Romney post-convention bump looks modest at best
The folks at Gallup have completed their post-GOP convention polling duties, and the reviews are not complimentary. Mitt Romney has enjoyed little or no post-convention bump, and his acceptance speech was rated excellent or good by just 38 percent of those who saw it.
While that may not sound terrible, Gallup reports that it is easily the worst rating given to any of the last eight convention acceptance speeches.
A Reuters-Ipsos poll also reports no sustained bump for Romney, and puts the race at essentially tied headed into the DNC convention in Charlotte.
“Ipsos pollster Julia Clark said she was confident Obama’s numbers would improve during his convention.
“The fact that Obama and Romney are still tied signals to me that we’re not going to see any sort of sustained bump for Romney,” Clark said. “As we go into next week’s convention, Romney will struggle to maintain even footing with the president – we’ll likely see a shift back towards Obama.”
While each candidate won overwhelming support from voters in his own political party, Romney was leading Obama among all-important independent voters by 33 percent to 28 percent, the poll found.”
Rasmussen reports what it calls a “modest” bounce for Romney, whom it has leading 48-to-44 percent.

Word is that that the democrats will feature some of blue color types that experienced first hand the joys Bain’s vulture capitalism. Many think that the only sad stories come from the poor suffering companies Mitt and buddies put out their misery. While somehow making a profit. Those that have survived a hostile take over, know the suffering experienced by the survivors. Company payrolls are trimmed. the lucky few are given their work and the work of their former co-workers to do as well. Pension plans are shafted, work hours increased. Stores that were once staffed by full time employees with extravagant benefits like paid holidays and healthcare, are replaced by part timers that aren’t offered such lavish compensation. This is the post card of what happens when wall street vultures gain control of the jobs others created. I’m really looking forward to learning more about those hard working tax paying job creators at Bain Capital.

Hey man. Thanks a ton for the link. I went on there and filled out the application to get one of their rescue dogs. I found the perfect dog. He’s a Shih Tzu terrier mix, is only 1 year old, and looks a lot like my Marley did. Just a different color is all. So he’s a mutt and a rescue and so I’ll feel better about having him. It was a lengthy application and to tell the truth I’m a little worried about getting him. I had to put down the truth about taking my eyes off Marley and letting him get run over. That doesn’t look good on the app but I did put that I will keep any new dog on a leash. So I’ll just keep my fingers crossed and hope to get him. Thanks again.

A good president should be at least 10 to 15 percentage points ahead. Who cares about a post-convention bounce? Most folks just aren’t watching the conventions any longer. The real telltale sign of this is the day President Romney is rightfully sworn in and then immediately goes over to his desk to stop this bogus ObamaCare crap. Amen, Bill

Jay, Hopefully you’re enjoying the holiday weekend but when you return and review the complaint I’ll be filing on a bloggers personal attack leveled at me this afternoon at 5:14pm. you’ll take the appropriate action. This individual has been a loose cannon attacking all those who post comments that he doesn’t like and has been doing so for sometime. Evidently, you’ve suspended him before and I’ll be formally requesting that you do so again for a much longer duration. His comment was insulting and too far over the top for me to tolerate.

Well, you might of knowed Romney would get his ass kicked all the way to the moon. What did us Conservatives tell the rest of you? We told you we needed to nominate a real Conservative, not a RINO. We needed somebody that would come right out and say we’re going to get rid of your Medicare and Medicaid and Unemployment Insurance and Food Stamps and Social Security and raise your taxes so we can give more tax breaks to the job creators and starve your ass till you get up and go to work. But no, you had to go and nominate somebody that took every position in the world on every issue we got.Sorry folks, I got my Nov. 7 post out and put it on here, instead of what I meant to say. Just don’t pay any attention to that first part. Besides, you’ll be seeing alot of folks writing the same thing the day after the election. Just go right on blasting Obama and acting like we’re going to win.

It shouldn’t matter what browser you use, the code is the same. WITHOUT the spaces you type……. whatever you want italicized and then
It’s the same thing to bold something except you use a b instead of an i. I used to have a page bookmarked for this blog but I can’t find it, I don’t have time.
KAM: Here is a rub for a butt that I came back down here for. Try it sometime, (well unless I tell you tomorrow that it sucks because I’m trying it tonight on some pork chops lol).
2 tbsp Spicy Smoked Spanish Paprika
1 tbsp Cumin
2 tbs Brown Sugar
2 tsp Fresh Ground Pepper
1 tsp Ancho Chili Powder
2 tsp Garlic
1 tsp Onion Powder
1/2 tsp dried Cilantro
Kosher Salt to taste (I use about 1 tbsp)
Mix in Bowl
Add whatever else you think tastes good (This is just a guideline). Change this – let me know!!
