Again, that’s just the headlines on the home page. The stories themselves are in some cases even more optimistic and confident. Longtime political analyst Michael Barone, for example, predicts a veritable Mittslide (Headline: “Prediction: Romney Beats Obama, Handily”) with Romney pulling 315 electoral votes and Obama winning 223. Barone puts North Carolina, Florida and Ohio all in the GOP column.
And Virginia, Colorado and Iowa. And New Hampshire. And Pennsylvania. And Wisconsin too.
Now, maybe the writers and editors at National Review really do think Romney is going to win tomorrow. Maybe that’s what a lot of exuberant confidence looks like.
Or, as Will Shakespeare once observed, “The lady doth protest too much, methinks.”

People forget too quickly how far we have come. GA Tech and Emory first intergated in the 60s. Roe v. Wade ruling dates to the early 70s. Soon we will have equality when it comes to marriage.
