIA is down 435 points since President Obama’s RE-election?
Because according to math, 12,843 (11/10/12) is more than 8776 (12/31/08) and 12,843 minus 8776 is UP 4067 since President Obama’s FIRST election.

I was captured being the guest in a home Tuesday night, on a trip to the coast, by host who assumed I was one of them. I was forced to watch Fox that night to get any perception of what the election results were. I thought this must be what hell will be like, or that was my first impression as they kept turning the volume up thinking the louder the sound the more their chances of winning. And there on the desk was this little round man with an out of date haircut, Karl Rove, accompanied by a background of people kissing up to the right like they were working their grandmothers to get part of her will. God wanted me to witness this smelt down, I don’t even know the Fox channel number in Atlanta, yet here I was witnessing the full hot aired wind bag that has gotten Bush elected by a minority and then felt like the only blessed human on earth after 9/11 as his short bet on America finally paid off. The man who contributed to the outing of a CIA agent just because she dared tell the truth, and with our man Newt invented money as the third party in politics. Anti intellectuals who in a Charles Manson fashion willed their followers to the lock step of their greed and egomania sicknesses.
As I traveled 16 in South Georgia coming back on Wednesday, I still was stuck in this land of fake reality. Try finding a real radio station on that strip of road; it is like trying to find a cell phone signal. This right wing sickness grows in darkness like bacteria. I finally had to cut the radio off, I was losing my voice yelling at the speaker, farmers were waving at me acting like a nut, they thought I was one of their local politicians.

I don’t know of anybody who has said that this election was not PART of the problem. Where people go wrong is trying to insinuate that the election is THE reason. Europe’s issues and the tax increase/spending cut issue probably weigh much harder on the market now than simply re-electing Obama.
If anything, the Right should be giddy as hell about Obama being re-elected. Based on past performance, he’s rolled over like a well trained circus seal. On the other hand, when you’ve demonized the crap out of someone who’s trying to do good for the country, there’s no telling on how he’ll act once he realizes he doesn’t have to run for re-election again. So, in that vein, maybe Obama’s probably the Right’s worst nightmare becoming reality.

I am fed up with the tactic of “We do not know nor do we have any evidence if insert-name-here is consorting with the devil. But they might be. We are just asking the question because we do not know the answer and somebody needs to find out.” IMHO that is nothing more than slander and libel and should be treated as such. The excuse that it is part of the political process make me sick.

Speaker Boehner is on TV right now speaking in terms of not raising taxes on the most wealthy in the nation (the “small”? business owners as he calls them)and in terms of cutting so-called entitlements. I believe that Republicans have very strong ties to the most wealthy barons of industry in our nation and that they essentially do their bidding within Congress. Moreover, I believe that their entitlement cut plan is the Republican’s “Last Hurrah” for getting Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid fundamentally changed from “government” to “private-based” programs that would take away their safety-net status. The 2012 presidential election was the climax of their decades of effort in that direction, and they lost in that effort two days ago through the priorities and voices of the majority of the American people. Boehner’s efforts now is being made to gather whatever he (and they) can for their more Libertarian vision of American, inspired by the Koch Brothers, et al.
I suppose I should state again that I, too, believe that our deficit problems must be addressed both by spending cuts and raised taxes, but as Sen. Bernie Sanders has asserted, this should not be accomplished through not raising taxes on the most wealthy in our nation, while making the elderly, children, poor, sick, and middle/working class bear the brunt of their plan. It is a matter of balance, fairness, and constantly being aware of and highlighting the underlying intent and motivation of Republicans who are aligned with, and perhaps obligated to, the top 1% of wealth in America.
Have a good day, all.

Brosephus,
Never said I owned a business, I have worked for lots of folks who do own a business. If it were not for them, I wouldn’t have a job, and neither would you.
“You don’t PRODUCE jobs for people to work. Your customer base produces jobs.”
And how do you get a customer base if you don’t have a business? You can’t put the cart in front of the horse. Someone HAS to take a chance on opening a business BEFORE you have a business. Small business in this country is taking a HUGE hit in this economy. Most jobs are created by small business, someone who was willing to take a chance.

So Jay is saying that Rove is like the Wizard of Oz? That’s no good, because the Wizard actually did deliver. Rove to Romney: “So you say that you don’t have enough popular votes? That’s no obstacle. Why, I’ve elected presidents who had no more popular votes than you, but they had one thing that you don’t have: a supreme court willing to commit treason and actually perform a coup so that foreign influences could get us mired in decades long wars……So, by the authority vested in me by the military industrial complex, I hereby present you with the presidency, but you’ll have to invade the Islamist Munchkinland of Iran.”
And this isn’t the end of Karl Rove. If anything he’s going to be front and center two years from now when the entire house is taken over by the flying monkeys of conservatism. I’m a bit more cautious than you; I read the signs right in 2008 and pulled out of equities entirely before the crash; I ended the year with only about an 8.3% loss. But I was slow and cautious in riding the market back up, so I’ve missed several good opportunities that i really should have taken advantage of. Still, I’m nicely up and watching for the signs to back out before the correction. I guess I’m more about preserving my capital than about making the really big scores.

Taxpayer, I found myself in a conversation prior to the election with someone “who assumed I was one of them”. I mentioned I was not entirely sold on the Romney/GOP tax plan and could be more comfortable with it if he would get more specific on what would be eliminated and how that would offset the rate reductions. Did I get any kind of response that would indicate a back and forth negotiation of what would be good, bad, or other and how it could work? No. Instead I got a long winded rant about Kenyan-Marxist-socialist, not a citizen, Rev Wright, Greece, takers, & muslims. So you may be right in that I have no idea how to negotiate with the GOP. The truly sad thing is, all those “free” healthcare recipients are going to pay every dime of their $4,000/year healthcare policy in the form of price increases for milk, eggs, gasoline, bread, their happy meal, shoes, etc. and never realize they’re losing ground for it every day. Many of them will have their work weeks cut from 40 hours to 30 to get them under the “full time” limit and will still face those price increases. And there will be no pay raises to cover it.

Yeah, I don’t make financial decisions based on anonymous Intertoobz advice.
“or you can look at who’s unemployed in Greece and living with 3 generations of their family in Italy, Spain, etc.”
I’ve got friends in Europe. I’m aware of the situation, and it’s quite different from here. To be sure, we’re not out of the woods, but the Europeans aren’t approaching things in the same way as we are.
“In short, Joe, you can actually look at the history of what these same decisions have done in the countries who have already been down this road.”
I have. You pretty clearly haven’t, if you’re making a direct US-Europe comparison.
“Here’s a real life one for you. When I was in Scandanavia in the early 90’s, a Big Mac meal was over $8 there while it was under $3 here. At that price, how many Big Mac meals do you think the average section 8 recipient is going to be able to afford?”
You need to go back and look at Scandinavia *again* *right now,* because they are doing FAR BETTER than you seem to think. Maybe you think that operating on 20+ year old anecdotal data is smart, but I don’t.
“Hammered, Joe. Hammered.”

Romney didn’t lose because of Rove — he lost because God belongs in church, not the White House, ’cause evolution is real, women want a choice, old folks will continue to rely on social security & medicare, global warming is a self-inflicted serious threat, bankers have no business speculating with depositors’ money, and because House republicans have spent the last four years in a mindless, destructive agenda that has cost any hope of progress toward repairing the economy. And because extremists, by definition, are not a majority. Thank God.

The birther stuff was nonsense. It was as nonsensical as the idiots trying to say w never fulfilled his guard svc. Or people reporting “rumors” of cocaine but no actual witnesses or credible sources in a shameless smear attempt. I think the transcript requests are valid. Obama admitted in his bio that he drifted aimlessly through high school in a haze of alcohol and drugs. His words. So how did he then get into a good school like occidental? And then Harvard? Did he fraudently get in our get help by dishonestly applying as a Kenyan? Was he a subpar student who only got in due to affirmative action? Is Josef a wingnut? Because Josef wanted to see his transcripts to see what he studied, why he studied those subjects, and his grades. I think its fair to ask to see his transcripts for all these reasons.

I haven’t called anybody a wingnut over the transcript issue. I just don’t see how or why they have any bearing on a presidential election. We don’t pick our presidents based on their college majors or grades. When we begin to do that, then that question is a valid one.

That’s not quite accurate. They may not have a majority in the Senate, but that body’s filibuster rules still give them power there.
I’m really curious to see if Harry Reid really DOES push to change that rule as he said he would.
As of 11/7: “I do” have plans to change the Senate rules, he added. “I have said so publicly and I continue to feel that way … I think the rules have been abused, and we are going to work to change them. We will not do away with the filibuster, but we will make the senate a more meaningful place. We are going to make it so we can get things done.”

Your time could be much better spent doing what you love: administering social justice to those undeserving ingrates in our country (”the rich”).
But I do see progress in your efforts to kill off fossil fuel. From wapo:
“For the chairman and chief executive of Murray Energy, an Ohio-based coal company, the reelection of President Obama was no cause for celebration. It was a time for prayer – and layoffs. Robert E. Murray read a prayer to a group of company staff members on the day after the election, lamenting the direction of the country and asking: “Lord, please forgive me and anyone with me in Murray Energy Corp. for the decisions that we are now forced to make to preserve the very existence of any of the enterprises that you have helped us build.” ”
You get extra credit for that one. Not only is Murray a rich guy, he’s a Christian! He deserves a double dose of misery. His employees are just collateral damage.

As if I wasn’t clear earlier, NO I don’t think asking for college transcrips are valid. Who we are between the ages of 18 and 22 do not necessarly show who we are at the age of 35 or 40. We don’t elect our politicians based on grades or degrees, so why should it matter? There is no Constitutional requirement for it, so that doesn’t matter to me.
I don’t care who asks about who, whether it’s liberal, conservative, or Willy Wonka. Hopefully, that will help clear up my position on transcripts/grades. They are about as useful as a football bat in my opinion.

The company was the subject of an article in the New Republic that said the company had forced miners to attend a Romney campaign speech in southeastern Ohio in August. Murray denied the account. The New Republic also reported that Murray Energy employees have given more than $1.4 million to Republican candidates for federal office since 2007.
Murray has also been a target of environmentalists. Notably, the company has spilled coal slurry into a creek on seven different occasions.

How many here would be willing to publish their tax returns?
If and when I decide to run for office, I’ll put them all out on display. I have nothing to hide, and not much money to show for it. As a federal employee, I have to undergo periodic background investigations. That includes checking my finances. They have never, ever asked for college transcripts as part of that investigation. They do, however, check to ensure I am paying my taxes as required and not trying to cheat Uncle Sam.
Last time I checked, the president was a federal employee receiving a check from the taxpayers.

Brosephus @ 1:26; totally agree.
Given that a candidate’s college transcripts are likely to be 20-40 years old (or even older) and that a candidate’s taxes start *last year* and go back however far the candidate releases them, yeah, there’s a huge difference.
Someone who was a Richard in college might well have straightened up and flown right since then. And someone who was a shining star in college could have a tax file full of liens and penalties.

Hey Jay, read this and …
It is now projected that 88% of ALL American families will pay an additional $3,500.00 per year Jan 1!
————————————–
You do know that that “tax increase” would be the expiration of Obama’s and Republican’s extension of the Bush tax cuts, agreed to in the 2010 agreed to by both parties in the 2010 budget agreement? The increase would only be triggered if Dems and Repubs can’t avoid the so-called “fiscal cliff” and it certainly doesn’t represent what the average family would owe – only the average increase per family. People with a great deal of income from dividends would feel a bigger bite than most. Republicans don’t want to increase taxes and Democrats will fight to keep this tax increase from hitting the middle class, as it would hurt economic growth. Of course, to those of you who believe Obama’s plan is to wreck the economy and bring in socialism, I wouldn’t expect you to believe this.

“The operator of the Utah mine that collapsed in 2007, killing nine people, has reached a $1.1 million settlement with the federal Mine Safety and Health Administration over safety violations.
Genwal, an affiliate of Ohio-based Murray Energy Corp., denied Thursday that any of the violations led to the deadly collapse, which leveled a section of the Crandall Canyon mine as large as 63 football fields. From the start, Murray Energy chief Bob Murray insisted that the cave-in was triggered by a natural earthquake.”

Well, a buddy that had been in the Marines sent me this old Craigs List ad he found. It was so good as a example of what to do with a crook I just had to pass it on. I hope you enjoy it and I know all the ex-Marines on here will:
To the Guy Who Tried to Mug Me in Downtown Savannah night before last.
Date: 2010-09-27, 1:43 am. E.S.T.
I was the guy wearing the black Burberry jacket that you demanded that I hand over, shortly after you pulled the knife on me and my girlfriend, threatening our lives. You also asked for my girlfriend’s purse and earrings. I can only hope that you somehow come across this rather important message.
First, I’d like to apologize for your embarrassment; I didn’t expect you to actually crap in your pants when I drew my pistol after you took my jacket.. The evening was not that cold, and I was wearing the jacket for a reason.. My girlfriend was happy that I just returned safely from my 2nd tour as a Combat Marine in Afghanistan .. She had just bought me that Kimber Custom Model 1911 .45 ACP pistol for my birthday, and we had picked up a shoulder holster for it that very evening. Obviously you agree that it is a very intimidating weapon when pointed at your head … Isn’t it?!
I know it probably wasn’t fun walking back to wherever you’d come from with crap in your pants. I’m sure it was even worse walking bare-footed since I made you leave your shoes, cell phone, and wallet with me. [That prevented you from calling or running to your buddies to come help mug us again].
After I called your mother or “Momma” as you had her listed in your cell, I explained the entire episode of what you’d done. Then I went and filled up my gas tank as well as those of four other people in the gas station, — on your credit card. The guy with the big motor home took 153 gallons and was extremely grateful!
I gave your shoes to a homeless guy outside Vinnie Van Go Go’s, along with all the cash in your wallet. [That made his day!]
I then threw your wallet into the big pink “pimp mobile” that was parked at the curb ….. After I broke the windshield and side window and keyed the entire driver’s side of the car.
Earlier, I managed to get in two threatening phone calls to the DA’s office and one to the FBI, while mentioning President Obama as my possible target.
The FBI guy seemed really intense and we had a nice long chat (I guess while he traced your number etc.).
;In a way, perhaps I should apologize for not killing you … But I feel this type of retribution is a far more appropriate punishment for your threatened crime. I wish you well as you try to sort through some of these rather immediate pressing issues, and can only hope that you have the opportunity to reflect upon, and perhaps reconsider, the career path you’ve chosen to pursue in life.. Remember, next time you might not be so lucky. Have a good day!
Thoughtfully yours, Semper Fi,
Alan

No it isn’t and you know that. In fact, Democrats are more personally responsible and govern more responsibly, as shown by multiple blue states that give more in federal tax dollars than they take, while red states do the opposite, and as shown by Clinton balancing the budget and Obama reducing the year by year deficit too, from its initial FY2009 budget that was signed into law by the President in 2008 of $1.4T to $1.1T today.

We’ll see if Mitch McConnell and the rest of the do-nothing Republican Congress’ previous way of compromise,”My primary legislative goal is to make sure that Obama is a one-term President”, gives way to a more adult legislative approach. I sort of doubt it though…

Democrats aren’t constructive, are they? Should we have said that Mr. Axelrod needed to jump in a lake after the 2010 shellacking? By your standards we should have.
And why bring up poor Mr. Rove? He’s not elected, he’s only a consultant.

Okay, I guess it’s time we admit it. We did steal the election. It’s not the voter ID thing. We defrauded uncle sam with the breast milk baby doll. It’s new, from hasbro, or is it galoob, anyway it’s a real baby doll toy that makes suckling noises, really loud, when a child holds the baby’s mouth to a halter top that the child wears so that a sensor in the halter falls over where the child’s nipple would be. Now get this: the sensor on the halter is in the form of a pastie, like a stripper would wear. It’s a flower shape. Honest. Not making this up so that I get the honor of being banned, or nuthin. Well, it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see how that one toy, in the wrong hands, ruined Mitt Romney’s surefire win, and why Rove didn’t see the voter fraud coming and thus could do nothing to stop us liberals, being of diseased minds and all. Remember, a slip of the lip can sink a ship of state…….

On a somewhat lighter note: Thank you, President Obama, for appointing this lady to the SCOTUS. She’s a keeper.
Supreme Court Justice Justice Sonia Sotomayor offered some real talk to to Sesame Street character Abby about princesses and careers.
Sotomayor explained that a “career is something that you train for and prepare for and plan on doing for a long time,” but when Abby says she wants to be a princess, Sotomayor shut that down pretty quickly.
“Abby, pretending to be a princess is fun, but it is definitely not a career,” Sotomayor said.

I seem to recall that Petraeus’ father-in-law was some high muckety-muck general himself, but I don’t recall the specifics.
Just FWIW, there used to be (still might be) a ‘cheating culture’ in the military. Before my first overseas deployment, the old lifer sergeants explained the concept of ‘what happens in Korea stays in Korea.’ Petraeus was commissioned back in the 70s, so he likely came up the officer ranks in the same climate.
It’s certainly possible that Petraeus just figured he could get away with cheating on his wife.

Bob: Oh and road rage has increased this week in Cobb, I’m a better Christian than you, county.
Yep — its mighty scary out here these days! Earlier today, UsinUK posted a link to this article by Eric Dondero that’s a hoot! You can find it here:
http://nymag.com/daily/intel/2012/11/eric-dondero-boycott-democrat-libertarian.html
Basically he said: All family and friends, even close family and friends, who I know to be Democrats are hereby dead to me. I vow never to speak to them again for the rest of my life, or have any communications with them. They are in short, the enemies of liberty. They deserve nothing less than hatred and utter contempt.
I strongly urge all other libertarians to do the same. Are you married to someone who voted for Obama, have a girlfriend who voted ‘O’. Divorce them. Break up with them without haste. Vow not to attend family functions, Thanksgiving dinner or Christmas for example, if there will be any family members in attendance who are Democrats.
Do you work for someone who voted for Obama? Quit your job. Co-workers who voted for Obama. Simply don’t talk to them in the workplace, unless your boss instructs you too for work-related only purposes. Have clients who voted Democrat? Call them up this morning and tell them to take their business elsewhere.

The bankruptcy of the U.S. Government is now all but certain.

By 2014 Obama will bail out the city of Chicago & State of Illinois

By 2024 Gold will be $20,000 an ounce
By 2028 the U.S. Economy will be the 3rd or 4th largest in the world
By 2030 – the U.S. Dollar will be worthless

As excited as I was about the outcome of the election. I think I was just as excited to see the melt-down, and collapse of one of the most evil political tricksters since Lee Atwater suffered and died an agonizingly painful death crying out for forgiveness for all the evil he perpetrated and the reputations he had destroyed.
And, Karl Rove worked his evil even on contenders within his own party spawning the notion that John McCain had a black baby. Of course, he couldn’t use that one against Obama, but he produced and aired some of the most dispicable political ads I’ve seen,
He may have to get a real job now, but unfortunately, about the only thing he’s qualified to do with his dastardly credentials is to run for Congress.
I’ll never forget how my heart raced as I watched hundreds of millions of dollars given by the gazillionaires to buy the Oval Office, circling and finally being swallowed by the toilet.

It’s really pathetic, if it wasn’t so funny. Romney wrote off 47% as unproductive and lazy. A Congressman said today that those who voted for Obama were “ignorant” and a Tea Party spokesman from Texas said those who voted for Obama were “maggots.”
I call those who voted for Obama “winners!”
And, those who wrote off the 47% and lapeled those who voted for Obama “ignorant” and “maggots” — well, I call them poor LOSERS!
I keep playing the track over and over in my mind: hundreds of millions of dollars given by gazillionaires to buy the Oval Office circling and circling and circling and finally be swallowed up by the toilet. Then, I see Karl Rove with a caught in the headlights look on his face as he sees the numbers coming in — already worried about what he was going to tell the gazillionaire who gave him well over $300 million to buy the Oval Office and all they ended up with is a fairy-tale excuse by the master of spin and deceit.
I just doesn’t get any better than that!

And you think they will handily FORGET the thrust of business in the last decades to THROW OVER the mandate they themselves took on (when hiring was better for the worker), to pick up the healthcare costs themselves?
Funny, NOW the DESIRED “norm” is that the worker pays… And that is also the preferred avenue for revenge, for votes that business doesn’t like, it seems…
