A civil rights icon does it Gangnam style
A brief note of introduction:
“Gangnam” is a district of Seoul, South Korea. PSY is a South Korean rapper/video star — think of a cross of MC Hammer with Pee Wee Herman — from the Gangnam district. “Gangnam Style” is PSY’s worldwide viral dance video hit, viewed more than 500 million times on Youtube so far. (Original here.)
With that as background, here’s a video put together by the Asian American Legal Advocacy Center here in Atlanta, urging people to register and vote. You may recognize some of the settings — the state Capitol, the MLK silhouette on Freedom Parkway. You may also recognize the older voting-rights champion who gamely dances Gangnam-style to get his message across.
Whatever you think of his politics, you have to admire a politician who doesn’t take himself too seriously. Personally, I would pay a lot to see Barack Obama and Mitt Romney in a dance-off, Gangnam-style.

Didn’t Obama claim during the last debate that he said the day after the attack that it was an “act of terror”?
For days and weeks after the attack he was blaming this insignificant video clip, even before the world at the UN! Yet, they surely knew by then that it was what it was, SO he has been lying, I’ll just leave it up to you as to which of the diametrically conflicting views were the lies.

You are absolutely correct. What African-Americans suffered through all those years is atrocious. It’s a wound that will not heal for centuries if ever.
The problem I have with people like Lewis is the fact that their districts are still poor and violence is out of control. For decades, African-Americans have voted for Dems and they are still poor. The family structure is almost non-existent and there are NO leaders. The ones who want to talk about the family structure are a shouted down by the Al Sharpton’s of the country.
Until folks take personal responsibility there will continue to be massive problems.

Read the transcripts of the UN speech and please show me the quote where he blamed the video. H referenced the video, but never assigns direct blame.

I have also and I was only given access to the info on a “need to know” basis. Once I was separted from the Navy, I was debriefed. I am sure if anyone has held the clearance, it does not give them access to all classified info.

As far as that video is concerned, I thought it was pretty silly, but that’s my taste. If it encourages even a few to get out and vote, then it’s served its purpose.

Had to go watch my team finish sucking through the end of yet another game. Yep. Knowing men like John Lewis really highlights the differences between him and so many hateful, self-centered modern men. I’m glad the differences are highlighted. No blurred lines there!
Shrimp & grits…. not hard. Just cook up the usual peppers, onions, garlic, tomatoes, cajun seasonings, etc, in some olive oil and a little red wine, and reduce it awhile. Toss in some fresh “scrimps” for five minutes or so, then serve over a steaming hot plate o’ grits. Yum!
