I’m in the courtroom of Judge Michael Malihi, awaiting arguments in a case attempting to remove Barack Obama from the 2012 Georgia presidential ballot.
Roughly 100 people are in the courtroom, most of them older white Americans. The conversations are thick with various birthed theories being bandied about.
Dressed tastefully in black and wearing a pearl choker, The redoubtable Orly Taitz swept in a few minutes ago, making a star’s entrance amid whispers of “look, there she is!”
A bailiff has summoned attorneys for the plaintiffs and defendants into chambers for a pre-hearing conference. Since the Obama camp has decided to boycott the hearing, only the four plaintiffs’ attorneys, including Taitz, are in the session.
The plaintiffs have queued up a number of exhibits, including CBS and ABC videos reporting on Obama’s time in Indonesia. No sign of whether such exhibits will be allowed.

My point is that the evidence is so obvious and yet there is tremendous pushback from the Left. The news media has already determined that the case is closed, but they did so based upon a desperation to get the issue behind them, not to determine the truth.

As ridiculous as the scene Jay explained may be, it would serve Obama rightfully if his name was removed from the ballot. Whether he or you agree, our laws provide for a day in court. Obama may not need to be there, but his representation does. Their defense of no grounds should not be allowed to stand. Defense is made in court, not by letter. Ignoring the law with no consequence degrades the system. Obama took an oath to uphold our laws.

Bill, your theory and that of the birthers hinges on the fact that the GOP, RNC, CIA, FBI, Secret Service etc… were completely incompetant and missed a basic requirement for Obama to even run for POTUS. So unless you are telling me that the aforementioned agencies are completely inept, your case has no merit. Hence the reason that no one has been able to offer credible proof of anything. If a Non- American were sitting in the Oval Office, and there was conclusive proof, there would be little the media could do to stop the truth.

Exactly this. During the 2008 campaign, the head of the Hawaii State Department of Vital Records and Governor Linda Lingle (a Republican, I might add) actually *reviewed* the physical “long form” that the birthers so agitate about and said two things about it:
1) It’s valid.
2) There’s nothing on it that would preclude Barack Obama from serving as President, if he were to be elected.
They said one more thing: they reiterated that the State of Hawaii does not, as a matter of LAW, release the “long form” to anyone.
Subsequent to that, the State of Hawaii passed legislation empowering the head of the State Department of Vital Records to ignore, at his or her convenience, any repeated or abusive requests for copies of records in her or her care. Previously, the head was obliged to respond (including with letters detailing why the sought-after records could not be legally released), but now he/she is allowed just to blow birthers off.
Governor Lingle has been succeeded by former Congressman Neil Abercrombie, but Lingle has announced as a candidate to succeed retiring U. S. Senator Daniel Akaka, the junior Senator from Hawaii.
Maybe if Lingle gets elected and goes to Washington, you birthers can go up there and she can tell you to your face that Obama’s birth certificate is valid and that she’s seen it.
If any birthers want to impeach the birth certificate or have it ruled invalid, they’re going to have to come up with conclusive evidence that accomplishes two things:
1) refutes the head of the Hawaii State Department of Vital Records
2) refutes former Governor — and possible future Senator — Linda Lingle.
Absent that kind of evidence, there’s nothing birthers have to say that interests me in the least.

Everybody says the US goes to war to protect its oil supplies, but doesn’t it really go to war to ensure the continuation of the petrodollar system?
The Iraq war provides a good example. Until November 2000, no OPEC country had dared to violate the US dollar-pricing rule, and while the US dollar remained the strongest currency in the world there was also little reason to challenge the system. But in late 2000, France and a few other EU members convinced Saddam Hussein to defy the petrodollar process and sell Iraq’s oil for food in euros, not dollars. In the time between then and the March 2003 American invasion of Iraq, several other nations hinted at their interest in non-US dollar oil trading, including Russia, Iran, Indonesia, and even Venezuela. In April 2002, Iranian OPEC representative Javad Yarjani was invited to Spain by the EU to deliver a detailed analysis of how OPEC might at some point sell its oil to the EU for euros, not dollars.
This movement, founded in Iraq, was starting to threaten the dominance of the US dollar as the global reserve currency and petro currency. In March 2003, the US invaded Iraq, ending the oil-for-food program and its euro payment program.
