from downstairs –
as I said to my friends in the Great Mural Poutrage – I’m one of those people who think that people should be able to wear Mitt t-shirts to the polling place if they want to – and this is a school. Obama (like Washington and Jefferson before him) is the president, so I have no problem with the mural.
I mean, really – do people honestly think that it will change people’s minds??? (”you know, I WAS going to vote for Mitt … but that is a fine looking mural … “)

A Pennsylvania electronic voting machine has been taken out of service after being captured on video changing a vote for President Obama into one for Mitt Romney, NBC News has confirmed.
I am sure this was the fault of the New BPP.
Perhaps if PA has spent more time checking their software…. or maybe they did? I mean, if anything I have learned from this blog that no evidence is needed to claim that Mitt has conspired to steal the election. Has he send in the choppers from Italy?

Typical liberal way of doing things:
In Philadelphia school voters are greeted by a giant mural of Obama with a quote about hope and change right behind the voting booths. This is illegal. But doees anyone report it….like here…Of course not.
Can’t win by playing by the rules….so just break them. Typical secular/relativistic society logic.

Trending for Romney…….Heavy. CNN poll yesterday said their internals showed 5% of Dems voting Mitt while 99% of GOP voting Mitt. The poll was 49-49 with a 11%+ Dem favor. and 59-34 independents going Mitt…..If this is true,….Good Morning President Romney sir. And it was CNN, not Fox.

Two observations:
1. The first black President WAS re-elected…in 1996.
2. Much as I hate to say it, we probably WILL hear about lawsuits, not election results, come tomorrow morning. Here’s a good start:
http://www.politico.com/blogs/under-the-radar/2012/11/judge-sets-hearing-in-ohio-provisional-votes-fight-148512.html?hp=l13
My guess is one candidate will have a bit over 260 electoral votes, the other a bit over 250 electoral votes. I won’t guess which is which. Whoever wins the lawsuit, and then Ohio, wins the election. This brings to mind something I read during the hubbub surrounding the election 12 years ago. Replace November 8th with November 6th and 2005 with 2017, and it should make a little more sense: http://politicalhumor.about.com/library/blrevocation.htm

All you arrogant strong minded Democrats need to be reminded, us Republicans are very weak. When we have to go outside our Fox News bunkers at home we become very delicate. It amazes me how Democrats preach compassion then become so downright mean.

And if Election Day ever happens to come *before* the fall time change, Hawaiian polls wouldn’t close before *midnight* ET, as Hawaii doesn’t go on DST.

Kyle’s got some issues with alternative power. He told me once that solar wasn’t a viable source of power for GA, so in his opinion, we should drop it. I then pointed out that when you compare power from solar to power from hydro in Georgia, solar’s only one percent behind hydro and did he want to do away with hydropower in GA, as well?
He didn’t respond. Frankly, I think Kyle falls into the conservative trap of thinking that all or most of our energy *must* come from a single source or from a very small number of sources, and that unless you can replace one or more sources outright, your solution is useless.

It seems Romney will lose because of the “conservative” talking heads.
First those talking heads labeled Romney a flip-flopper, which made Romney shift too much to the right.
Now the talking heads are saying Romney leads in Ohio, Wisconsin, Virginia etc. Well, since Romney leads, Romney supporters don’t bother to go out to vote with great enthusiasm.
Obama has the “conservative” talking heads to thank with tonight’s win.

I’m willing to bet that if one of those “voting inspectors” got in your face, you’d ask him to leave, too.
Voting inspectors aren’t permitted to *interfere* with the voting process. If they do, poll workers are empowered to kick them out. If inspectors notice or suspect irregularities, they can call it to a poll worker’s attention, but they don’t have any authority to prevent someone from voting or to direct a poll worker to do anything.
In other words, they’re kind of like Black Panthers.

The most dishonest president in history, and the most dishonest political party in history, populated by the most dishonest people in history show by their actions and the actions of their elected officials why Democrats cannot be trusted to have honest elections.. The above is an indictment of the Democrat party by their own actions which proves beyond the shadow of doubt the dishonesty which permeates their party. The actions above were approved of and promoted by president Barack Obama and Eric Holder when they dropped the chages of voter fraud in Philadelphia and blocked further investigation of the fraud after the last election. It is clear they have no character, no conscious, and no morality with which to guide them. This is just one more example of the fraud that the media refuses to acknowledge and covers up..

This election has generated less excitement in my neck of the woods than the TPLOST thingy back in July. Somebody is going to be eating crow tomorrow.

Something Chrysler is not doing: shifting Jeep production and jobs to China. Something Chrysler is doing: giving workers the day off to vote. The auto manufacturer’s vice president of design tweets:
Chrysler gave its entire work force the day off to Vote Today! Let’s go! #America
— @RalphGilles via Twitter for iPhone A week ago, Chrysler CEO Sergio Marchionne sent employees an email saying that because of the “public debate” over the Jeep jobs (i.e. because of Romney’s lies), “I feel obliged to unambiguously restate our position” that Chrysler is not only not moving jobs to China but expanding its American workforce. And now all those Ohio and Michigan workers have the day off to vote.

Apparently he wants to make sure those Democrat-voting so-and-so’s don’t vote five or six times apiece, as his “news” sources have been telling him we do.
It’s an honorable endeavor to be a poll wather and ensure the fairness of our system, but there are rules and laws that must be followed. Not everybody got the memo that angry old white guys are not excepted from these rules and laws. Bless his crusty lil’ ol’ heart.

Bronco,
Of course! Threatening people wtih violence and demanding they leave their rightful place in this process is inexcusably bad behavior no matter who’s doing it. Since this surely happened in front of witnesses, I hope the offending party is called out for this behavior. That should be easy since: (1) there’d have to be dozens of witnesses, and (2) a poll watcher doing his job correctly would in NO way draw attention to himself or what he was doing, so the threatening behavior would be alarming to anyone who saw it. FYI: the ladies in the S. Fulton precinct were advised to call the police and report the loiterer. No word yet, but I hope there were no more unpleasant confrontations. Mature adults are above that nonsense.
Election Day Lame Joke #1

Finally, one says to the other: “Look, it’s clear that we are unalterably opposed on every political issue. Our votes will surely cancel out. Why not save ourselves some time and both agree to not vote today?”
The other agrees enthusiastically and they part.
Shortly after that, a friend of the first one who had heard the conversation says, “That was a sporting offer you made.”
“Not really,“ says the second. “This is the third time I’ve done this today“.

This morning, a legally credentialed poll watcher was threatened and intimidated while attempting to perform his legally allowed duties of observing the election process at precinct polling location 289 in Detroit. The poll watcher, a lawyer, was confronted by a voter in line, who demanded the poll watcher produce his credentials, which he did.
However, the voter said that wasn’t good enough and that he had “a badge and a gun” and told the poll watcher get out of the precinct. Rather than allow the situation to escalate, the poll watcher left before the voter produced a badge or brandished a gun. Fearing for his safety, the poll watcher exited and called 911, however the Detroit Police refused to respond to the call – neglecting the fact that a voter alleged to have a ‘badge’ and a ‘gun’ in a precinct, putting other voters at risk.

Or maybe your friend can upload a video of it for our viewing pleasure…
Thanks for the update. If you can get to your friend’s precinct, maybe you can watch the guy argue with the police.
Maybe the police can charge him with a felony, and he can lose HIS right to vote. Anybody besides me for poetic justice?

DECKER: Obama: Snuffing out religious freedom
Under the Democrats’ mismanagement, the United States is staring down a fiscal catastrophe. That’s not the only crisis the nation faces, however. Freedom of religion is under threat as the Obama administration tries to force faith underground.

Clinton — “Who wants a dishonest president?”
Former President Bill Clinton branded GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney a serial liar at a Philadelphia campaign event yesterday, criticizing Romney’s ad that misleadingly implied Chrysler was shifting Jeep production to China.
“When I was a kid, if I got my hand caught in the cookie jar, where it wasn’t supposed to be, I turned red in my face, and I took my hand out of the cookie jar,” explained Clinton. “You’ve got to give it to Governor Romney. When he gets his hand caught in the cookie jar, he just digs down for more cookies.”

I agree with you that it should be covered or taken down, whichever one’s the quickest and most effective fix (though it appears to be painted directly on the wall from what I can see).
That said, I really don’t think that the entire election’s going to be affected by that one inadvertent violation. And clearly, nobody’s *defending* the mural being there. It seems to me that someone, either in ths school or in the county board of elections, screwed up and simply didn’t take care of it before Election Day.
Fix it and move on. Simple.

Morality — “Romney’s tax records have been under the Obama run IRS for months…. clean as a whistle”
Sorry, no evidence of that.
The operating assumption earlier this year was that Romney was one of the folks who UBS (Union Bank of Switzerland) dimed out to the IRS for hiding assets. The IRS made a blanket offer of amnesty to people who were thusly dimed out; many accepted the offer and came clean (and paid back taxes and penalties), while others refused and are fighting the IRS.
Had Romney been one of those people and had he accepted the amnesty offer, the IRS would have no reason to prosecute him if he abided by the consent agreement. But despite his agreement and compliance, he would definitely *not* have been “clean” as you suggest.
There’s no concrete evidence that the above is the case, but given Romney’s repeated refusal to release his tax records prior to 2010 (the penalties and settlement would have been reflected in his restated 2009 tax returns), it’s a plausible possibility.
Once again, the above is all speculation; I have no evidence to support it. That said, just because the IRS hasn’t prosecuted Romney, that doesn’t mean his taxes are clean. FWIW, the IRS would *rather* come to an agreement with you and no prosecute. Frankly, the IRS generally only prosecutes egregious and obstinate cases.

Don’t think so. being as this election is neck and neck according to the pundits / Obama’s mole in the Fed gub’ment run IRS would have already slipped the info to Obama’s handlers during the early election time and it would be all over the news for sure. If they had any EVIDENCE which obviously they don’ t we would have had an October surprise. Speculation is speculation – they have NOTHING and I guarantee Obama has had his IRS mole check every detail. I an not going to speculate on Obama’s lack of a birth certificate. If there was any evidence that he is not a born in the USA citizen he would not be running for reelection ore even election the 1st time. Speculation doesn’t mean that it can’t be true but it means you have NO evidence.

Well, we only stood outside in the rain about 15 minutes this morning. The school where we voted changed everything around. The place where we use to fill out the form and get the little doo-hickey for the voting machine is now a theater stage area. That left only the place where we use to wait for voting to hold the tables for the forms and the machines. Since the students were in class we couldn’t come inside and line the hallways. That rain sure was cold. Talk about voter suppression! This was voter soaking! Great planning by the crack election team.
I was kinda suprized at how short the ballot was. I only needed a minute or so to mark mine. There was only a couple amenments and not many races at all. After I put a X in the Obama-Biden square to strike them out and make sure Romney-Ryan had clear sailing, I was finished in a few seconds. I don’t give a hang who’s elected to be county surveyor and such.
Anyhow, I was real glad to see that Bill Orvis White was up in Ohio keeping a eye on the voting there. That probly means we’ll be waiting a week or so to learn how Ohio voted. I never saw no Black Panthers with billy clubs where I voted, so I guess we were pretty lucky. Those two old women that checked my drivers liscence were enough to keep things on the up and up.
