Let’s raise a glass to the hard-working people! (You and me)

As we slide into the Labor Day weekend, I cannot think of a more appropriate way to mark the holiday than to enlist some exceedingly rich people — all of them self-made capitalists of course — to sing the praises of the hard-working people, the lowly of birth, the rag-tagged people, the salt of the earth.

So … SAAALLLUTTTTE!

The Obama “fad” is coming to an end. Americans want results, doesn’t matter if they are a Democrat or Republican, if you don’t produce you’re out. All I continue to hear from Obama is we need to tax millionaires, as if that’s going to create a job for somebody. The whole Republicans want to take advantage of the middle class strategy is tired, as if the middle class is doing so great under Obama, ha. As if Paul Ryan’s plan is to take advantage of the middle class, yeah, that’s exactly what he wants to do, lol. As if Mitt Romney wakes up each day and thinks about how he can take advantage of middle class America, anyone who really thinks that should check into a mental hospital.

As if Paul Ryan’s plan is to take advantage of the middle class, yeah, that’s exactly what he wants to do, lol. As if Mitt Romney wakes up each day and thinks about how he can take advantage of middle class America,

Well, based on the budget proposals that the two of them have submitted under their own names, they either want to make deep cuts in programs that the middle and lower classes use, cut or eliminate tax deductions that the middle and lower classes take advantage of, or they are seeking to explode the national debt as no other politician has even suggested.

Analysis of Ryan’s budget plan:

The thing about these cuts is that they’re not really thought through. Ryan hasn’t said which programs they’ll hit. And he doesn’t have some theory about how we can spend less and get more, as he does for Medicare with his voucher plan. He’s just slashing things to make his numbers add up. The Center on Budget and Policy Priorities ran the numbers and said two-thirds of Ryan’s cuts will end up falling on programs for the poor.

The reason he’s got to do that is that Ryan doesn’t raise taxes. But here’s the magic trick of Ryan’s budget, and this is really important. Ryan extends all the Bush tax cuts, and then he adds a bunch of new tax cuts costing more than $4.5 trillion. So how does he pay for them?

He doesn’t. But he told Congress’s budget guys to assume he’d figure out how to pay for them later. To pay for those, you’d need to eliminate almost everything else in the tax code — the home mortgage interest deduction, the Child Tax Credit, the deduction for state and local taxes, most all of it. Ryan hasn’t named one that he’d eliminate. So there’s a mystery $4.5 trillion in tax increases sitting at the center of Ryan’s budget promises.

So every time you see anyone say that Ryan’s budget reduces the debt, they’re assuming he really will find some way to pay for his tax cuts. If he doesn’t, then his plan blows a multitrillion dollar hole in the budget, even after cutting all that spending.

————————–

Analysis of Romney’s budget plan:

Consider what the Romney campaign, then, is saying: If Romney is elected, then by his third year in office, every single federal program that is not Medicare, Social Security, or defense, will be cut, on average, by 40 percent. That means Medicaid, infrastructure, education, food safety, road safety, the postal service, basic research, foreign aid, housing subsidies, food stamps, the Census, Pell grants, the Patent and Trademark Office, the FDA — all of it has to be cut by, on average, 40 percent. If Romney tried to protect any particular priority, it would mean all the others have to be cut by more than 40 percent.

That’s not even remotely plausible. The consequences would be catastrophic. The outcry would be deafening. And Romney has shown no stomach for selling such severe cuts.

Consider that, even as we speak, Romney is running away from the unpopular bits of the Ryan budget, which delivers far less devastating cuts than what Romney is promising. Does anyone really believe that he will take office and cut education by 40 percent? That he will take office and, after running away from specifics during the campaign, propose what would surely be the most unpopular budget in American history?…

This is simply not a credible budget plan, and Romney’s fast retreat from Ryan’s most unpopular cuts makes it even less credible. And yet Romney, who has never released the specific cuts that would make his numbers add up, repeatedly touts it on the campaign trail, and the media dutifully reports his promises to cut federal spending by more than $500 billion in 2016, and in fact to balance the budget by the end of his second term, which would require far larger cuts than what I’ve outlined here, despite the fact that everyone basically knows these cuts aren’t credible and will never happen.

That’s all they seem to have. The funny thing is that there are areas where Obama can easily be attacked without making sh*t up. Instead, some are choosing to fabricate things to make him look like the scary Negro (for those who use race) or the overzealous politician.

It seems as though Obama is indeed viewed as a sort of “Messiah” by some on the right. He’s pushing this country on some far-left, Socialist, Marxist, Kenyan path while at the same time, he’s been a complete failure as a president. Seems that he’s not a failure if he’s able to accomplish what he’s supposedly set out to do.

People who fail to think logically will never understand the impossibility of the positions they try to paint Obama as having or accomplishing.

I think he should say that just as soon as the GOP say that it’s their fault that the country is effed up right now because they’ve been blocking all attempts that Obama and the Democrats have tried to put forth instead of actually trying to push America forward themselves. When the GOP becomes the party of unadulterated truth, then the Democratic Party should be as well.

As long as one party is lying, I see no reason why the other shouldn’t do the same. That’s just how politics play out in out country. You would think the citizens would want honesty instead of partisaned politics though. However, we can see that the demand for partisaned BS far outweighs the demand for honesty. The party apparatus is simply responding and meeting the supply for partisaned BS. If anybody wants honesty, they have to create a demand for it that can’t be ignored.

The one thing that Obama was obviously unprepared for was the battle that he would have to fight with other people who were elected to govern this country. The GOP, with their completely useless planners, sought out to demonize Obama as far left from the jump. To their detriment, Obama has been anything but far-left. Had the GOP simply bided their time and given Obama enough rope to hang himself, they would be sitting pretty for this election. It would have been far easier to hammer into the Liberal base by pointing out how much of a failure that Obama has been for actual liberal causes now. However, the GOP can’t do that because they’ve already tried to sell him off as über-Left.

The reason that Democrats lost handily in 2010 was because they caved in to the GOP PR machine. The GOP acted completely obstinate through the entire process, so who gives a f**k if they claim that they had no say so in the bill? The bill is a Republican proposal that was done as a counter to Hillarycare. They had opportunity to add input, but they chose to act like bulls in a china shop. I don’t have a problem with how the bill was done. I think the GOP are acting like babies in that aspect.

I don’t like the healthcare bill because it sold the public to the insurance companies with no means of controlling costs.

The far-left believes that America is an intrinsically bad country that should be brought down so the world can leave in peace. Obama believes that America should be brought down so as to transform its ideological culture to accept a hard-left centralized government, which conforms to a marxist world government.

I’ll give you the “potentially” out. From what I’ve read, there is no real way to control costs. The system will still be run and operated by the private sector, so the whole idea of “government controlled” health care is nothing but an unfounded scare tactic.

What has happened, however, is the insurance companies have been granted unlimited customers. They will have to absorb the costs of dealing with the very sick, but when you look at the costs of that group vs the income from the total population, I think it’s safe to say that the insurance companies will not go out of business anytime soon.

As to the undocumented population, they’re not covered because of that insistence by the GOP. We will continue to absorb costs related to treating them as we do now. That’s one of the GOP stances that made it into the bill. Ooops, there goes the idea that the GOP didn’t contribute to the bill.

As to your comparison to the DMV, that point is moot as the government will not be any more in control of your insurance or healthcare as they are now. Unless you’re on Medicaid or TriCare, you won’t be on government insurance. If you’re not going to the VA, you will not have government doctors. Your healthcare will still be provided for by the private sector.

Well, I shore am glad I checked in. Seems like that there dastardly Obama “knowed” about 9/11 way ahead of time and “let it happen.” Why, he ought to be defeated on that account alone.

But, wait! There’s more! Obama’s secret plan is to send America into the garbage can. You heard me right! He’s Presidenting but his ulterior motive is to send America back to the Stone Ages.

Thank God! We done found out about this here Obama Kenyan Muslim Socialist before he could do any more damage to this here country!

Praise Jaysussah!

If someone shot you every time you said something stupid, you’d be dead 100 times over

Your continued existence can only be explained by the fact that you’re a zombie. With the mental capacity to match.

Sorry, you pitched the ball in the middle of the strike zone.

Thanks for the compliment. I can empathize with your father. I’m not overwhelmingly impressed with Obama. If the GOP conducted themselves as though they could be responsible, I’d be more inclined to give Romney a thought. Other than the 2008 primary (cast a vote for Clinton), I’ve been a GOP primary voter since Clinton was in office. I know that doesn’t fit the stereotype, but I’m not a stereotypical person.

Looking at the possibilities of giving the current GOP control over the House and the WH based on the far-right stuff is more than enough to make me not want to vote for Romney. Don’t assume that I am an Obama supporter though, because I’m not looking at putting a vote in his column either. The way things look from my perspective is that the country is damned over the next 4 years regardless to the outcome of this election.

This here Dumbney and Little Eddie Munster couldn’t decide if they want corn flakes or Cheeios for breakfast!

What we need are some “real men” who could think on their feet like ol’ George W. Bush! A real “decider!” Them days is gone for good!

Bro .. .. I haven’t said anything good about Romney. Probably won’t. I don’t think he’s some evil person though. What most people here don’t realize is : simply because a person Has formed an opinion that Obama has not been a good President ….that doesn’t necessarily make them a republican.

True. Very few will back you on that, or the opposite. I wish we could have an option that says “none of the above” which would trigger a new election with new candidates. Maybe the Richardheads that foist these excuses for a candidate would get the idea after they have to rethink their errors a few times.

No one likes “their” party. If they did, they would be busy posting the positives about their own, not trashing the other side.

Make that a bit shorter, and that would make a damn good bumper sticker or t-shirt. ;)
