I guess Romney ’sympathizes with those who attack America’

One of the following two statements is a “disgusting” bid to sympathize with and apologize to those who hate and attack America. It is an act of weakness.

The other, apparently, is nothing of the sort.

If you could explain to me the difference between the two, I would be deeply appreciative. Because I’ve read them over and over again and I confess I just do not get it.

—————–

“… the idea of using something that some people consider sacred and then parading that out a negative way is simply inappropriate and wrong. And I wish people wouldn’t do it. Of course, we have a First Amendment. And under the First Amendment, people are allowed to do what they feel they want to do. They have the right to do that, but it’s not right to do things that are of the nature of what was done by, apparently this film.”

“…. I think him making it, promoting it, showing it, is disrespectful to people of other faiths. I don’t think that should happen. I think people should have the common courtesy and judgment -– the good judgment -– not to be –- not to offend other peoples’ faiths. It’s a very bad thing, I think, this guy’s doing.”

– Mitt Romney

—————–

“The Embassy of the United States in Cairo condemns the continuing efforts by misguided individuals to hurt the religious feelings of Muslims – as we condemn efforts to offend believers of all religions. Today, the 11th anniversary of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on the United States, Americans are honoring our patriots and those who serve our nation as the fitting response to the enemies of democracy. Respect for religious beliefs is a cornerstone of American democracy. We firmly reject the actions by those who abuse the universal right of free speech to hurt the religious beliefs of others.”

Any guesses?

Only difference I can see is one came prior to an attack and then was restated after walls had been scaled and a black flag put in place of the American flag.

I’m getting real tired of seeing “I know you are but what am I” attacks as prebuttals.

Just the other day I read an article that shows House Republicans tried to pass a law that essentially did the same thing they are accusing Obama of doing with welfare work requirements.

This is getting ridiculous. I know Bill Clinton said that “takes a lot of brass,” but it doesn’t. It’s cowardly. It means that 1) You know exactly what you’re doing and 2) You know it’s wrong, so you accuse the other guy of doing it instead of you or at the same time as you in order to somehow imply “two wrongs make a right” or something.

Anybody following this campaign closely is aware that Romney has taken both sides of every issue. I’ve asked the question before…what is a fact checker to do?

For example, when Romney says that he “absolutely” supports personhood amendments that would establish that the definition of life begins at conception, but also contradicts himself by stating that he supports abortion exceptions for rape and incest, what is a fact checker to do when somebody claims that Romney does not support such exceptions? (So far, fact checkers seem to give Romney credit for his more moderately stated positions while dismissing his contradictory and more extreme statements.)

But the Obama campaign also has a dilemma. Do they highlight Romney’s contradictory statements, frequently within hours or minutes of one another, or do they focus on the most extreme of the contradictory statements? It’s quite the conundrum.

Keep Up the Good Fight!

RADICAL ISLAM:

1) Appeasement of Radical Islam will NEVER work.

You can give them everything they want: help them destroy Israel, all the land they want, all the money they want, build their infrastructure, all the “kowtowing” they want, all of the “dhimmitude” they want, etc., etc., etc. It will never work for one simple reason …………. we are INFIDELS.

2) There is only one way to bring peace to the Middle East but unfortunately it’s an immposibility.

You would have to raise whole new generations of Muslims over there (and everywhere in the world for that matter) without ONE BIT of influence/brainwashing by Radical Islamists. How many of you think that can be accomplished please raise your hand.

3) That leaves one option …………….. keep Radical Islam marginalized and “smacked down” to the greatest extent possible. If the organize …… hit them. If they meet ……… hit them. If they show up to fight ………… hit them. If they go to the bathroom ………… hit them. If they sneeze (and the drone picks it up) ……….. hit them.

With all things considered over the long, long term, I beieve a conservative administration will always do a better job of suppressing Radical Islam as opposed to the policies of an appeasing liberal administration.

Therefore, when considering foreign policy, I will vote for the more conservative candidate.

Your glee……..your JOY at the destruction of American property and the destruction of American lives proves my point that I made a few weeks back:

You’ve NEVER been in any military service organization. You probably did a Saxby Rumsfeld Cheney Duck Walk and squatted your butt to the nearest chicken coop to roost with the other chicken hawks.

Only to come out when all the danger was over so that you could wave your flag, put on your flag pins, and say how PROUD you are to be an American, (As long as you didn’t have to shed one drop of blood for it).

What makes me so sad, is for all those REAL AMERICANS who have to die so you Cheneyites and Mittenites can enjoy your “tax breaks” and trickle downs.

joseph – its funny how you cons are having orgasms over the death of the ambassador

Sickening more like it. I’ve never seen so many UNAmericans before in my life. They should all renounce their citizenship NOW and save We the People the trouble of throwing them off our shores.

Scout: I assume you know that four Americans were killed? Two of them security officers?

Yes we know from your verbal jacking off how enthused and happy you are about it. Thanks for the update though.

Joseph: got a question for ya though. Do we still consider Egypt as an ally?

Egypt maybe. Cons, NO.

VerbalTwit: Get your facts straight, please:

“The Cairo embassy statement came six hours before protesters gathered and breached the grounds

OMG do i have to post that time line thingy AGAIN?!? What is WRONG with you people? Do shiny object distract you? Do words like “FASCISM”!!, “SOCALISM!!” make you wet yourselves and scratch your head in confusion at the same time, (probably because you have NO idea of their meaning).

Honestly, is it so hard to read and COMPREHEND what you’ve read without some right wing idiot pundit EXPLAINING it you by using the lowest common denominator? Jeesh!
