Well, this Ron Paul reminds me of my grandpappy. Nothing ever pleased him. Everything was all wrong. He was a little touched in the head in his last years and even sounded like Ron Paul. Like Ron Paul he thought we should just go back to the 1920s and start over.

Anyway, we got nuts for canadates and nuts for voters. Before this night is over there’ll be at least a dozen bloggers that come on here and say Ron Paul is exactly what we need in the White House. Like I said, we got nuts for voters.

Have a good night everybody.

I like Paul for his candor and interesting views on some issues, but he is too radical in some ways to ever be president.. He wouldn’t be a bad person to have in your cabinet though. I guess this means Gingrich is now the favorite to win the nomination. As much as it might chagrin people here, I will vote for him over Obama no question. He an idea man and has shown an ability to get things done in Washington. I once vowed I would never vote for him, but in this age of diminishing returns, I think him to be preferable to Obama (who, besides holding political positions anathema to me, can’t lead).

I think you are vastly overestimating the force of the ad, Jay. I take it you never took any film classes in college. The ad really doesn’t say a whole lot (if you consider its content objectively); it’s style over substance. The fact that you consider it devastating speaks more of your strong animus for Gingrich than of its cogency. I mean, there is a lot more that could have been said, but all the ad does is echo the same three statements and with neat textual effects interspersed with “incriminating” footage clips. I don’t know about you, but car-like ads have no influence on who gets my vote (or what car I buy).

Another Newt rant. It only took a couple of Cain rants and some cooperation from old Herman to send him down in flames. How many Newt rants does it take to bury him? Don’t know but how ever many it might take, Bookman is there to make sure that it happens. Nothing about Bozo, the biggest clown that any party ever put into the public forum, Made him the president. How can a “journalist”, even a devoted “opinion columnist” or whatever you call yourself, defend this guy? No sane, intelligent adult dialogue about his failures, only demonic rhetoric about those who want his job. One would think that after all this time in the newspaper business that Bookman would develop an eye for reality and what is really going on in this country. We are about to bail out Europe, with Bozo’s blessing and commit close to 7T more borrowed Chinese dollars or Bernanke created dollars from the Fed to bail these people out. And that seems to be OK with you. You seem to approve all of this insanity through default. Nothing said. No comment. All you have is some video about what a demon that Newt is…. and for what? RP looses GOP, goes independent and takes around 18% of GOP field against Obama- Obama wins.
RP drops out, supporters stay home and do not vote- Obama wins
RP wins GOP, and crushes Obama with combined support from GOP, independents and beaten down former Obama supporters.
Thing is, independents and previous Obama people will not vote for war-mongering GOPs. Something RP is not.

K 71, clearly the issue isn’t racism although the left continues to play that race card when they think that they can get away with it. The lefts problem is that they rallied around a candidate who was perceived to be Americas first black president and the message resonated among many voters most influential was the Independent voters. He’s lost the Independent vote and it’s unlikely he will win it back. Obama is going down like any president will go down under the weight of their failures to accomplish results.
