It makes me want to learn video-editing software.

I’m gonna have to look for video tomorrow, but that’s the only thing I’ve seen that addresses that. Rubin, in her rightful duties, paints the hearing as devastating for the administration. She never approaches the subject of the CIA being outted by her party. I think they should be investigated for that crap. Chaffetz just came back from there, so he should have known better. I don’t know if that rates as high crimes or misdemeanors, but something has to be done.
Hell, I talk to people everyday coming from that part of the world. I know better than to out a CIA agent if I even remotely suspect someone as being one.

“Associated Press – October 10, 2012
BRUSSELS — The United States has sent troops to Jordan to bolster its military capabilities in the event Syria’s civil war escalates, U.S. Defense Secretary Leon Panetta said Wednesday, reflecting U.S. concerns about the conflict spilling over allies’ borders and about the security of Syria’s chemical weapons arsenal.
Speaking at a NATO conference of defense ministers, Panetta said the U.S. has been working with Jordan to monitor chemical and biological weapons sites in Syria and also to help Jordan deal with refugees pouring over the border from Syria.”
Reuters is reporting “the team had been in Jordan for several months and was there when Panetta visited King Abdullah in early August. The number of troops in the team has since grown, but there are no specific plans to expand it further, the official said. “We have been working with Jordan for a period of time now … on a number of the issues that have developed as a result of what’s happened in Syria,” Panetta told a news conference in Brussels.”

Sarin is another matter.
But, we KNEW in 1995 (and suspected as early as 1984) that Iraq had sarin. And there is evidence that Iraq used it against the Kurds in the late 80s and early 90s.
It has a high dispersion rate and is more effective in enclosed areas making its efficacy as a multi-modal weapon very limited. If the US’s concerns were great enough to warrant the death’s of 4000 soldiers, why then did we wait until 2003 to do so?

I’m not sure what planet you live on but on planet Earth the U.S. govt initiated a secret operation to remove a substantial amount of yellowcake and released details of the removal after the operation was completed.
From that bastion of liberalism msnbc
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/25546334/ns/world_news-mideast_n_africa/t/secret-us-mission-hauls-uranium-iraq/
The last major remnant of Saddam Hussein’s nuclear program — a huge stockpile of concentrated natural uranium — reached a Canadian port Saturday to complete a secret U.S. operation that included a two-week airlift from Baghdad and a ship voyage crossing two oceans.
The removal of 550 metric tons of “yellowcake” — the seed material for higher-grade nuclear enrichment — was a significant step toward closing the books on Saddam’s nuclear legacy. It also brought relief to U.S. and Iraqi authorities who had worried the cache would reach insurgents or smugglers crossing to Iran to aid its nuclear ambitions.

But to your point:
12/7/41 – Japan attacks Pearl
12/8/41 – FDR asks for a declaration of war against Japan (the country that attacked the US). Congress declares war on Japan.
12/8/41 – Germany and Italy (as Axis powers) declare war on the US.

But, and there is where I think you are being intellectually dishonest, Bush and company used a report from Italian sources that Saddam was seeking yellowcake from Niger. This would be stuff we did not know about and could pose a threat. THAT is the yellowcake that I say does not exist.

I was a little concerned that the clown was going to get re-elected. Not worried anymore thanks to his incompetence. Folks have started to tune in to what is going on, and they don’t like what they see.

Wait until folks find out that there are 4 dead Americans because this administration is more concerned about CYA then actually protecting our country.
Obama and his pals don’t give a damn about my country, and I don’t give a damn about them.

Where is the “CYA” that caused the deaths of 4 Americans?

President Bush stated that he “fully understood that the intelligence was wrong, and [he was] just as disappointed as everybody else” when U.S. troops failed to find weapons of mass destruction in Iraq”
The real intell wasn’t wrong, the fixed intell was wrong.
I choose to believe USAF Lt. Col. K. Kwiatkowski, assigned to the pentagon during this time.
She claims the fix was in for Iraq, never mind the intell.
It was well known that 95% of the wmds had already been destroyed or otherwise accounted for, she sez.
As Huffington Post Senior Editor Marc Cooper wrote in a profile of Kwiatkowski for LA Weekly:
(snipped)
Though a lifelong conservative, Kwiatkowski found herself appalled as the radical wing of the Bush administration, including her superiors in the Pentagon planning department, bulldozed internal dissent, overlooked its own intelligence and relentlessly pushed for confrontation with Iraq.
(snip)
The biggest shock I had in May 2002 was finding that the war plan for invasion of Iraq was in its second draft – it was ready to go. We were ready to invade Iraq in the Spring of 2002.

If that is the best you can do, then I’ve wasted time on not one but two posts here.
Shame on you!!

I really don’t know “fixed” vs “real” intel.
I do know that over 4,400 military service members are dead because Bush II decided to invade Iraq under false pretenses.

Just watch the news….or read the news….either way, you will deny anything critical of Obama. So, what’s the point. Done wasting time on Obama supporters.

And how many are dead because of the incompetence of Obama? I know of at least 4 who died on Sept. 11th in Libya.
Ask someone in the military who they support, Obama or Bush.

Ohhhhh….now I get it, there are 4 dead Americans because of “a movie”. Whew…I can now go to bed. I thought it was terrorists that did it, but I forgot that Obama has already taken care off all the terrorists.
I hope he gets out of office before more Americans are killed.

Obama supporter?
Really? Where did you get that?
I simply asked you to specify what YOUR issues were, not Fox nor Rush nor CNN nor anyone else.
I read and follow the news son, and then I dig a bit deeper because I want to to see if there is more to the story than what Fox or CNN or ABC or MSNBC or anyone else has to say about it.
However, I am happy to know that anything YOU have to say is easily ignored.
Good day sir!

Jay:
Please re-open the the Benghazi attack as a topic tomorrow.
I set up a web data mining crawler that is pulling statements, attributions/sources, dates/times etc in an effort to see what happened a month ago outside of the lensing of the major news sources.
It will take some time to parse the data (the complete transcripts from today’s testimony in the HOR are just now coming in).
I am non partisan in this issue. If Obama and company screwed the pooch, then they should be excoriated for what happened. If Romney and company are politicizing the issue based upon partial or misleading facts, then they should be equally excoriated.
In any event, it should be fun to see what the regulars here have to say.

When House Republicans called a hearing in the middle of their long recess, you knew it would be something big, and indeed it was: They accidentally blew the CIA’s cover.
The purpose of Wednesday’s hearing of the Oversight and Government Reform Committee was to examine security lapses that led to the killing in Benghazi last month of the U.S. ambassador to Libya and three others. But in doing so, the lawmakers reminded us why “congressional intelligence” is an oxymoron.

Jay got his marching orders from Plouffe that it’s time to attack some more. The Obama campaign is concerned that the hundreds of millions they spent to attack Romney did not take and it’s time for their lapdogs to attack some more. Of course, that’s all Jay is…a lapdog for the DNC.
It’s all the democrats have: anger, envy, division, attacks, and tired left wing ideology that has never worked and still isn’t.

I actually voted for it, before I voted against it ! But dems never change their minds right ? But this is a good thread, no reason see Jay’s kids to have to tell everyone why obo was so inept he thought our ambassador was killed over a video. Pathetic to think he has been lying to us. More pathetic if he is telling the truth that he and his staff were totally clueless. Some were telling us what really happened two days after the fact but for three weeks mr. law review editor was whining about the video.

Wilbur, if you neocons thought it would help get Mittens elected, I have no doubt that the you CIA-outters would give up a GI or three or an ambassador to the terrorists.
So save your faux outrage for you little fascist circle jerks.
Your cowardly hero is going nowhere but home to his mansion(s) on November 6.
Then you can whine for another four years.
Oh and good morning!
