RB — “Thanks, Joe. The Obama picture on the billboard has a hitler ’stache on it, so the german was implied. Thought everybody had seen that on the news. Guess you didn’t get the “Dean Wormer” one from earlier either, did you?”
I got it just fine. I simply didn’t comment on your tale, RB. Given our past exchanges, I’d think that you *prefer* it when I don’t respond to you, so make up your mind.
FWIW, Animal House was filmed at my wife’s alma mater; I know the movie quite well.
Common Sense isn't very Common

We will over come the hateful biggoted, racist Democrats and win this election by being moral, honest, and legal while singing goom by ya. Then when we are back in power we will prosectute every one of the S.O.B.’s that tried to steal this election and make sure they go back to jail with their friends.

Still whining huh?
November 6th, 20122:12 pm
Conservatives have nothing to worry about tonight. Rush Limbaugh, the grandfather of all conservatives said loud and cleay: Romney is winning.
I mean if Limbaugh said so, it must be true. Limbaugh never lie, as conservatives can tell everybody.
have you already started drinking jm’s rum punch
Common Sense — “JHM Was Dean Wormer there when she was”
The movie was made a little before her time. However, the DTX house has long since been demolished.

This is just too good. I can’t believe this isn’t a troll. Did someone namejack Righty?

Someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed today! RIghty, maybe a nice nap would help…
It going to be Romney by a landslide!
stands for decibels
November 6th, 20122:15 pm
Trying to watch and listen to the video, but I’m afraid that Kyle is just too gosh-darned effeminate to prognosticate.
November 6th, 20122:16 pm
What another video?
“It going to be Romney by a landslide!”
My people have a saying: “Whatever you have to tell yourself to get through the day…”
Enjoy it while it lasts!
I heard that Mitt Romney released more tax records about an hour ago! And, I also heard on CNN that Obama has PROOF he was born in America! AND, I heard that Donald’s hair is actually real, he just styles it that way!

williebkind — “Its amazing how atheists keeping talking about God!”
C. S. Lewis wrote about a talking lion named Aslan. That doesn’t mean there ever actually *was* a talking lion named Aslan.
Look up “fiction” in the dictionary. Read. Repeat.
williebkind, try to understand how “god” can be a useful concept, even to those whose religious beliefs don’t match yours. That would display the religious tolerance our forefathers fought and died for.
I’m not tring to call you out, I’m just saying…
November 6th, 20122:28 pm
No line and took 5 minutes.
getalife- Liars and cheaters still lose in our country.
I never thought you would turn on obama like that. There might be hope for you after all.
November 6th, 20122:30 pm
Romney is not an atheist, he is a Mormon. Mormonism started in 1823 by Joseph Smith, who said an angel directed him to a buried book written on golden plates containing the religious history of an ancient people. That was very similar to Mohammod regarding angel and messages.
“C. S. Lewis wrote about a talking lion named Aslan. That doesn’t mean there ever actually *was* a talking lion named Aslan.”
Was there actually a C. S. Lewis or an atheist called C. S. Lewis?
“I never thought you would turn on obama like that. There might be hope for you after all”
But JKL2, so far Obama is trouncing Romney in the popular vote, by a ratio of two to one!!!
O – 28
R – 14
J – 1

“williebkind, try to understand how “god” can be a useful concept, even to those whose religious beliefs don’t match yours.”
Are you admitting that Atheism is a religion to some people?
November 6th, 20122:34 pm
Why do atheists keep talking about G-d? Well, they do yap a lot about things they don’t know…BTW the same can be said for a lot of so-called believers. Can’t neither one prove their position. Matter of faith on both counts.
Anybody know where I can get a pair of Magic Underwear, size Large? I need to look my best for our new Elder Leader! All Hail Kolob!

Chrysler Gives Workers the Day off to Vote
Something Chrysler is not doing: shifting Jeep production and jobs to China. Something Chrysler is doing: giving workers the day off to vote. The auto manufacturer’s vice president of design tweets:
Chrysler gave its entire work force the day off to Vote Today! Let’s go! #America
— @RalphGilles via Twitter for iPhone A week ago, Chrysler CEO Sergio Marchionne sent employees an email saying that because of the “public debate” over the Jeep jobs (i.e. because of Romney’s lies), “I feel obliged to unambiguously restate our position” that Chrysler is not only not moving jobs to China but expanding its American workforce. And now all those Ohio and Michigan workers have the day off to vote.
It’s nice to watch a lie biting Mitt Romney in the ass in real time, isn’t it?
“Are you admitting that Atheism is a religion to some people?”
Willie, interesting question. What is you definition of “religion”?
November 6th, 20122:35 pm
Get your religion out of my politics.
They don’t mix well.
November 6th, 20122:36 pm
You bet it is…got their own fire and brimstone contingent of tent revivalists certain of their patent on the truth and anybody who doesn’t accept their “faith” be d*mned…
I hear say Jesus is coming back. He’ll be in Independence, Missouri, if’n y’all need a’healin’ after this electoral thumpin’ you about to get.
November 6th, 20122:37 pm
If Romney loses Ohio, the proximate cause will probably be the lying “Jeep” ads he ran – by running those ads, he was kind of calling Ohio voters “stupid”. Not the best move to get people’s vote.
Yep. And vice versa, for the same reason…
williebkind — “Was there actually a C. S. Lewis or an atheist called C. S. Lewis?”
Since Aslan was a metaphor for Jesus, I’m pretty sure Lewis wasn’t an atheist.
Dems take the early lead.
Early voting move worked.
I think Plouffe and Axelrod did it again.

tundra dude- Anyone here planning on jumping off a cliff or slitting their wrists or leaving the country if the Wrong guy wins….??
Republicans have too much common sense and Demwits never follow thru on anything.
Hey there Jaybo…any comment on a Philadelphia judge having to order the GOP certified voting observers to be allowed back into Philly precincts….is that another made up story or is simply nothing to be concerned about as it is on the left…unbelievable..
November 6th, 20122:39 pm
How did Evangelicals let themselves vote for a Mormon in the first place? I don’t necessarily have anything against them, but THEY sure did before this past summer. Odd bedfellows, indeedy.
“I hear say Jesus is coming back”
And I heard this: The Pope called Bill Graham and said “I have good news and bad news” Bill said “What’s the good news?”
“Jesus is back!”
“What’s the bad news?”
“He’s in Salt Lake City”
November 6th, 20122:40 pm
“Republicans have too much common sense”
I SEE RED PEOPLE
I took an hour off for lunch and voting. Had enough time to grab a burger, vote for the incumbent, and to produce a rudimentary pencil sketch of Obama, which I proudly hung on the bulletin board in the church entrance.
November 6th, 20122:41 pm
I’m glad the judge intervened quickly to set matters straight, Get Real, and I’m also glad to see that Philly mural of Obama covered up, as it should have been from the beginning. The system seems to be working as it should.
Seriously, if these are the biggest voting issues at the end of the day, we’ll have done quite well.
Williebkind — “Are you admitting that Atheism is a religion to some people?”
Chief Justice Rehnquist said that it was, and that it deserved the same protections as any religion.

Bush was a “demwit”?
“”I don’t care, dead or alive — either way,” Bush said. “It doesn’t matter to me.”
Keep Up the Good Fight!
November 6th, 20122:44 pm
GetReal failed to comment on the confirmation of a voting machine changing Obama votes to Romney….is this more of nothing to be concerned about on the left right
November 6th, 20122:45 pm
Listening to the whining here, I’d probably scare the crap out of some of the posters here if they knew they were voting next to an armed Black man.
November 6th, 20122:46 pm
Bro – just out of curiosity, do you have to tell the poll workers you’re armed?
Corbin Sharpe. I think, therefore I am...I think.

You are definitely a wise man, so why the hell do you hang out here? Ha ha.
OMG….Brosephus must be vote intimidating…….
November 6th, 20122:48 pm
How did all the Republican absentee voters present their picture ID cards? Just curious.
November 6th, 20122:49 pm
“Chief Justice Rehnquist said that it was, and that it deserved the same protections as any religion.”
So now you cannot force your religious beliefs on me! Here is my cross!
I don’t know if it’s a “big” voting issue, but my peeps tell me there’s an angry old white man stomping around a South Fulton precinct in a self-appointment poll-watcher’s role (uh… you have to have training and permission to do that, btw), bossing people around and getting ugly with the elderly black ladies working there. Apparently he wants to make sure those Democrat-voting so-and-so’s don’t vote five or six times apiece, as his “news” sources have been telling him we do.
It’s an honorable endeavor to be a poll wather and ensure the fairness of our system, but there are rules and laws that must be followed. Not everybody got the memo that angry old white guys are not excepted from these rules and laws. Bless his crusty lil’ ol’ heart.
Keepie, have not heard that..if true then clearly that is way wrong as well…
November 6th, 20122:50 pm
Has Hannity been arrested yet for violating law by tweeting a photo of his ballot after completing it or is this also something Get Real is not concerned about because he’s on the right?
“How did all the Republican absentee voters present their picture ID cards? Just curious.”
Well, Republicans are more patriotic according to themselves, so they don’t need no ID to show anybody.
“Listening to the whining here, I’d probably scare the crap out of some of the posters here if they knew they were voting next to an armed Black man.:
November 6th, 20122:51 pm
Not really. The poll workers in my precinct know me and what I do. There are some places where I’ll give them courtesy notice out of respect for their establishment, but my authorization is 24/7 and pretty much any place.
In all truthfulness, I usually carry most everywhere I go now because of the people I’ve come in contact with on the job over the years. It doesn’t really take long to end up across the desk from people with pretty dangerous connections.
Exit polls show Obama wiht a big early lead. Pollsters attribute the lead to heavy voter turnout in the Middle East.
November 6th, 2012
Are you equally disturbed by this?
November 6th, 20122:52 pm
Get, you mean Fox has not show it yet? Cause NBC has shown the video and I posted about it on this blog and the prior blog? Hmmmm…. and yet you are not informed?
I am shocked!
November 6th, 20122:53 pm
November 6th, 20122:55 pm
Did your peeps say whether an actual poll worker/police officer/sheriff’s deputy was notified about the angry old white man?
Keepie….I was reading the article in the AJC which is why I commented, nothing mentioned about Hannity…WTF do you do all day?
November 6th, 20122:56 pm
The sharpness of Jay’s image in this video (the last one too) is a metaphor of his blog logic.
williebkind — “So now you cannot force your religious beliefs on me! Here is my cross!”
Right back at you! (swipes cross, dunks in jar)
November 6th, 20122:57 pm
I love hearing stories how 99yrs old black women are led to the polls to vote for the first time in their lives. And it always is a liberal democrat who can find these non participating citizens and bring them to the light. It is very funny but sad that someone who claims to freedom never casted a vote in an entire century.
November 6th, 20122:58 pm

Pulls cross out jar and sticks in your love spot.
November 6th, 20122:59 pm
B. Bahma — “Are you equally disturbed by this?”
Clearly, GOP pollwatchers need to actually *be* badazzes, instead of just *imagining* that they are.
November 6th, 20123:00 pm
No problem. Most times, I generally keep quiet unless there’s signage posted. Some places will treat you differently if they know you’re law enforcement and armed. The easiest way to blend into the crowd is to be treated the same as everyone else.
November 6th, 20123:01 pm
williebkind — “Pulls cross out jar and sticks in your love spot.”
This dirty old man tried to TOUCH me. Plus, he’s trying to suppress my religious beliefs. Lock him up, please.

UPDATED – Snark tag added by someone else, and I got fooled. I was on Josh marshall’s site, and there were these “links you might be interested in” at the bottom of the page, with this story one of them. I hadn’t checked out the main page, but the story was VERY well written

“never casted a vote in an entire century.”
If she’s 99, she hasn’t been eligible that long.
Unless…you’re not advocating illegal voting are you?
Of course! Threatening people wtih violence and demanding they leave their rightful place in this process is inexcusably bad behavior no matter who’s doing it. Since this surely happened in front of witnesses, I hope the offending party is called out for this behavior. That should be easy since: (1) there’d have to be dozens of witnesses, and (2) a poll watcher doing his job correctly would in NO way draw attention to himself or what he was doing, so the threatening behavior would be alarming to anyone who saw it. FYI: the ladies in the S. Fulton precinct were advised to call the police and report the loiterer. No word yet, but I hope there were no more unpleasant confrontations. Mature adults are above that nonsense.
Election Day Lame Joke #1
Two friends are discussing politics on Election Day, each trying to no avail to convince the other to switch sides.
Finally, one says to the other: “Look, it’s clear that we are unalterably opposed on every political issue. Our votes will surely cancel out. Why not save ourselves some time and both agree to not vote today?”
The other agrees enthusiastically and they part.
Shortly after that, a friend of the first one who had heard the conversation says, “That was a sporting offer you made.”
“Not really,“ says the second. “This is the third time I’ve done this today“.
November 6th, 20123:06 pm
Get, today I am following Brosephus around to be sure he is not imitidating voters being all that he is is not of the “preferred by some” race.
November 6th, 20123:07 pm
They BOTH suck
November 6th, 20123:08 pm
Did you get me email I sent you? Was a week or so ago.
November 6th, 20123:10 pm
Has anybody else seen this video?
If this is not edited, which the person who recorded it claimed it’s not, this is the first actual proof I’ve seen of any electronic machine not recording votes correctly. With the onslaught of smartphones and social networking, it seems that the old ways of fixing elections are on their way out rather quickly.
Following me will keep you safe. My ultimate goal every morning when I leave my house is to make it back home safely and under my own power.

I’ll drop you a note later on. It’s time to go pick up my sidekick so we can go leave fingerprints on a touch screen.
Jesus voted several times in my precinct…
Welcome to the Occupation
November 6th, 20123:13 pm
The Democratic party, like its close cousin the Republicans, is utterly bereft of ideas, intellectually exhausted, and ill-prepared to consolidate the victory it is likely to see today.
The two-party system is doomed.
But sadly, there’s no valid alternative on offer anywhere on the horizon.
No problem. Have a good one.
