If wishing and wanting could swing an election …

Here’s a smattering of current headlines on the home page at National Review:

Romney’s Optimism Will Win:
It’s no year for a big-government pessimist

Romney in Pennsylvania:
Huge crowds brave the cold

Romney Wins on Tuesday
Here’s how he does it

Romney Beats Obama
Predicting the target states

Parsing the Polls
If Gallup’s right, Obama’s toast

The Unlikely Swing State
Wisconsin, in play again, is poised to turn right

Why Romney Wins Ohio
Independents are comfortable with Mitt

Again, that’s just the headlines on the home page. The stories themselves are in some cases even more optimistic and confident. Longtime political analyst Michael Barone, for example, predicts a veritable Mittslide (Headline: “Prediction: Romney Beats Obama, Handily”) with Romney pulling 315 electoral votes and Obama winning 223. Barone puts North Carolina, Florida and Ohio all in the GOP column.

And Virginia, Colorado and Iowa. And New Hampshire. And Pennsylvania. And Wisconsin too.

Now, maybe the writers and editors at National Review really do think Romney is going to win tomorrow. Maybe that’s what a lot of exuberant confidence looks like.

Or, as Will Shakespeare once observed, “The lady doth protest too much, methinks.”

Tomorrow. It’ll all be over tomorrow. Right?

At least you think it matters who wins. I unfortunately have already realized it doesn’t. The anger has obscured the rational thought. When 5% of the population own 90% percent of the wealth and the 95% being left out are happy, then there’s not much to complain about. Turbotax says I’m in the top 3% so I should be really happy. And I am. I like this thing %%%%

Ken,

Right there with you. Looking forward to tonight, and ready to get this country moving again. By this time tomorrow, Obama will be nothing but a bad, bad memory.

After reading more of these posts than I should have, my advice to all is to take two aspirin – or a xanax and check back in Wednesday morning.
Happy voting.

There is another angle that everyone seem to have overlooked in this Presidential campaign… Republican/Independent 3rd party candidate Gary Johnson, who is on the ballot in 48 states is polling at about 5 % in all the battleground states… In addition to that fact, there are two other “righty” candidates on the ballots in most of the states… It is my contention that the news media will begin predicting an Obama victory as soon as the first polls close…

Whatever happens, the War on Women will be far from over, as it’s fought in the dark, dirty trenches of state legislatures while the complacent heave sighs of relief that the election and the holidays are finally over.

But it won’t be over. Know why? It’s not over until WE say it is. That’s why. You’re either with us, or you’re against us. Choose wisely, Gentlemen.

Peace, out.

The only way Romney wins is if he and the Republicans steal the election, which they are perfectly capable of doing. That’s really their only option. Republicans are all about voter suppression and stealing elections because they can’t win elections legally. That’s how Bush won in 04 and 08. Obama leads in all the major polls and I have to think Republicans are pretty delusional if they think they’re winning this. Maybe they’re watching too much FOX Noise.

Was it all a bluff? As Mitt Romney’s ‘surge’ erodes, the Republican nominee’s campaign faces reality. Across the swing states, the polls show the president holds the advantage

An early good morning, all.

Already been working for 45 minutes or so. (Thank god for coffee!) Due to an infinitely better economy than four years ago, I have LOTS of work to do today, and along with voting, the bank, etc. I’m gonna be one busy guy!

Good luck to all in their sacred American right to franchise.

Unlike our right-wing neo-fascists (12?), I heartily encourage ALL Americans to get off of their butts and vote today. THAT is what scares the plutocrats and their GOP (primarily) trickled-on (not down) sycophants – an empowered and emboldened citizenry.

As for the results?

The neocons lost the White House four years ago. Deservedly so, thanks to the worst administration and ideology in a hundred years. They will not retake it today. And I suspect that the road ahead for them in 2016 and 2020 is equally daunting.

I also predict that both of the stupid referendums on the state ballot will likely pass.

Sat dry, it’s soggy out there and again, good luck to all!

Well, folks, say whatever else you will today, it beats the hell out of being in Aleppo today. Count your blessings, hold your nose, cast your vote, get your b*tchin papers for the next for years, order a pizza, pat the spouses on the fanny and tell ‘em how good they look (if you’re legally allowed to have one, twice if you’re not), hug the little ones, take two aspirin and call me in the morning…

And just remember, no matter what happens, it’ll all be over on the 21st of next month anyway…

Billybob asked Bookman early in this blog what Obama meant when he said he wanted to fundamentally change the USA. Bookman brushed him off with a typical liberal non-answer. Obama wants to take from the haves and give to the have-nots; he wants a Marxist society; he wants the votes of everyone who wants government support.

How is it that all the nobodies who post on this blog know so much about Benghazi? Why aren’t you all sharing your inside information with John McCain? I know he’d surely like to hear from you. Be sure to share with John Boehner, too. Maybe he’ll impeach the President based on your vital info.

If we’re lucky, it’ll be over tomorrow. With an army of lawyers from both camps swarming like locusts, we might be lucky if it’s over by January.

This has been going on for a year now.

No wonder most of the other industralized Wesstern countries have nothing but contempt for us.

I think we’re well on the way to being a third rate country with a first rate Military.

Money talks and BS walks. Count on it.

I have Obama tshirt on just like I wear a dawgs or braves jersey And I’m thinking, if the reps really think all these folks are going to come out to vote against Obama, what about the groups that might come out to vote against: rich guys, the tea party, the charter amendment, Paul Ryan, the policies against immigrants, women and gays, the anti FEMA stance, etc etc.
