The second major poll is as many days reports significant improvement in President Obama’s job-approval rating.
Here’s the first, released Monday by Washington Post/ABC News:

Here’s the second, showing quite similar movement, from CNN:

And why the change? Some numbers from CNN explain:

Meanwhile, congressional Republicans continue to throw childish tantrums in Washington over extending the tax break for working Americans, and GOP presidential candidates continue to pitch woo at their party’s more extreme elements.
They can’t hep it, they just cain’t hep it.

The Wall Street Journals lead editorial kicks some GOP butt today.
“GOP Senate leader Mitch McConnell famously said a year ago that his main task in the 112th Congress was to make sure that President Obama would not be re-elected. Given how he and House Speaker John Boehner have handled the payroll tax debate, we wonder if they might end up re-electing the President before the 2012 campaign even begins in earnest.”
The crumbling continues

Please, Republicans, schedule more debates!
The more the country gets a look at your litmus-test passers (plus Ron Paul), the more they realize what a FRINGE party you have become. Of course, your “base” doesn’t realize it, because they only expose themselves to their own echo chamber.

It kills me that any one in the Repub. party can possibly consider the Nutster as a viable candidate for Pres. with his baggage.
Hell his baggage won’t fit in the WH.
Even the members of his own party (that have worked with him) consider him a wackadoddle.
Huntsman has better ideas and is more pragmatic.
Romney would be a possibility but his religion may hold him back.
Perry shot himself in the ???? with his taking the pension while cutting the Texas Gov. pensions.
Bachmann fuggetaboutit.
Paul comes across as a little out there.

This lie you tell does not fit with the other lies….. perhaps its because the Republicans have never worried about paying for a tax cut before, heh. Could it be that perhaps this tax cut is somehow different? When does carrying the water for the party become just carrying the stupid?

Drooling right Jay…but how about talking facts…Obama Harry and Nancy had complete control of the government for two (2) years and failed to pass a budget…but they did pass a 2,000 page to 3,000 page health spending bill that appears to be unconstitutional. As for the payroll tax, this hardly effective the average working person and it was a reduction of a contribution to Social Security. you know, that entitlement program that was to be self funded, except the Elite DC folks left nothing but IOU’s and it is now broke and now all you guys are yelling about a tax reduction that has no real effect on the take home pay for almost everyone. Talk facts, Jay, and quite being a puppet for Obama, Harry, Nancy and the Chicago mob who have done more harm to the economy than all before them.

Oh Jay, Obama is such an inept little weasle. You fail to report that Republicans are trying to give Americans MORE of a tax break instead of the piddly litte one the Obama and the libs want to give us.
It’s just like you left wingbats – only tell half of the story to try to prop up your inept, incompetent, stupid president.

What Post 50 Americans Fear Most and Why

As unemployed women of all ages look for work, cultural biases may hinder their search. While anti-discrimination laws prohibit the practice, some employers may secretly believe that male workers will put in longer hours or be more dedicated to their jobs simply because they are not the ones who are, or will be, mothers.

Thank you, thank you Republicans for continuing to ignore the only candidate with actual presidential credentials……John Huntsman. He’s smart, he knows politics and foreign policy and he seems to be a pretty reasonable guy. All the ingredients you need to poll at about 2% in the wonderful Republican party. ‘preciate it!

Republican house rules do not allow for payment of tax cuts. Any good Republican knows that tax cuts pay for themselves or just increase the deficit, which can be paid for by someone else.
