Romney post-convention bump looks modest at best
The folks at Gallup have completed their post-GOP convention polling duties, and the reviews are not complimentary. Mitt Romney has enjoyed little or no post-convention bump, and his acceptance speech was rated excellent or good by just 38 percent of those who saw it.
While that may not sound terrible, Gallup reports that it is easily the worst rating given to any of the last eight convention acceptance speeches.
A Reuters-Ipsos poll also reports no sustained bump for Romney, and puts the race at essentially tied headed into the DNC convention in Charlotte.
“Ipsos pollster Julia Clark said she was confident Obama’s numbers would improve during his convention.
“The fact that Obama and Romney are still tied signals to me that we’re not going to see any sort of sustained bump for Romney,” Clark said. “As we go into next week’s convention, Romney will struggle to maintain even footing with the president – we’ll likely see a shift back towards Obama.”
While each candidate won overwhelming support from voters in his own political party, Romney was leading Obama among all-important independent voters by 33 percent to 28 percent, the poll found.”
Rasmussen reports what it calls a “modest” bounce for Romney, whom it has leading 48-to-44 percent.

Of all undecided voters who would choose to vote for Romney, the
reason would have to be be that they think Obama has not done as
well as expected with the economy. But if we believe what Romney
says, Romney would take us back to the debacle where we were

On January 4, 1995, the new Chairman of the House Banking Committee, Representative James A. Leach (R-IA), introduced a bill to repeal Glass-Steagall Sections 20 and 32.

The big question is, why are Obama and his supporters such as Jay worried right now? Obama is an incumbent president with all of the “advantages” that entails (the bully pulpit) and he can campaign using the the taxpayers dollars by flying around on AF1 everyday without expense to his campaign treasury. At this point, if Obama was the great president that Jay and his supporters in the media proclaim him to be he should be able to walk away with this election with no problem. But that isn’t the case, is it? We keep being told the the polls are tight but I have a feeling they aren’t as tight as they are being presented to us by the Obama adoring media. No, Jay and his liberals are terribly worried because they know America has finally caught on to the fraud that is Obama. I’m more inclined toward Rasmussen’s electoral map that shows Romney either ahead or tied in every battleground state except Missouri where Obama leads by a point. Romney led in Missouri until Adkin stepped in it but I think Romney will still ultimately win there. Rasmussen and Gallup are far more accurate than the media polls.

I was officially describe in my first EER , (enlisted evaluation report for the Army),as “rather blunt and brusque in his mannerisms and speech.” That was by my squad leader. My platoon SGT, SFC Knight, had earlier told me after watching an exchange between me and the CO (a captain) that he had in 16 years in the army NEVER seen a brand new private tell a Commanding Officer to kiss his ass so thoroughly and politely that even though I had dismissed him there was nothing the captain could do about it because all I did was lead him down a verbal path and then answer his questions.
Wow, Kamchek “polite.” Naw, he’s better than “polite.” He tells the f’ing truth as he sees it. Personally I like that much better than “polite.”

Isn’t it sad when someone is so far for normal thought patterns and behavior that you can’t even understand them? I can understand almost ALL patterns of thought whether I agree with them or not, but every once ion a while you just come across someone who is just batsht crazy lol.

When you think about the $ trillions of dollars that have been extracted from the American taxpaying public to fund needless, endless wars, it boggles the mind.
Yet, the Fright-Wing on this blog is obsessed with the relative pittance (5% of our budget) we spend on “welfare” in this country. Even though most those on “welfare” are on “welfare” because multinational corporations have shipped their jobs to China, India, Viet Nam and Mexico.
But the Fright-Wing can absolve themselves of any compassion or altruism by accusing those who have lost their jobs of being “lazy” or having “made poor choices.”
Sometimes when I’m on this blog it really makes me angry to hear these Fright-Wingers babble on endlesssy.
