Romney endorsed by The Man Who Isn’t There

0202RomneyTrump06_t653

What does it tell you about all involved that Mitt Romney is willing to be photographed with and publicly embrace the birther nutball egomanic Donald Trump, but wants no photographic evidence of any relationship with former Vice President Dick Cheney?

From the Washington Post:

WILSON, Wyo. — Here was one of the biggest endorsements of Mitt Romney’s political career, an embrace from a man who has served five presidents and who said he has strong feelings about what the country needs in a commander in chief.

“Looking back and reflecting on that, I think there’s only one man to be president of the United States who meets those requirements, and that’s Governor Mitt Romney,” Richard B. Cheney said here Thursday.

But on the evening when the divisive former vice president opened his home at the foot of Wyoming’s majestic Teton Range to host a $4 million fundraiser for the presumptive Republican nominee, Romney’s campaign labored to avoid any photos or videos of the two men together….

Cheney introduced Romney and said he was confident the former Massachusetts governor would lead the nation through an unanticipated crisis such as the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001.

“I’m convinced that in addition to all of these other qualifications that you all know about, when I think about the kind of individual I want in the Oval Office in that moment of crisis, who has to make those key decisions, some of them life-and-death decisions, decisions as the commander in chief, who has the responsibility for sending our young men and women in harm’s way – that man’s Mitt Romney,” Cheney said.

Romney, in his 20-minute speech, complemented Cheney. “That’s quite a man, quite a leader,” he said.

But he made no mention of President George W. Bush.

“what does it tell you about all involved”

Considering that Mitt has been more than willing to flip-flop on any value in order to get the crazed far-right fundamentalist vote, I’d say this is completely in keeping with a man who is so desperate to be President that he will do or say anything, true or not, to get the Presidency.

A thorough study of American History and The Presidency shows that our best Presidents were men who saw the Office as a duty and a personal sacrifice, not a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.

Looks like those days are gone for good.

The dumbing down of America continues.

This from a man who indorses a Presidential candidate who denounces his black liberation theology minister and who maintained political ties with a man and his wife who blew up government buildings and killed Americans. While many of the Democratic candidates stay home from the DNC because they ostensibly want more time to campaign, it is more like they don’t want to be seen with Bozo or have anything to do with him. Bozo is a political detriment to them and they know it, especially in the close races. These people would eat their young to get re-elected and Bozo is certainly not their political friend.

W isn’t running….Blessedly Correct.

However his economic policies are.

RNC is Right: Romney’s Economic Policies are the ‘Bush plan’
April 20, 2012

Obama for America Press Secretary Ben LaBolt released the following statement on an RNC spokesperson’s claim yesterday that Mitt Romney’s economic plans are the “Bush plan, but just updated”:

“Yesterday an RNC spokesperson confirmed what we already knew: that Mitt Romney’s economic policies are the ‘Bush plan just updated.’ Governor Romney has repackaged the same policies that led us into the economic crisis in the first place: giving tax breaks to the wealthiest few at the expense of the middle class and promoting risky financial deals that not only led to the slowest economic growth in a generation but to years of middle class families struggling with fewer jobs and flat incomes and an economic crisis that included a massive elimination of wealth, a collapse of our markets, and rampant job loss. We’ve seen how this movie ends before, and the middle class can’t afford to go back. The President believes we must continue building an economy that lasts, where everybody from Main Street to Wall Street does their fair share and plays by the same set of rules, and hard work and responsibility are rewarded.”

The GOP has tried to make this democracy a one party system since they colluded with and imported key Nazis embedding them in corporations, medical and scientific research and government positions. It is all in the National Archives and the relevant documents were released in 2010 and reported in the New York Times.

While we still have access to the internet and before we lose our land line services take time to research and to broadcast the facts regarding the GOP’s raiding of the taxpayer’s coffers and the rape of the American public. Our public communication systems are at risk and can disappear in the blink of an eye.

atheism isn’t seen as a political liability here –

actually, the biggest difference between the US and UK where this kind of question is concerned is that politicians don’t generally wear their religious convictions (or lack thereof) on their sleeves – it’s considered nobodies’ business but their own. In fact, that Cameron has talked about faith in the occasional interview is a bit jarring.

July 13th, 2012

WASHINGTON — Just when you thought reporters had scrubbed all of Mitt Romney’s time at the helm of Bain Capital, the Boston Globe suggests there’s more to scrub.
The Globe reports Thursday that for three years after Romney says he left the firm, Bain filed documents with the government that listed Romney as its chief executive and chairman. Romney was listed as having managerial control on paperwork creating five new investment entities during that three-year period, the Globe reports, and Romney reported receiving income from Bain for his work as an “executive.” “A Massachusetts financial disclosure form Romney filed in 2003 states that he still owned 100 percent of Bain Capital in 2002,” the Globe reported.

Kill the messenger ….. works every time. Then when you have no rebuttal, call the messenger names and vilify him/her. Then when that doesn’t work, tell half truths, make up stories about what you want to believe but which doesn’t have a chance in hell of being true. Then when that doesn’t work, doctor a few tapes from major news networks to spin a story so it reflects what you want the reader to believe but just tells half of the truth. Then plot to set one group of Americans against another, making them believe that your only friend is one who will continue the handouts and give you something for nothing. Make voters believe that women are being insulted and degraded by those who would take away their government supplied birth control devices or keep them from “controlling their own body”. Split off ethnic groups and advertise on Spanish speaking soap operas how nice it is to be on the food stamp program and most of all, who provides these freebees. Appeal to the young voter by asking those who are getting married or having birthdays to forgo these gifts and give instead, to the Bozo campaign. Most of all tell all the lies you can, when you can about how really great it is to be a liberal. Then expect everyone to believe it.

ty, two points in response:

1.) that “truther” was appointed to a minor position having nothing at all to do with nat’l security, etc. and
2.) once exposed, he was gone in a matter of days, as I recall.

It says a lot about the Obama administration that more than three years later, that inconsequential wobble remains so prominent in the minds of its opposition. Don’t you have something of actual consequence to criticize?

So, growth at only 1.6%, foreclosures at an all time high, record debt, more homes underwater than at anytime in our history, failed stimulus, a health care plan that will cost twice the amount originally estimated, an over 8% unemployment rate for the last 42 months straight, failed “green energy” programs, entitlement spending up 41% since January 2009, a growing deficit of over 1T/yr, lies, lies and more lies…….. and you liberals are vilifying Cheney? Man, you sure have your priorities a little skewed, do you not?

kayaker would wish us all to forget who was in charge when all the terrible things that he mentions actually took place. The world began Jan. 20, 2009, and everything previous to that must be wiped from the memory banks.

Oh, except for Jimmy Carter.

I’ve tried to stand behind JT, but ever since the details of what came out between him and Wayne Bridge’s gf, this incident of racism, that REALLY REALLY REALLY (did I mention REALLY?) stupid red card in the UCL semi in Barca, it’s time to nuke the mofo.

Jay:

Well Jay your under the assumption that people don’t like Dick Cheney?? Taking a swipe at a man that has served his country the way he has is hateful and shameless on your part. Just the fact that Romney had a fundraiser in his home is enough for you far lefty’s to foam at the mouth. Its funny really but you should consider the radicals of your own party that you and your ilk readily embrace…

Just remember this, ANYONE IS BETTER THAN THE INEXPERIENCED, SOCIALIST, COMMUNITY ORGANIZER MORON THAT IS IN THE OFFICE NOW! Sarah Palin was/is by far more qualified than this socialist scum and his class warfare antics!

I beleive that a new evidence continues to come forth since the WashPo Factchecker made a determination. I hope they will consider the new evidence.

Typical rightwing intimidation of the mainstream media. They won’t investigate this story because they have been threatened.

The Bain story is going to blow up bigtime.
