Tailgunner Al West: ‘There’s Commies in the House’

Tailgunner Al West, in response to an audience question:

“I believe there’s about 78 to 81 members of the Democrat Party that are members of the Communist Party.”

There are many things to love about that statement, but my favorite is West’s use of specific rather than rounded figures — “78 to 81″ — in his alleged count, just to give it the ring of authenticity.

The bad news is, this fool was once entrusted to lead U.S. troops into combat. The good news is, the Army caught on and eventually forced him into retirement.

The even worse news is, in the modern Republican Party people such as West are elevated to the status of heros and statesmen. Herman Cain, Sarah Palin, Newt Gingrich and South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley, among others, have even advocated that West be selected as the party’s vice presidential nominee and West, humble man that he is, has said that if asked he would probably accept.

I have a list of reasons — 78 to 81 of them in fact — for why that would be a very bad idea.

Also, if you hammer Obama over something that you know was not possible under Bush, what does that say about your character and moral fiber?

Brosephus: What I don’t understand is why people don’t get that it is a GOOD thing that a majority of the public knows better than to think the President has control over gas prices, since that is the TRUTH. It’s like there just has to be some revenge for when the public thought otherwise when Bush, a man who OWNED an oil company, and Cheney, another oil dude, were in office. The fact that they were defended by Fox News as having nothing to do with it, but then Obama is suddenly responsible now, is also telling.

They BOTH suck

“No ……….. you will not get that courtesy from me when you try to degrade his awards/service.”

While Kerry is yesterday’s news as far as elections, one can only hope you call out those who degrade him when those times arise as they did today

“I know the answer.

Satisfy yourself.”

Meaningless bluster.

You haven’t a reputable source that says West’s actions that day saved the lives of his men.

Because they didn’t.

Don’t Forget:

Please do some research before you post… Google high gas prices and read form a legitimate news source….

Sorry, meant to post the link but forgot. All you need is the graph to back what I’m saying.

0311 — “He had a terrorist that knew where a roadside bomb had been planted.”

Wrong.

“The terrorist wouldn’t talk.”

The Iraqi police officer you call a “terrorist” ended up making up some BS so that West would stop threatening him.

“He (the Col.) cranked a 9mm round off near his head and said the next one would be in it.”

This is true.

“The terrorist talked and the bomb was diffused before it killed American soldiers.”

False. This is what actually happened:

“While serving in Taji, Iraq, West received information from an intelligence specialist about a reported plot to ambush him and his men. The alleged plot reportedly involved Yahya Jhodri Hamoodi, a civilian Iraqi police officer. West, who was not responsible for conducting interrogations in Iraq and had never conducted nor witnessed one, had his men detain Hamoodi. In the process of detaining Mr. Hamoodi, soldiers testified that Hamoodi appeared to reach for his weapon and needed to be subdued. Hamoodi was beaten by four soldiers from the 220th Field Artillery Battalion on the head and body. West then fired his pistol near Hamoodi’s head, after which Hamoodi provided West with names and information, which Hamoodi later described as “meaningless information induced by fear and pain.” At least one of these suspects was arrested as a result, but no plans for attacks or weapons were found. West said “At the time I had to base my decision on the intelligence I received. It’s possible that I was wrong about Mr. Hamoodi.”

Emphasis mine.

BTW, West was never awarded a Combat Infantryman’s Badge. As an Artillery officer, he wouldn’t have been eligible for it. And that’s not dissing the man, it’s simply a statement of fact.

My issue is that people know that and still choose to blame the current POTUS. That leads me to think it has nothing to do with gas prices at all and is more related to their hatred of the guy himself.

Bush was hammered over high gas prices.

That’s because he made claims that Clinton could do the same.

“When Bush first ran for president in 2000, he criticized the Clinton administration for high fuel prices and said the president must “jawbone” oil producing nations and persuade them to drop rates. At that time, oil was nearing $28 a barrel.”

However Bush was rebuffed by Saudi Arabia in 2008 when he urged them in 2008 to increase production and he initially refused to tap into SOR.

“Bush’s visit to Saudi Arabia, which has the world’s largest supply of oil, comes two days after Congress voted to temporarily halt daily shipments of 70,000 barrels of oil to the nation’s emergency reserve. Bush has refused to stop pouring oil into the Strategic Petroleum Reserve, saying the stockpile was meant for emergencies and that halting the shipments would have little or no impact on gasoline or crude oil prices.”

“Saudi Arabia’s leaders made clear Friday they see no reason to increase oil production until customers demand it, apparently rebuffing President Bush amid soaring U.S. gasoline prices.”

That still does not give the Bush defenders a free pass for blaming something on Obama they defended as something that was not possible for Bush.

Someone should inform the good Florida congressman that this shtick has already been done. Joseph McCarthy died a broken and drunken man. The Army-McCarthy hearings did him in. “Have you no decency senator?” came the question from the Army’s chief attorney. You know it seems crazy: Santorum and the GOP resurrect the contraception debate that was put to rest decades ago. Why are thing going retro? Now here we are back in the 1950s with some basket case Florida senator with his “List” of names of commie sympathizers. Gads! The world is now upside down.

On another blog someone said it well:

Joe McCarthy wants his blank pages back.

My first thought:

“They’re coming to take you away, ha ha, to the funny farm where life is beautiful all the time and you’ll be happy to see those nice young men in their clean white coats, they’re coming to take you away ha ha…”

Even if a number might actually communists, they likely value their political careers too to voluntarily be named on a list like that in the era of the ‘net.

West is a lying, bootlicking, UNCLE TOM.

What he does not want to ADMIT is that he is a black man just like Obama.

If THEY don’t like Obama (a black man) they surely don’t like HIM (a black man) either.

He is living in the 51st state.

The state of DENIAL that he is a black man too..

Google: Congressional Progressive Caucus and communism. Make sure you add “-west” to take out all the recent media garbage. This will show you that the Congressional Progressive Caucus has been aligned with communist since the 90’s. West is being truthful.

I know you guys won’t click on a link offered by someone who presents facts, but there it is. Even the Communist Party says it’s not true, while basically saying they wish it was and that more people were part of their party. Poor them.

What do you care Jay? You wouldn’t be voting for that ticket anyway. I’ve got about 78-81 reasons you shouldn’t have a job. But it doesn’t matter because obviously your employer knows it too by relegating you to an online blog.
