And how would the FBI be able to execute a thorough investigation in a matter of minutes? Our guys were on the ground for less than an hour to get OBL. I have faith in the investigative skills of the FBI, but are you suggesting they can swoop in from the sky, gather evidence, interview people, and get out in short order and actually conduct a meaningful investigation?

There is no evidence left at embassy..our classified information is gone and the place is in shambles..the purpose is to clarify who had a role and how deep it goes and whether the government there really got whoever is responsible…

Regarding spending 40% more than we take in..I argue it is by far our most significant security risk. we are already overdependent on debt to finance these annual deficits..it won’t take much at all for our interest costs to rise beyond 50% of our annual take..rendering us at the mercy of other countries in a large sense to have cash to continue to dictate our security policy…of course the other key issue is the money supply and our continued strategy to print money..we already have more than double the currency in circulation than 10 years ago…only a matter of time if we continue this tactic, our interests cost will increase…

I think this is the part where the rhetorical cold front meets with the reality warm front and all kinds of severe weather breaks out. Funny how people are against doing something until it affects them personally.

In fact, unless he believes Romney loses republican leaning Missouri (which can be combined with a loss in Iowa or Nevada to get 331), jay’s model says Obama will win the swing states except for Iowa, Nevada, and New Hampshire.

Given Obama’s current lead in Iowa and Nevada (up by 4%), I would say there are problems with Jay’s model

Morning all! I see Aquagirl is in rare form this a.m. and I’m glad Jay took a side trip into the outer limits with the rest of us. Sometimes you gotta laugh in order to not go insane.

Every day that it gets closer and closer to the actual election, people are getting crazier and crazier, (especially the cons — if that’s possible). For instance:

Man on Radio this a.m. — “I’m not voting” DJ- “Why?” Man – “Because Obama likes Gays and gays are sinning against God.” DJ – “So that means you’re gonna vote for Mitt?” Man – “Hell naw! That ain’t even no real religion man!” DJ – “Huh?” Man – “Look, if I ain’t gonna vote for Obama, a black man like me ’cause he likes gays, I DEFINITELY ain’t gonna vote for a white man who likes lizards!!!” DJ – “Huh?” Man – “You heard me.”

Random thoughts (in no particular order):

Right now I’m despondent because the REAL referees have decided to take the offer the NFL made — I was hoping for a longer hold out……say about 6 -7 more weeks………..long enough for Miami to “win” a few and be able to vie for a playoff spot. Oh well.

Saw a “Bama” fan the other day riding around in a yellow car — I thought to myself, “A Yellow Bammer — how appropriate.”

Wednesday was a very rough day for me, found out that Brittany Griner got drafted into some suck azz team instead of coming to Atlanta to play with the Dreams. With Griner and Angel, the dreams would’ve been unstoppable.

Monday I got kicked off of Schultz’s blog — again. I would’ve felt bad, but I’m doing him a favor anyway by even READING that crap he calls “reporting”.

Today is Friday — TGIF. Gin and tonics for all.

When are you liberals going to listen to the “secret” tape of Mitt Romney and then report on what he really said?

He DID NOT SAY he doesn’t care about 47% of the people in America. He said that 47% of American people either pay no income tax, so they don’t care if he lowers taxes because they pay none, or that they are so dependent on government programs for assistance that they won’t vote for anyone who might reduce, or eliminate, the programs that they are so dependent on.

He said that those 47% of Americans are NOT GOING TO VOTE FOR HIM no matter what he says or what policies he would implement if elected.

Therefore, it isn’t his job to worry about those 47% because it would be a waste of his time and resources to try to convince them to vote for him.

Romney reminds people of a boss they had/have that makes them want to quit their job. He reminds them of the boss that would make you come in on the weekend to prepare a report that could have waited until Monday. He’s the kind of boss that would expect you to work late at night then ding you for coming in a little later in the morning. Having my daughter made me step back and really take a look at what I was eating. My goal is to eventually get to the point of getting rid of most pre-packaged and pre-prepared foods altogether. I think it’s healthier to do things with fresh ingredients, but right now it’s just more expensive to do so.

For real! It took me YEARS to finally go totally organic. I first started with milk, then progressed to butter eggs and produce; then progressed from there.

I read an article in Essence magazine once, concerning hormones in food and the effect it has upon A.A. children (making them “mature” too early); and I saw it happening when I picked up my Little Sisters from the SWATS. Nine and ten year old little girls who were already a Double D was too much.

And why shouldn’t it have? What, pray tell, is wrong with providing basic phone service to people who need it?

You know, it’s not enough for these jackasses that we Americans are screwed nine ways to Sunday on our internet and phone service provided by the “free market” monopoly, that we pay many times what people in civilized countries pay for this stuff, that’s delivered to us in a crappier, slower form.
