A Pierce-ingly ‘Boring’ way to kick off the weekend

Take two good Southern girls — sisters born three years apart, raised in Alabama and home-schooled by their Christian parents.

Send them to, say, Auburn University for college. Instill in them a love for music and performance and a desire to form their own band.

What would you get?

I bet you weren’t thinking of this:

(And to be honest, that’s not a good indication of most of the music put out by Allison and Catherine Pierce. But it’s a funny video and pretty dead-on in its social commentary on the Paris Hilton/Kim Kardashian lifestyle.)

Well, this place is deader than a tent revival on carnival night. You know what this place needs? I’ll tell you what it needs. It needs some Eddy Arnold. And this song kinda fits the weather—sorta dark and overcast and lonesome. And it’s a waltz, of all things. A country waltz.

Just skip over the ad and enjoy Eddy at his best. The song was wrote by Roger Miller. Old Eddy and Roger are both dead now. Have a good weekend everybody.

I do not think josef or anyone else thinks the “big bad world” is going away…………. One can be very aware of the issues in the world, but take time to enjoy time with friends, family, loved ones and pause for awhile to relax and regroup…….. That relaxation may mean different things to different people, but there is nothing that says a person can not take a break from the “hussle and bustle”…….

No one is going to solve all issues that are important to them in one day and surely not on this blog

The Obama campaign is now “allowing” journalists to use the term “Obamacare”. Did you get the memo Jay? I suspect you did. If we are at the point where a politician can tell our news media what they can and cannot do, we are finished. Of course Jay, being a self-evowed media liberal long ago sold his journalistic intergrity out because never will you see one critical peep come from him pertaining to a Democrat and if he ever does, it won’t be about anyone of any consequence or that could damage the national party.

Jay, like so many others of his craft nowadays, only researches and critisizes those that oppose his political ideology. The sad thing is, even when he does this, he cherry-picks whatever graph or statistic or story he can find that supports his polticial view and he totally ignores opposing data. For those politicians that believe as he does, they get a free pass just as he does daily with Obama. We are absolutely “lousey” with polticial prostitutes in the American news media today. None of them are to be believed and how proud they must be to be nothing but political whores. But I guess it keeps food on the table but that is a hell of a price to pay for your personnal integrity.
