McCain chews out Ga. congressman for ’specious, degrading’ attack

U.S. Rep. Lynn Westmoreland, Republican of Georgia, has joined four other Republican congressmen in alleging infiltration of top levels of the U.S. government by the Muslim Brotherhood, an organization that according to the congressmen is “devoted to destroying Western civilization from within” and “is determined to impose shariah world wide.”

Huma Abedin

Huma Abedin

More specifically, Westmoreland and his colleagues have demanded an investigation of Huma Abedin, deputy chief of staff to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton,  whom they claim has tight ties to the Muslim Brotherhood and has perverted U.S. policy on its behalf, producing decisions that may “pose security risks for this nation, its people and interests.”

Westmoreland and his colleagues, including former GOP presidential candidate Michele Bachmann, cite no evidence for that scurrilous claim.

Earlier today, another former GOP presidential candidate took to the floor of the U.S. Senate to condemn Westmoreland and his colleagues. Here are excerpts from the remarks by U.S. Sen. John McCain:

“To say that the accusations made in both documents are not substantiated by the evidence they offer is to be overly polite and diplomatic about it. It is far better, and more accurate, to talk straight: These allegations about Huma, and the report from which they are drawn, are nothing less than an unwarranted and unfounded attack on an honorable citizen, a dedicated American, and a loyal public servant… These attacks on Huma have no logic, no basis, and no merit. And they need to stop now….

When anyone, not least a member of Congress, launches specious and degrading attacks against fellow Americans on the basis of nothing more than fear of who they are and ignorance of what they stand for, it defames the spirit of our nation, and we all grow poorer because of it….

All Americans owe Huma a debt of gratitude for her many years of superior public service. I hope these ugly and unfortunate attacks on her can be immediately brought to an end and put behind us before any further damage is done to a woman, an American, of genuine patriotism and love of country.”

Thank you, Sen. McCain.

(Two notes:

One: I have contacted Westmoreland’s office by email requesting any response that he might have to McCain’s statement. If a response is forthcoming, I will post it as soon as I receive it.

Two: Although it is not relevant here, Abedin is the wife of former U.S. Rep. Anthony Weiner, who resigned in the wake of his infamous social-media escapades.)

..10 Worst States to Live in During Retirement
These states rank low for people who want to live long, prosperous lives in retirement.
By Barbara Whelehan | Bankrate.com – 23 hours ago….Email
Share0Print…..How will you decide where to spend retirement? There are many variables to consider — such as where the nearest beach is and how much you’ll fork over in taxes — but your chances of survival may be more important than anything else. You probably want to pick a state where life expectancies run high, crime rates are low, and people tend to prosper. Conversely, you would probably want to avoid states in which life expectancies run lower, crime rates are higher, and poverty is more common.

Bankrate checked out 10 states that rose to the top of the worst-places-to-live list in at least 2 out of 3 of these undesirable categories. These states have many fine qualities, but they may not be the best choice to live in during your golden years. Read on to discover the 10 worst states for retirement.

1. Louisiana

Crime rate: 4,196.5 per 100,000
Percentage of retirees living below poverty: 11.5
Life expectancy: 75.4

2. Georgia

Crime rate: 4,043.8 per 100,000
Percentage of retirees living below poverty: 10.7
Life expectancy: 77.1

Well, seems to me the reason we’re only the 2nd worst state to retire in is because we don’t have enough alligators to get rid of the surplus geezers. If we had enough gators our life expectancy would be down way below LA’s.

2. Evolution is a product of the Devil prompting liberals to deliberately milslead Christian school children and to put them in danger of Hellfire.
3. Obama was not born in America.
4. Huma Abedin is a Muslim Brotherhood plant and is here to harm America any way she can. Obama, of course, knows all about this.

This is just the warmup. Republicans will come out with more and more insane charges knowing their simple and gullible electorate will believe every word they say.

The evidence:

As evidence, she pointed to Abedin’s late father, Professor Syed Z. Abedin, and a 2002 Brigham Young University Law Review article about his work. Bachmann points to a passage saying Abedin founded an organization that received the “quiet but active support” of the the former director of the Muslim World League, an international NGO that was tied to the Muslim Brotherhood in Europe in the 1970s through 1990s. So, to connect Abedin to the Muslim Brotherhood, you have to go through her dead father, to the organization he founded, to a man who allegedly supported it, to the organization that man used to lead, to Europe in the 1970s and 1990s, and finally to the Brotherhood.

Here is a slightly edited quote from years past. Kudos to anyone who remembers the original:

Bachman’s primary achievement has been in confusing the public mind, as between the internal and the external threats of Islam. We must not confuse dissent with disloyalty. We must remember always that accusation is not proof and that conviction depends upon evidence and due process of law. We will not walk in fear, one of another. We will not be driven by fear into an age of unreason, if we dig deep in our history and our doctrine, and remember that we are not descended from fearful men … We proclaim ourselves, as indeed we are, the defenders of freedom, wherever it continues to exist in the world, but we cannot defend freedom abroad by deserting it at home. The actions of the Representative from Minnesota have caused alarm and dismay amongst our allies abroad, and given considerable comfort to our enemies. And whose fault is that? Not really hers. She didn’t create this situation of fear; she merely exploited it—and rather successfully

Seeing how the state department welcomed the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt which is the parent org of Hamas both terror groups one subtle and one violent but both terror it is obvious now that the Clintons are not thinking straight. Abedin came in with the Clintons and if you look at how dsyfunctional the US foreign policy is it is easy to see that something is not right here. The Muslim brotherhood does have a long term commitment to spreading Sharia destroying the US global reach and is the arch enemy of human rights and the US constitution. Americans are illinformed and naive and that is why they are losing their country and their paradise. Steve Emerson has studied the MB and understands that their goal is long term and depends on naievty of the American people. in Egypt the MB destroys diversity, hurts women and children, destroys the Christian copts and Bahais and sets back progress. The Iranian Shia regime of fanatics and the MB/al Quaeda Sunni fanatics both have the same goal although use different tactics. It is interesting that abedin’s career began with the Clintons at a time when CAIR and other Islamic groups were expanding in america. Reading comments here shows how misinformed and ignorant americans are and that is exactly what those who hate America count on. Abedin was not born here. She became Clinton’s right hand during the Clinton presidency Clinton is pursuing a dsyfunctional ME policy and welcoming the MB is the advice that she is getting!! In Egypt the people threw shoes and tomatoes at Clinton for supporting the MB instead of democratic groups. They accused Clinton of helping the dangerous MB take over in Egypt. Don’t you think that she was influenced by her advisers??? Wake up.

Good for Senator McCain

That said, seen this from Juan Cole?

Bachmann has recently been charging that the federal government is infiltrated by the Muslim Brotherhood, and gives poor Huma Abedin, an aide to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and wife of former congressman Anthony Weiner, as her evidence. I mean, this stuff is reminiscent of the LaRouchies and of Nixon’s dirty tricks, and of course of McCarthyism.

But as Karl Marx remarked, everything in history occurs twice, first as tragedy, and the second time as farce. Bachmann is the farce.

But the irony is that Bachmann is right. There is a figure in the Federal government that has suspicious ties to the Muslim Brotherhood, the Muslim fundamentalist movement that began in Egypt in 1928. It is Michele Bachmann.

1. Bachmann is a major supporter of the MEK (Mojahedin-e Khalq or People’s Holy Jihadis), an Iranian terrorist group that joined in the taking of US diplomats hostage in 1979-81. The MEK was formed as a mixture of Marxism and Muslim fundamentalism, and was influenced by Sayyid Qutb, a major thinker of the …. Muslim Brotherhood.

2. Bachmann has accused President Barack Obama of ‘leading from behind’ and not being interventionist enough in Syria. She wants the secular, Arab nationalist regime in Syria overthrown. But the major opposition force in Syria is the Muslim Brotherhood, and it would have a good chance of coming to power (just as happened in post-revolutionary Egypt) if the Baath falls. AnsaMed writes

“In spite of ”long years of repression by the regime,” the movement has remained strong in Syria, said Brotherhood leader, Mohammad Riad Shakfa. The biggest force on the Syrian National Council, which is the West’s main opposition interlocutor, and very influential in the Syrian Free Army…

So Bachmann is actually herself a strong ally of the Muslim Brotherhood of Syria.

3. Bachmann is a supporter of the Northern Alliance in Afghanistan and tried to visit with them.. The Northern Alliance was a coalition of forces fighting the Taliban. It consisted in part of the Jami’at-i Islami, to which many of its prominent members belonged. The Jami’at-i Islami is the AFghanistan branch of the Muslim Brotherhood, founded by Egyptian missionaries in the 1960s. Another component of the Northern Alliance was the Shiite Hizb-i Vahdat or Unity Party, which was allied with Iran in the 1990s.

So Bachmann is, once again, closely connected with the Muslim Brotherhood via the Afghanistan Northern Alliance.

4. In fall of 2011 as the US was preparing to withdraw from Iraq, Michele Bachmann opposed the troop withdrawal. She said that the US was being kicked out of Iraq because the Shiite government of PM Nouri al-Maliki was under the thumb of Iran, and taking orders from it.

Iraq’s disgraced former vice president, Tariq al-Hashemi, also accused Tehran of orchestrating the launches of charges against him of being involved in terrorism. Bachmann is therefore an ally of Hashemi, since they have the same analysis and resentments toward Iran’s role in Iraqi politics, and they oppose that role together. Hashemi was for a long time a leader of the Iraqi Islamic Party, which is the Iraqi branch of the Muslim Brotherhood, founded by an Egyptian missionary in 1934 in Mosul.

In all seriousness, the Muslim Brotherhood is not a centralized party. It has its own history in each country where it exists, and the leaderships don’t coordinate. The largest MB party is in Egypt, and it is not only not a terrorist group, it is behind the Freedom and Justice Party, which got 46 percent of the seats in the parliament and won the presidency. The Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood made a commitment to non-violence and to civil politics in the 1970s and is not a terrorist organization.

Still, it is very suspicious the way it has managed to recruit a Minnesota congresswoman to its cause.

That is the goal – violence is not they only way radical Islam has to attach. They can do it very quietly and effectively by integrating into communities. Dearborn, MI is an example. They have spent years infiltrating that city and now you almost aren’t allowed to be on the streets there if you don’t subscribe to their way of thinking.

Blast me if you will, but my post here is not hateful to any political party or politician. I don’t have to convert a Muslim as a part of my faith, just to live as a witness to the goodness of God. Last name: Westmoreland
Recorded as Westmoreland, Westmorland, Westmerland, and what may be a southern dialectal of Westmarland, this is an English regional surname. It describes a person from the former county of Westmorland, now part of Cumbria. The placename was originally called Westmoringaland, meaning the territory of the people living west of the Yorkshire moors, and the derivation is from the Olde English pre 7th century words “west-mor-ingas-landa”.

So, to connect Abedin to the Muslim Brotherhood, you have to go through her dead father, to the organization he founded, to a man who allegedly supported it, to the organization that man used to lead, to Europe in the 1970s and 1990s, and finally to the Brotherhood.

You post is nothing but misinformation borne of ignorance.

Today you could go and live in a completely Muslim country like Saudi Arabia and no one would force you to bow down 5 times a day to pray to anybody. There’s not even a remote chance of that happening here.

“I don’t have to convert a Muslim as a part of my faith”.
As a matter of fact Christians are the only ones that try to convert members of other religions to Christianity by offering them financial and other incentives – this has been happening for decades in countries like India, so much so that the Indian government had to step in. I have not seen any other religion doing this.

Good grief…

Now Obama asking for tax returns from Romney is equal to this witch hunt. And why should O have to apologize? He is not the one hiding the truth. I think Bush would like to say something similar to what Romney came up with about his last few years in office. I signed the SEC yearly audit as the owner, and man in charge, but that was not the truth I was actually busy running something else. Seems to me Romney has liability of Bain during those years and whether he is running the company or not if something kinky was going on he could be sued or worse. If he is that careless about his signature remind me why we want this man serving as our president. Also he runs his campaign like this. In the Republican primary debates he said he was not familiar with his own attack ads run by his superpac. And lets get some sound bites of Bachmann talking about Romney’s tax returns in those debates. That is the only thing that might make me change my mind, being for a moment on the same page with MB, scary stuff.

We remember back to 1939, when Adolf Hitler and Joe Stalin got together to start World War II.
We must protect the borders or an individual will come in with a small nuclear device – someone from Iran, or North Korea, or Venezuela.

Westmoreland’s horsesh*t is particularly insulting to me as a Jew and as a Georgian by choice. This state was a pioneer in accepting Jews as equal citizens and honoring them for their contributions to the greater society and electing them to public office.

The day will come, and soon, when our Muslim citizens will feel as comfortable and at home in this Goldene Medina as do so many other religious minorities. It’s who we are as Americans. Can someone explain why both Republicans and Democrats of the US have spent billions of dollars, and continues to do so, has wasted zillions of man hours, molested men, women, children, the elderly, the hanicapped, black, white, brown and all shades of people, for the singular purpose of stopping terrorist from using airplanes as flying bombs threatening all on board and thousands on the ground with fiery death? Those terrorists we are protecting ourselves from are Muslims. Every single terrorist is a Muslim, yet many right here on this site think Muslims are being unjustly accused. The “Muslim Brotherhood is one of the more radical, fundamentalist perpetrators of terrorism. A Georgia Congressman tells it like it is and the looney left gets their panties in a wad while being okay with spending billions of dollars to protect us from a “NON THREAT”!

This article reminds me why I voted for McCain in 2008- a man of principle with few equals even if he picked a dingbat as a running mate. My favorite was his eulogy for Teddy Kennedy at Teddy’s wake. He started off by saying they rarely agreed on any issue. Then he said that when things got boring in the Senate, he and Teddy would agree to liven up the floor and go at it with each other. He said that sometimes to entertain the freshmen and see who was awake they would talk about each other’s “near relatives” and apologize afterwards. Yet he had total respect for Kennedy as a Senator.

“…all but” means he didn’t agree. One thing I would point out is that the so called “infrastructure” is not provided by the governent, is not provided by the Obama supporters that screamed their ignorant approval of the president’s silly, stupid remarks. The “infrastructure” is provided by taxpayers. Not by welefare recipients, not by food stamp gatherers, or other systemic moochers. The “infastructure” has been provided for the most part by the very people Obama disparaged with his insensitive remarks which merely delineated what we already knew about his socialist politics.. Most of our “infrastructure” has been provided by the people who pay the most taxes. That would be the businesse and their owners. These people provide the jobs for those who do work and do pay income taxes. You know the ones Obama said didn’t earn their money.

My point is that since the wacky left doesn’t seem to be concerned about the people that did attack us why spend money defending against a non threat. It seems to me that we should just wave those peaceful Muslims around the security screenings and quit wasting time and money.

Here are the basic tenenats of the Muslim Brotherhood. It is hard to find anything peaceful in their aims:

The Muslim Brotherhood opposes secular tendencies of Islamic nations and wants return to the precepts of the Qur’an, and rejection of Western influences. They also reject extreme Sufism. They organize events from prayer meetings to sport clubs for socializing.

The organization’s motto is as follows: “Allah is our objective. The Prophet is our leader. Qur’an is our law. Jihad is our way. Dying in the way of Allah is our highest hope.”

An important aspect of the Muslim Brotherhood ideology is the sanctioning of jihad such as the 2004 fatwa issued by Sheikh Yousef Al-Qaradhawi making it a religious obligation of Muslims to abduct and kill U.S. citizens in Iraq.

Please note the part about “killing americans” and dying for Allah is their highest hope.

You cons have depraved heroes.

And some of you are barely out of the KKK. At least mentally. (Note that second 7:25.)

If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.

Power concedes nothing without a demand. It never did and it never will.

Find out just what a people will submit to, and you have found out the exact amount of injustice and wrong which will be imposed upon them; and these will continue till they are resisted with either words or blows, or with both. The limits of tyrants are prescribed by the endurance of those whom they oppress.

Men may not get all they pay for in this world; but they must pay for all they get. If we ever get free from all the oppressions and wrongs heaped upon us, we must pay for their removal. We must do this by labor, by suffering, by sacrifice, and, if needs be, by our lives, and the lives of others. ~Frederick Douglass

With our system of checks and balances, our Bill of Rights, and our overall love of freedom, Sharia has a long, long way to go ever take hold in this country.

Until then, there’s always Ann Coulter, who once told a Republican audience in Florida to resounding applause and cheers: “Frankly, I’m not a big fan of the First Amendment.”

There you go, Republicans. Make yourselves useful for a change and do something about the real enemy within – YOU. The rest of us are doing really very, very well!! :)

My latest email from the President:

“When I decided to run for president, I had significantly fewer gray hairs than I do today.

Michelle says I’ve earned them, which is the nicest possible way to say I’m getting older.

In fact, I’m turning 51 in a couple weeks, and to celebrate I’m heading home to Chicago for a get-together at my house.

I’d love for you to be one of my guests.

Donate $3 or whatever you can to support the campaign, and you’ll be automatically entered to join me at home in Chicago — flight and hotel covered for you and a guest of your choice.

Chicago is where I fell in love with my wife and where our daughters were born. It’s where decades ago I first started as a community organizer and where, six years ago, I first talked with Michelle about the possibility of running for president.

I’m looking forward to spending a few hours celebrating there before it’s all systems go for the final weeks of the election.

Should be fun.

Thanks for all your support so far. If you can, enter today for a chance to join me and some friends at my house in Chicago, and I can thank you in person:

Ok Dude. On the political compass quiz I scored -.38 which is slightly left of the center for economics and -2.67 on the social libertarian.

On most political test I score pretty close in the no mans land of being on the border of conservative and liberal ideologically.

The problem you have is like most idealogs if someone disagrees with you they are obviously against you. On Kyle website I just criticized his statement the left are holding the middle class hostage. I am used to be both on the left and the right saying I am not moderate because I oftern disagree with both sides. All you are doing is trying to dismiss me by lumping me with the right.

Although I don’t agree with Jay’s conclusion that “Obama is in trouble” other than it remains a close election which means “Romney is in trouble.” the article is clear assessment of how political elections work. Voters can be broken down by 1st Partisan voters. 2nd Independent voters who lean to one party. By this time you have about 90% of the electorate. I would next argue that the next 10% will vote on how much they like the candidate and the perception of how the country is going. I personally feel Obama does pretty well as far as being likeable so the main factor I believe he is suffering from is how well the country is going.

Romney’s campaign is banking on the factor that the country is headed in the wrong direction while Obama is trying to make Romney as unlikeable as possible.

“Post Office Nears First Default in Its History”

This is being orchestrated by the bribepayers, ups and fedex.
When they privatize the PO, prices will Zoom! Thanx, Bush.

http://bit.ly/HeV1jz

The Truth About the US Postal Service

In 2006, the Bush White House and Congress whacked the post office with the Postal Accountability and Enhancement Act — an incredible piece of ugliness requiring the agency to PRE-PAY the health care benefits not only of current employees, but also of all employees who’ll retire during the next 75 years. Yes, that includes employees who’re not yet born!

No other agency and no corporation has to do this. Worse, this ridiculous law demands that USPS fully fund this seven-decade burden by 2016. Imagine the shrieks of outrage if Congress tried to slap FedEx or other private firms with such an onerous requirement.

This politically motivated mandate is costing the Postal Service $5.5 billion a year — money taken right out of postage revenue that could be going to services. That’s the real source of the “financial crisis” squeezing America’s post offices.

In addition, due to a 40-year-old accounting error, the federal Office of Personnel Management has overcharged the post office by as much as $80 billion for payments into the Civil Service Retirement System. This means that USPS has had billions of its sales dollars erroneously diverted into the treasury. Restore the agency’s access to its own postage money, and the impending “collapse” goes away.

The “freedom fighters,” those seeking “democracy” in all of these countries are actually paid functionaries (by the U.S., U.K., France, Israel) who actually believe that they will receive “democracy” at the end of their struggle.

Egypt stands in stark contrast to this belief. They actually believed that they would live under a democratic government if they overthrew Mubarek.

What a joke!

All of these “freedom crusades” have one purpose and one purpose only. Deposing a “dictator” (usally unfriendly to Western powers) and replacing them with a comprador who will “play ball” with the West.

R-M Michelle Bachmann Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX), Trent Franks (R-AZ), Rep. Thomas Rooney (R-FL) and Rep. Lynn Westmoreland (R-GA). Just some of the Fruitcakes in the Republican controlled congress.

So the nutty Fruitcakes are going after a loyal patriot of this country, Huma Abedin. And where do Bachmann and her fellow lawmakers get their nutty ideas, well of course, their nutty source is none other than the work of a group called the Center for Security Policy. Its Web site is MuslimBrotherhoodinAmerica.com. The man who runs the group is Frank Gaffney who says the Muslim Brotherhood is infiltrating every aspect of American life in order to impose Sharia law. Says it all don’t you think. Frank Gaffney, doesn’t just go after Dem’s though he is a non partisan fruitcake.
All this is about, is Bonky Bachmann just needs some more money so she goes after a person of a different race to pick on, on the democrat side of the isle, so as to get her base of nuts all stirred up so they will send her more money. Have you noticed she does this very same thing a couple times during the year, it’s what she does to bring in money for her piggy bank. Bonky Bachmann, Westmoreland and the other fruitcakes stepped on the wrong toes this time and today I think McCain put all these nutty fruitcakes in their place.

In an article in the New York Times Bachmann said that in her letters she was concerned that the state dept issued a visa and invited a terror group member into the state dept high level meeting. No one knows who invited him? “She did not mention Ms. Abedin. But she raised concerns about the State Department’s decision to grant a visa to a member of the Egyptian parliament who, despite his membership in Gamaa Islamiya, a group designated as a foreign terrorist organization, was allowed to attend high-level meetings last month with administration officials. The State Department has said it is investigating how Hani Nour Eldin was granted a visa” Look at how the Egyptains themselves are upset that the US backed the MB over other democratic groups wondering why the State would so quickly endorse the MB

I agree, hariprakash, there should be no effort to engage with terrorist groups. Heck, then peace could breakout worldwide as it has in Northern Ireland, and we’d have no need to spend three-quarters of a trillion dollars annually on the military-industrial complex. Maybe we could get that down to what China spends, about ninety billion dollars. Just think, we might be able to spend some of the savings on our infrastructure, education and health care needs; and scores of Americans wouldn’t be killed and maimed in far-off lands weekly. That would just be terrible, wouldn’t it?

Mornin’.

Just in case anyone’s forgotten about the sole reason virtually anyone outside of Rep. Westmoreland’s district has EVER heard of Rep. Westmoreland:

U.S. Rep. Lynn Westmoreland, who was born and raised in the South, said Thursday that he’s never heard the word “uppity” used in a racially loaded fashion — and meant nothing more than “elitist” when he applied it to Barack Obama and his wife Michelle.

“If anyone read more into it, no undercurrent was intended,” Westmoreland spokesman Brian Robinson said this evening.

In a Washington D.C. conversation with reporters, the two-term Sharpsburg congressman was discussing the speech of Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin when he was asked to compare her with Michelle Obama.

“Just from what little I’ve seen of her and Mr. Obama, Sen. Obama, they’re a member of an elitist-class individual that thinks that they’re uppity,” Westmoreland said, according to The Hill, a newspaper that covers Capitol Hill.

When asked to clarify, Westmoreland said, “Uppity, yeah.”

Are Westmoreland and Bachman out of line? Maybe. The problem is you people offended by them are the least bit concerned about the other issue here – Muslim growth in the US. Don’t doubt for a minute Muslim plans for growth and a bigger part of the American social fabric. Their plans here are no different than their plans in Egypt, Libya, Syria and Lebanon. You see how well that is going. Get you heads out of the sand.

Various forms of the question “Is uppity racist?” is a very popular on Yahoo Answers. But a little more digging could help these guys out. The most liked and most disliked definition at Urban Dictionary notes that “uppity” is often followed by the n-word. Maybe these media guys don’t know how to Google. Even so, they’ve had a lot of practice with uppity in recent years.

I’ve been called an uppity Jew, an uppity f*ggot, an uppity white boy, an uppity Buckeadite, an uppity fool,an uppity snob, an uppity Southerner, and any number of other uppity whatevers. And most of the time, it’s a pretty apt description. I AM uppity and proud of it.

Anyway, it’s time to get my ancestrally uppity ass off to work…y’all be good,,, :-)

Severe conservatives and their yammering could cost Romney the election. (Last I heard, he’s only two points behind the sitting president – and here it is July already.) It appears that Ms. Abedin’s worst mistake was marrying a loser like Weiner. She doesn’t deserve such hateful remarks aimed at her.Anyone else tiring of Stupid Redneck Conservative Tricks?

Strengthen SEPARATION OF CHURCH AND STATE,

including by constitutional amendment clearly stating that no religious dogma of any group can be enacted into law and imposed on others, and

that will stop this kind of alleged threat to our nation from Islamic extremists in their tracks.

It should also stop the nutters from getting laws enacted that say life begins erection and/or conception.

Life begins at birth–as in when a baby is born and can survive w/o the massive amounts of modern medical intervention which now exist but which did not exist at the time when Jesus walked the earth.

Bachmann is just the latest example of the homegrown fear-mongering our country has been subjected to in the decade following 9/11. These are NOT allegations to be played with in today’s society where dissidence is not being tolerated and minorities are being held without trial. As an elected official, Michelle should be leading by example not spewing her own form of politicized terrorism. You can read much more about living in this Orwellian society of fear and see my visual response to these measures on my artist’s blog at http://dregstudiosart.blogspot.com/2011/09/living-in-society-of-fear-ten-years.html We must acknowledge this type of bigotry erodes our freedoms from the inside out for ALL races of Americans.
