UPDATE 11:20: OK, my original headline, “Bill Clinton, awaiting his moment in the spotlight,” should now read “Bill Clinton, extending his moment in the spotlight.”
UPDATE 11:00: Clinton is going all in — full-throated — on Obama’s behalf. I had my doubts that he would do that.
UPDATE 10:50: The GOP message from Tampa: “We left him a total mess. He didn’t clean it up fast enough, so put us back in.”
UPDATE 10:40: President Clinton is not exactly pulling a Chris Christie. So far, this speech is not about him, despite some concern about that from Democrats. He is going all in for Obama.
UPDATE 10:34 “Yesterday’s gone” carries a bit of a different message these days for President Bill, does it not?
UPDATE 10:25: For most Americans, this is their introduction to Elizabeth Warren. It is a powerful, blunt and straightforward introduction.
“Their fight is my fight, and it is Barack Obama’s fight too. People feel that the system is rigged against them, and they’re right. The system is rigged.”
You can argue with her on policy. I think she’s right, but it’s a valid debate. But it is interesting to see such passion and commitment, not just intellectual argument, coming from the liberals again.
UPDATE 10:05: Sandra Fluke, made famous by Rush Limbaugh’s verbal assault on her character, makes a strong presentation.
“She seems like a natural politician,” the woman of the house observes.
Which she does. An effective performance.

Used to have a boat (22 ft) years ago.
Favorite thing in the whole world was to go out at night with a giant mug of coffee and sail until I couldn’t keep my eyes open any more.
It’s amazing how many nights the wind blew and blew when it was dead flat calm during the day. (Mainly easterlies).
Nothing compares to sailing at night!
