OK, just how far right has the modern Republican Party gone?
Would you believe …
– Jay Bookman
October 25th, 20113:22 pm
I can’t view the video, but the headline with Robertson saying that the GOP base is too extreme. . .
Just. Wow. Is he saying it’s too extreme left, or too extreme right, or . . . or. . . too fundementalist?
October 25th, 20113:23 pm
oops, missed your actual text that it says “too far right”.
Robertson? Wow. He may actually get this headline accurate.
October 25th, 20113:25 pm
Saw that earlier….Pat Robertson – Bless your heart!
Speaking of Ms. Coulter, what do y’all think about taking up a collection to get her a new dress?
Or is that a uniform?
October 25th, 20113:28 pm
Damn, first Rove now Robertson. Maybe 2012 will be the end of the world. Next thing you know GW is going to show up at an OWS sit in.
And the Dems are too far left when their only solution is to raise taxes on the rich, and they give out waivers to their wonderful health care plan to everyone who donates money, while forcing the nondonaters to have to deal with the bungled bill.
When was the last time Pat Robertson was relevant, anyway? Might as well quote Jimmy Carter.
October 25th, 20113:30 pm
Being a heathen I have little interest in the opinions of ministers from Farrakhan to Robertson. At least he didn’t predict the world was going to end. When Pat called for the assassination of Hugo Chavez he was universally denounced at a nut job by all the left-wing intelligentsia. But when The Messiah puts the hit on Colonel K, Bookman wants to nominate him for another Nobel Peace Prize. Maybe Pat would have done better with a teleprompter. Actually he sounds sane compared to Plugs.
October 25th, 20113:31 pm
Dayum Jimmy, u sound like you took what he said all personal.
I’m not sure Media Matters is going to appreciate you two timing them with “rightwingwatch.org”.
October 25th, 20113:32 pm
So, did Pat just find the real Jesus or is winning now more important to him than getting into heaven?
Bless your heart too!
Thank heavens God protects the simple folks.
October 25th, 20113:34 pm
End this charade of hiding behind shadow organizations.
If the frauds and charlatans for Christ like Pat of the $2000 suits don’t want a separation of church and state, fine.
I say tax the hell out of his unholy “church”.
October 25th, 20113:35 pm
Don’t even know who this guy is…
Can someone clue me in?
stands for decibels
Quiet, Pat. I’m, um, really SCARED of Cain and Perry and their uber-manliness!
yeah, that’s the ticket.
Mrs. G and Joe cool, I think Jimmy62’s Obama Derangement Sydrome meds have worn off.
October 25th, 20113:36 pm
“If the frauds and charlatans for Christ like Pat of the $2000 suits don’t want a separation of church and state, fine.
yeah, and throw in that democrat convention center known as ebenezer baptist church too…right?
October 25th, 20113:37 pm
This is one of those stories where you read the headline and think “those guys at The Onion, what will they think of next?”
October 25th, 20113:39 pm
Haha I heard about this this morning. It is SO funny.
As only leftists are cultists, no conservative would care that Mr. Robertson says anything, good or bad, unless there is an argument. sorta like leftists calling every conservative a “liar” or “stupid” – there is no “there” there.
Joe The Plumber too.
the democrat & OWS nightly prayer:
Heavenly obama, thank you for all you have provided today, thank you for taking from the evil rich to put food upon my table, thank you oh precious obama for caring enough for me to grace me with your image on every channel as you tour the country touching hands with mere mortals and remind us daily how it is you oh heavenly obama who gives us all we need, who leads us through our daily lives and who gives us every talking point our brainless heads share with others. Oh Lord obama, please take mercy on those heartless republicans that refuse to worship you and instead of having you provide every need have decided that hard work and self worth are the ways to have a bountiful life. Forgive them father obama for they know not what they do. In michelle’s holy name Lord obama Amen.
I think Pat’s just telling the GOP to quit saying nutty things cause the Dems are gonna use those sound bytes to crucify them in the general election.
Not that he doesn’t not believe those nutty things anymore.
October 25th, 20113:40 pm
Your google broke Pea??
Jimmy62: and they give out waivers to their wonderful health care plan to everyone who donates money
Until you provide proof of this you are A:
“When was the last time Pat Robertson was relevant, anyway? Might as well quote Jimmy Carter.”
Typical. The righties always dismiss anyone that calls them out for what they really are.
Sure is Amazing
October 25th, 20113:42 pm
Gee, I wonder if this guy aligns more with the Tea Party or Occupy Wall St?
“Georgia man convicted in plot to seize courthouse”
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — A jury convicted a Georgia man Tuesday of a federal firearms charge in what authorities said was a plot to take over a Tennessee courthouse and force President Barack Obama out of office.
“Your google broke Pea??” – Nope, but thanks for asking jackars.
They either dismiss them as irrelevant or pretend to not know who they are.
Peadawg – he’s the founder of the 700 Club. (basically a church that said all we need is 700 people do donate 700 dollars a year. . . but they didn’t stop there) He started the Christian Broadcast Network (CBN) that was sold off and (after a couple moves) is now ABC Family, which still shows the 700 Club, but run be his son. (another Reverend Robertson)
He also ran for president a few years back.
He’s a little to the right (a lot?) of Pat Buchanan. (if that helps)
October 25th, 2011
Don’t even know who this guy is…
Good Lord Peadawg!
October 25th, 20113:43 pm
No need for snarkiness, just look him up dude. Damn, someone pee in your Cheerios this morning?
Dear mm @ 3:40, good afternoon, you miss the main distinction between our ideologies. Conservatives do not care “who” says anything, we are only interested in the reasoning behind an affirmation. Leftists do not care “what” anyone says, but form their opinions entirely based on the identity of the speaker.
“Heavenly obama, thank you for all you have provided today, thank you for taking from the evil rich to put food upon my table,”
Give it up wingnuts, I’m willing to bet MOST Democrats are wealthier than you are.
Been that way for awhile now if one considers themselves anywhere near moderate……goes for the Dems too in relation to the Blue Dogs…….yet the base of both give us our wonderful voting options……
Common Sense isn't very Common
Joe the plumber – I read you are running for office in OHIO. Give Boner a hug maybe it will help you get elected
October 25th, 20113:44 pm
There go the “Pat who?” fringers!
Furiously in reverse!
By his own words, the man is a disgusting lout of a human being.
Own him, righties. He’s another one of your poster boys…
October 25th, 20113:45 pm
Thanks, Logical Dude.
“No need for snarkiness” – I agree. Take your own advice, punkin.
In Peadawg’s defense, Pat’s peak was more than 20 years ago.
It’s like a young person in 1968 wondering who the hell Wendell Wilkie was.
October 25th, 20113:46 pm
@mm, ” I’m willing to bet MOST Democrats are wealthier than you are”. hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha……..bless your heart.
He basically just said that the conservatives are appealing to their small base in order to win the primary but then they will lose the general election because of it. I agree. This is how the two party system works (or doesn’t).
October 25th, 20113:47 pm
Who’s Wendell Wilkie?
OMG, I’d forgotten about this jewel:
“(T)he feminist agenda is not about equal rights for women. It is about a socialist, anti-family political movement that encourages women to leave their husbands, kill their children, practice witchcraft, destroy capitalism and become lesbians.” –Pat Robertson
October 25th, 20113:48 pm
Logical Dude beats me to it!!!
“I’m willing to bet MOST Democrats are wealthier than you are”. hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha……..bless your heart.”
I know I am. Bums you out, huh.
October 25th, 20113:49 pm
defense for not knowing is cool
defense for not looking for himself….not so much
time he does his own homework or he’ll never learn
I like him and he has potential….
Good Lord make it stop.
October 25th, 20113:50 pm
You’re not even old enough to remember Wendell Wilkie — come on now.
Libertarian: He basically just said that the conservatives are appealing to their small base in order to win the primary but then they will lose the general election because of it. I agree.
If that’s what he said, then I agree too. The candidates are falling over themselves to please the “base”. But once past the base, the independents will not go for the extreme.
So let’s hope the more moderate(s) stay at the top for the primaries and the extremes can fall by the wayside.
But it’s only hope. . . reality does not look that way. (and it Got Georgia a bad Deal)
Lord Help Us
October 25th, 20113:51 pm
Pat Robertson is a RINO!!
Jerry Falwell just rolled over in his grave…
@common: wrong joe, and this joe wouldn’t run for anything for two reasons , I couldn’t take the paycut, and I’m afraid I’d get some serious assault charges having to deal with the sissy side of the aisle.
“and it Got Georgia a bad Deal”
October 25th, 20113:52 pm
“and I’m afraid I’d get some serious assault charges having to deal with the sissy side of the aisle”
Oh, so our Joe the Plumber is a real tough guy and would just beat up people he doesn’t agree with. Nice.
October 25th, 20113:54 pm
mm, no personal attacks. Your post has been pulled down.
If you think the posts on this blog are extreme, you really ought to google Pat Robertson. That guy is nuttier than a fruitbat.
I guess we should thank our radical rw extremists for four more years of sanity.
Thank you cons.
Keep voicing your rw extremist views.
Bless your hearts.
Hey!!! What happened??? I had firsties on page 2!!!
October 25th, 20113:56 pm
That’s one good way to look at it getalife!! It’s always best to see the postive, right??
October 25th, 20113:57 pm
Sorry Jay. Is “liar” off limits? If not, then you must be referring to “fool”. I meant to say “full”. Please reread my post.
Somebody has to do it
October 25th, 20113:58 pm
not all of them boschy, quite a few look like they might enjoy it too much. (laughs)
October 25th, 20113:59 pm
Off topic, but I missed this part in the article earlier about the crazy GA man who was gonna take over the courthouse to get Obama:
Huff was stopped by Tennessee officers in April 2010 and told them he was bringing guns into the state from Dallas, Ga., to support efforts to arrest Monroe County officials who refused to indict Obama.
OK, so you get pulled over in your “Don’t Tread” truck and tell the nice police officer this little tidbit of information, and you are now surprised in the fact that your government calls you a domestic terrorist.
October 25th, 20114:00 pm
Is this the same Pat Robertson who at age 73 leg pressed 2000 lbs?
Joe the Plumber,
So, you pride yourself in being a bully? How strange.
Plumber will beat you about the head and shoulders with his big, fat………………….wallet.
October 25th, 20114:01 pm
“This is like Ann Coulter calling you skinny”
……………. or Jay Bookman calling you a liberal patriot.
Redneck Convert (R--and proud of it)
October 25th, 20114:04 pm
Well, guess I must of done lived too long. There’s somebody on here that don’t know who the Rev. Pat Robertson is. To tell the truth, I get them mixed up too. I’m pretty sure he ain’t the one that chased the secretary and then got on TV and said, “I have sinned, Lord.” And he ain’t the one that was married to the ugly woman that put on make-up with a shovel and sold all the rooms in a place he built about 30 times over and then went to prison. And I’m pretty sure he ain’t the one that sniffed cocaine and got outted by his gay lover and then got kicked out of his church.
The question I got is, How come the libruls don’t have a bunch of TV preachers that come out and say things that rile people up? I mean, they got preachers but they don’t have their own TV shows.
Anyhow, you got to admit us Conservatives got lots of preachers we follow. One of them’s got to be right and that means we’ll be in Heaven while the libruls are roasting marshmallows you-know-where.
“This is like Ann Coulter calling you skinny”–JAY BOOKMAN
More Misogynistic “Hate” Rhetoric from Leftist Jay Bookman.
(Jay must have been a bully when he was a kid; picking on women, huh?)
Liberals can’t be patriots?
October 25th, 20114:08 pm
WHERE’S THE PROOF?
You said it, now….
WHERE’S – THE – PROOF??!??!?!?!?!?
October 25th, 20114:09 pm
amwet & boschy, grasping at straws today huh fellers, what’s wrong has urkle not made any magic today? Has he not spun any miracles out DC? Has he not come up with a new lame brain idea for the dumb masses to hoot and holler about? Oh well there’s always tomorrow, even a fake messiah has a down day.
No, Liberals cannot be patriots, they hate America.
October 25th, 20114:10 pm
Sorry Joe – SO I guess giving Boner a hug is out of the question
October 25th, 20114:11 pm
Many American do not thing cons are funny.
They are sick of it.
Politics is a serious business.
Not for childish giggles.
Good thing the adults are in charge.
Lets keep it that way.
October 25th, 20114:12 pm
Just remember that George W. Bush, who lied and got us into two wars in which all those who have died and will still die have probably lost their lives for nothing, got elected and re-elected. Bachmann and Perry and Bush are like peas in a pod and I don’t see any evidence that the Republican electorate has gotten any smarter. If fact, based on some of the posts here, they are dumber than ever. When the Party can be so whacked out wrong that even Pat Robinson can see it, you know that if any of these Republcian clowns are elected, they just might make George W. Bush look like Abraham Lincoln.
October 25th, 20114:13 pm
OK, Pat Robertson….not funny
“So let’s hope the more moderate(s) stay at the top for the primaries and the extremes can fall by the wayside. ”
Unfortunately, it doesn’t work that way………some States do not allow crossover voting in the primaries……so the base is what elects the candidate……..of which may be less moderate than those in the middle can handle……as it is the middle that swings the elections……
October 25th, 20114:17 pm
carlosgvv: you know that if any of these Republcian clowns are elected, they just might make George W. Bush look like Abraham Lincoln.
Now it all makes sense… They want to revise history so that Bush Jr WASN’T the worst President ever!

“Get back Vladimir, this is MY pumpkin!”
Keep Up the Good Fight!
October 25th, 20114:19 pm
Now why would the right wingnuts even be worried, we have been assured over and over that Obama is going to lose in 2012. So extremism does not matter, right?
I’m out. See you all later!
Caption for third picture in photo gallery:
“Hey guys! Look in here, no look in here, oh, look in here, wow, look in here, hey what’s in there, look over here..”
October 25th, 20114:20 pm
Geez Adam….here you go.
“More than 50 percent of the Obamacare waiver beneficiaries are union members, which is striking because union members account for less than 12 percent of the American work force. The same unions that provided more than $120 million to Democrats in the last two elections and, in many cases, openly campaigned in favor of the government takeover of your health care, now celebrate that Obamacare is not their problem.”
October 25th, 20114:21 pm
When I saw the lead and saw it was about Rev Pat I thought “uh, oh…. ‘a prophet hath no honor in his own country.’
Then I read the comments from our conservative friends.
I like it when I’m right.
October 25th, 20114:22 pm
Caption for second picture in photo gallery:
“Nala, what the hell is that? You go around back to hold it off, and I’ll attack it from the front. 1,2,3 go!”
October 25th, 20114:23 pm
@common, won’t be no boner hugs from this corner. ( insert barney frank joke here).
October 25th, 20114:25 pm
When is Scouty going to comprehend that the founder fathers were liberals?
October 25th, 20114:27 pm
What would Cynthia McKinney do?
October 25th, 20114:28 pm
Adam…. Wendy’s has brought back “Where’s the Beef” shirts… are you trying to infringe on that? I suspect you’ll just get cut and run or deflection from the lies.
October 25th, 20114:29 pm
Plumb-bob, someday, if I I’m real lucky and can just get a few more juicy Obama handouts, maybe I’ll get into that 1% with you!
In the meantime, I’ll just live my happy little life down here with the 99%.
BTW, how’s the septic tank pumping business going these days? Seeing a lot of Republican handiwork, up close and personal?
October 25th, 20114:30 pm
ok, gotta head to the house to get ready for a special dinner with the wife, one of our daughters and her fiance’, think he’s going to ask our blessings. I like the boy even if he does have a obama sticker, at least he’s still in college, he has time to grow out of stupidity, lol. Dems, don’t forget your nightly prayers. urkle gonna make all your boo-boos all better.
What would Bo the magic Portuguese Water Dog do?
October 25th, 20114:31 pm
Keep, I think the Mc Rib may be back too.
Be there or be
October 25th, 20114:33 pm
amwet, there’s gold in those sewer lines. Don’t do septic but have a few buddies who do, if you are ever able to pass what you are full of most days, I’ll be happy to give you the number but you better tell them to bring the big truck…………………… gotta go, don’t forget your prayers this evening.
October 25th, 20114:35 pm
I’m sure you do, plumb.
Don’t make the kid eat freedom fries, OK?
October 25th, 20114:39 pm
Funny thing is, a lot of these liberals who belittle a plumber are the same ones who call the plumber and pay $100 to replace a simple gasket in their tank to fix a leaky toilet (after they let it run for 2 years).
October 25th, 20114:40 pm
joe gets a President Obama supporter to his family.
Listen to the kid joe.
He will probably get a better job than you.
October 25th, 20114:42 pm
No, I do that myself.
October 25th, 20114:43 pm
If Pat Robertson is calling them off the wall, they sho nuff are…
What you mean make George Bush look like Abraham Lincoln…spittin image of each other. invade a people to make them over in your image, kill a few hundred thousand for ego driven cause, run roughshod over the constitution, suspend habeas corpus, lock folks up with no charges, leave little but ill will behind you among the “liberated”…and so on and so on…
Want to know what is wrong with this country….. When George Bush and the Republicans can ship 40 Billion to Iraq, all wonders what happened to America ?
Here it is Republican’s ripping off America citizens is the GOP way !
October 25th, 20114:45 pm
“What would Cynthia McKinney do?”
Blame the J-E-W-S?
October 25th, 20114:46 pm
josef – be careful how you speak of Lincoln.
Remember the War of Northern Agression wasn’t
“yeah, and throw in that democrat convention center known as ebenezer baptist church too…right?” ..
…and the Republican convention center, Woodstock (or plug in the name of any other of a myriad of Southern mega churches) Baptist Church.
St Simons - we're on Island time
October 25th, 20114:47 pm
If Jesus Christ returned to earth today, the first thing he would
do is sue Pat Robertson & the Republicans for 30 yrs of slander.
What would Obama do if he had a leaky toilet?
October 25th, 20114:49 pm
What would Obama do if unemployment rose above 8%?
October 25th, 20114:51 pm
Yeah, and a certain individual with the power at hand to shut me up, just might!!!
October 25th, 20114:52 pm
Unemployment may be coming down, just not in the way we would want it to.
Fewer layoffs are taking place, but at the same time benefits are running out for many who haven’t found a job. New hiring is stagnant because demand just isn’t there.
Way to go job creators
October 25th, 20114:53 pm
“When George Bush and the Republicans can ship 40 Billion to Iraq, all wonders what happened to America ?”
Once again, Congress releases the money, and both sides kept shipping it out……but nice try though.
Or did you see the dems put on the brakes when they took over?
What would moonbatty do if she were to post sensible posts instead of nonsense about what she thinks a liberal would do when she has no clue?
That man is truly a nutty Pharisee, but it does seem as if he at least has the wherewithall to realize that if he wants to push the rightwing agenda (as I am positive that he does), he HAS to start by making his fellow nutty Pharisees see that if they want to win, they cannot do it the way they have proceeded thus far….desperate times require desperate measures.
October 25th, 20114:54 pm
What’s Coulter up to these days anyway. She still calling the Occupy crowd Nazis or whatever.
October 25th, 20114:55 pm
Ya’ll lost the Civil War.
You sound like cons.
October 25th, 20114:57 pm
“If Jesus Christ returned to earth today, the first thing he would
do is sue Pat Robertson & the Republicans for 30 yrs of slander.”
This kind of post always gives me a chuckle………as if any of us actually have a clue……
The real kicker would be if Pat was right………….(although I highly doubt it)
Jay, I almost didn’t even read this one b/c AC creeps me out so badly, I don’t even want to think about her…much less, give her any attention…even to mention her name! She is the Kim Kardashian of politics…who gave her any credibility in the first place? Please let’s just ignore her away!
October 25th, 20114:58 pm
Speaking of skanky hags, I haven’t heard much from the repugnant Ms. Coulter, lately.
Is she doing her fair and balanced drooling routine on Fake News these days?
October 25th, 20115:01 pm
On a serious note, we ALL lost the Civil War. And, just for the record, I owe my liberal perspective to my CSA ancestors…I learned from them to question the orthodox top dog mentality at every turn…might don’t make right…
October 25th, 20115:02 pm
Suh – it is the War of Northern Agression nothing civil about it
October 25th, 20115:03 pm
“She is the Kim Kardashian of politics…”
Pretty apt comparison, imo
md. the Republican Congress shipped it out ! The insanity of the Iraq War is a GOP legacy.
October 25th, 20115:06 pm
I learned from them to question the orthodox top dog mentality at every turn…might don’t make right…
Right. Because the Confederate States of America were all about overturning that top-dog mentality and freeing the oppressed. Just because you have to power to force other people to do your bidding doesn’t mean you have the right to do it. That’s what the CSA was all about, yessirreebob.
October 25th, 20115:11 pm
The Iraq War is a legacy of The Treaty of Sèvres…
“md. the Republican Congress shipped it out ! The insanity of the Iraq War is a GOP legacy.”
And it stopped the minute the other guys took control….right??
October 25th, 20115:12 pm
Y’all quit picking on Kim. Can she help it if she is milking her looks for as long as they last. Personally I think Coulter is more of a mix of Lindsay Lohan and Snooki…. and that is still probably an insult to the latter 2.
October 25th, 20115:14 pm
And, again, with all due respect, yours is the orthodox, conservative Yankee Sharia approved version and I have long since come to the conculsion that you are unwilling or unable to view it from any other perspective…and, yes, that IS where I got those opinions…don’t forget that my Greatgrandfather who went to his grave without taking back his US citizenship was an abolitionist…
October 25th, 20115:15 pm
“Can she help it if she is milking her looks for as long as they last.”
I think it was something else she was milking that brought her fame……………
Josef – see you done woke him up
October 25th, 20115:17 pm
What’s a liberal.
October 25th, 20115:20 pm
What’s a liberal
See picture at the top of the page LOL
October 25th, 20115:23 pm
Coulter needs to come onto this blog. She would be right at home.
October 25th, 20115:27 pm
I think it was something else she was milking that brought her fame
October 25th, 20115:29 pm
Don’t say that kayaker – one time on Luckovich’s blog, someone posted a link to it on Malkin’s blog and we were inundated with the crazies. Some of them never left!!
October 25th, 20115:34 pm
Pat Robertson Jay? You are really wearing your desperation on your sleeve if you bring him up in some kind of attempt to produce a conservative Benedict Arnold. Robertson was really never relevant in the past and he surely isn’t now. My god, you liberals must be really scared. Then again, you should be.
October 25th, 20115:35 pm
No, it looks like many of them are still here. But you wouldn’t have it any other way. Keeps Bookman in a job.
October 25th, 20115:37 pm
Coulter is a gadfly/comedian. Nothing more. I’ve often wondered why libs give her so much attention
October 25th, 20115:39 pm
Mann is part Nancy Grace and part Nurse Ratched from One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest.
But without the warmth…
Hey Bosch, and any other dog owners, what is it with the fleas this year?
October 25th, 20115:47 pm
Owned by a cat myself…but fleas, yes! I always heard that a wet summer would bring about an epidemic…
October 25th, 20115:48 pm
the conferates were treasonous slaveholding traitors
October 25th, 20115:50 pm
“Hey Bosch, and any other dog owners, what is it with the fleas this year?”
I wouldn’t know. I treat my dogs twice a year with Frontline and I’ve seen exactly 1 in the last 5 months.
October 25th, 20115:51 pm
Well, old Ace got fleas bad but he’s too lazy to scratch them. Seems they’re alot bigger this year than normal. Ever since Ace got fixed he just lays around real quiet. I think fixing would cure alot of the people on this blog. There’s just too many ready to fight over anything.
October 25th, 20115:53 pm
Dog n josef
We never stopped treating twice a year, but they found us for the first time this year. We border some woods, but haven’t had a prob until this season
October 25th, 20115:56 pm
And the Union went to war to protect slavery…they were motivated by upholding the Constitution. Slavery was constituitional. And only 20% of the Confederates owned slaves. The percentage of Free People of Color who were slave owners was slightly higher. Confederates ran the gamut of humanity and Johnny Reb went to war for almost as many reasons as there were Johnny Rebs…traitors? Of course. They lost.
the confederates were treasonous slave holding ttraitors
October 25th, 20115:59 pm
If you’ve been treating for a long time, you might need to change products. I can’t remember the name of it, but my Vet sells a flea remedy in tablet form and it worked great.
October 25th, 20116:00 pm
Here’s a good example of the rabid, foaming-at-the-mouth, Fright Wing nutcases we have here in Georgia. Somehow I don’t think he’s the exception but rather is the rule.
Read the story here.
youre a lie that free blacks owned more slaves percentage wise than whites. u must have gotten thaT from racist southern historians who lie like a rug. and they were traitors because they tried to destroy this country. and they tried to get ENGLAND to help overthrow this country. like i said the south wwere traitors, ROBERT E LEE should have been hung along with JEFFERSON DAVIS
October 25th, 20116:06 pm
No. I did not get that from such a source. I got it from the United States census records. And, question, were the Revolutionaries also traitors?
Now, since you doubt the slavery and Free People of Color…why would such a high percentage have been slave owners? That little statistic speaks to a much deeper reality of the horrors of that period if you know why…
October 25th, 20116:08 pm
Not so sure whether or not Lee and Davis should have been “hung” together…hanged, maybe…
That Black guy
October 25th, 2011
If you’ve been treating for a long time, you might need to change products. I can’t remember the name of it, but my Vet sells a flea remedy in tablet form and it worked great.
It’s called Comfortis. I have my mastiff on this, haven’t seen a flea in about 2 years.
October 25th, 20116:09 pm
You might get a different prospective about hanging Lee and Davis if you read O’Reilly’s book, “Killing Lincoln”. The book is entirely non-political and portrays JW Booth as a depraved Southerner hell bent on killing Lincoln and destroying everything Lincoln stood for. On the other hand, Lincoln recognized the value of just sending everyone home, no trials, no reprisals, no hangings. He needed the South to help rebuild the Union, especially the agriculture of the South. Andrew Johnson, his veep, felt a lot like you…. hang ‘em all. I wonder what might have happened if Booth had not been successful.
October 25th, 20116:10 pm
“Also Tuesday, a man was seen walking around the park with a loaded AK-47, which, since he has a permit to carry, is legal though was unsettling to many. Police watched him closely as he circled the park, which was filling up with more protesters as the sun began to set. The man said he supported the demonstrators’ right to assemble and was making a point about both the First and Second Amendment”
those durn teapartiers
You cons keep acting like radicals, we will have to do it again.
Learn from your mistakes so Atlanta will not burn again.
You don’t want none of the US military.
October 25th, 20116:14 pm
I really don’t think that the rank and file of the conservative wing of politics wants Atlanta to burn gain or wants a tussle with the US Military. Where do you come up with this stuff?
October 25th, 20116:16 pm
Start acting like Americans and it’s all good.
October 25th, 20116:17 pm
I read O’Reilley’s book…a lot of flaws and only scratches the surface, but his summation of Johnson was pretty close to my own…
October 25th, 20116:18 pm
I don’t have to “act like” an American. I am one.
confederates were traitors, thats a fact.
October 25th, 20116:20 pm
Was Johnson the guy too drunk to give a speech?
Still, though, why did such a high percentage of Free People of Color own slaves? Seriously, my boy, look into it…you might even find some ammunition for you Civil War rifle,,,
October 25th, 20116:21 pm
Nyanh, that was the slave owning anti-Semite Grant!
October 25th, 20116:22 pm
I am not saying that O’Reilly’s book was the definitive text on the killing of Lincoln. There are far more complete texts on the subject. It was, however, a fun read. One of the flaws was a meeting in the Oval Office when the Oval Office had not been constructed yet. The part about the surrender of Lee was most interesting and probably, pretty accurate.
Pat Robertson is the voice of reason?
October 25th, 20116:23 pm
who cares slavery was wrong and the south were traitors.
October 25th, 20116:26 pm
Slavery was wrong, no doubt about it. But one person’s freedom fighter is another person’s traitor.
October 25th, 20116:29 pm
Who cares? You should. It tells you a great deal about just how wrong slavery was. And lemme see…Eamon de Valera started out as a traitor, and ended up a national hero. They won.And I will say to you the same thing I say to Jay, yours is an orthodox conservative view of the whole megillah…
Giving him his just due, he does admit his is “a popular history.” And, despite the fact that I despise O’R it WAS a fun read!
October 25th, 20116:30 pm
the south was fighting to keep humans in bondage, so they werent freedom fighters they were traitors.
October 25th, 20116:32 pm
I saw him on Letterman.
The man is angry and Letterman laughed at him.
I would not read anything he writes.
A blowhard that thinks he is never wrong.
October 25th, 20116:36 pm
Jay drags out some video from someone he thinks is a lying bast*rd who misrepresents everything the noble left has ever tried to do, who at some point in his senility says something Jay agrees with, now anoints him as the voice of the conservative movement now speaking TRUTH.
Since Jay is my hero and I wish to emulate everything he does, here is the voice of the leader of lib ilk, Tom Joyner:
“Let’s not deal with the facts right now,” he said. “Let’s deal with just our blackness and pride — and loyalty. We have the chance to re-elect the first African-American president, and that’s what we ought to be doing. And I’m not afraid or ashamed to say that as black people, we should do it because he’s a black man.”
Jay and his lib ilk butt sniffers ignore the destruction Bozo’s policies have perpetrated upon the minority community in this country. He’s black, he’s a lib, vote for him!!!
October 25th, 20116:38 pm
Then you are guilty of the same thing you accuse others of…… a closed mind. “Letterman laughed at him”….. Letterman laughs at everyone. That’s his job. Letterman is an entertainer…… nothing more.
I read all kinds of things…I’m interested in what “they” (whoever “they” may be) have to say…and Letterman? I put him in the same category with Bill and the other blowhards…
October 25th, 20116:40 pm
He is not credible and usually wrong.
I look actions and outcome of those actions to find credibility.
Try it sometime.
October 25th, 20116:41 pm
“It’s called Comfortis”
Yeah, that’s it!
October 25th, 20116:45 pm
I have often wondered why you carry around a chip on your shoulder. You seem to be a pretty angry man.
I’ve often wondered why libs give her so much attention
I think Marc Maron might have an idea about that, @ around the 2.33 mark.
October 25th, 20116:48 pm
Bosch and Doggone… If you want an interesting show about some great dogs, check out this one… http://www.everydayhealth.com/tv/episode-guide.aspx
October 25th, 20116:49 pm
I almost didn’t watch it given it was Bill Maher…glad I did, though….yeah, that’s the ticket!
October 25th, 20116:50 pm
That video was about the most obnoxious collection of liberal ilk that I have seen in some time.
October 25th, 20116:51 pm
Nah, if others play nice, so will I.
If you act like a bully, I can do that too.
October 25th, 20116:53 pm
Yeah, maybe, but you gotta admit that the part SFD pointed out as a why the liberals are so fascinated by Ann Coulter was pretty spot on!
October 25th, 20116:54 pm
Darren Wesley Huff, Georgia Birther, Convicted Of Plot To Take Over Courthouse To Topple Obama
I wonder if Scout knew this guy.
October 25th, 20116:55 pm
Taxpayer…… could they be one in the same?
“The U.S. Department of State has bought more than $70,000 worth of books authored by President Obama, sending out copies as Christmas gratuities and stocking “key libraries” around the world with “Dreams from My Father” more than a decade after its release.”
Let’s tax some more!!! Gotta buy more Bozo books with my money….
Glad you liked it, Josef.
(ever hear Marc’s WTF podcast?)
if you’ve never heard OF it, this Times article summarizes pretty well…
How does taking over a courthouse topple the President?
October 25th, 20116:56 pm
guess my work is done here. Pleasant evening, all.
October 25th, 20116:59 pm
Robertson has lost his mind. I hope his wife divorces because he is so far gone.
October 25th, 20117:03 pm
a “collection of liberal ilk” ? Well while that may be better than a “gaggle”, I think the actual term is a “pride of liberal ilk”
Glad you could admit you don’t know how much revenue it produces….
Someone will come with an estimate before long.
How’s the funny farm?
October 25th, 20117:04 pm
Oh, the irony.
Just using one name now?
October 25th, 20117:05 pm
I like that…a pride of liberal ilk…
October 25th, 20117:06 pm
Don’t preach to me about using one name
Libs do it all day every day
Plus, it’s fun to liven things up around here when the BS from you guys gets too thick
October 25th, 20117:08 pm
Josef! What’s happening?
Reed looks fired up to kick some people out of Troy Davis park…..
October 25th, 20117:09 pm
By all means, post away con.
October 25th, 20117:10 pm
It is the first time I have ever heard Pat say something that is quite accurate. Dang, I hope he doesnt call rapture time on us.
The right wingnuts have produced a new anti-Obama ad attacking his birthplace yet again. It’s called “Birther Madness” and it’s even filmed in fifty percent black and fifty percent white (B&W).
October 25th, 20117:11 pm
I would say the con ilk lost their minds after 9/11.
Fear will do that to ya.
Don’t preach to me about using one name
Libs do it all day every day
The, “but Johnny does it too” defense.
Hey! Just stirring up the sh*t. Well, I wouldn’t want to be in Reed’s shoes…d*mned if you do, d*mned if you don’t…
October 25th, 20117:12 pm
A pride of liberal ilk?
I thought it was a herd. As in Sarah saying, I shot me an ilk out of the herd
josef….. thought you might like it.
October 25th, 20117:14 pm
Well Common, there you go….trusting Sarah to know the english language. Why that’s just something she’d refudiate.
October 25th, 20117:15 pm
Yeah. But I think he’s ready to be done with OA
Being a leader isn’t fun but he will do what needs to be done
Frankly, I’d go max penalty for every day of violation and make them think twice before breaking the law and messing up our parks
Jm returns hours after his latest humiliation and publicly declares himself a weiner. That is certainly one way to liven up a blog.
October 25th, 20117:18 pm
U declared yourself a dimwit the first time you touched the keyboard
I see, again, you have nothing of substance to say
Like the sun rising and setting….. Every day….
October 25th, 20117:19 pm
October 25th, 20117:20 pm
The sun doesn’t rise and set…the earth revolves around its axis, and… unless of course you’re a flat earther… and, well, as a certain poster might inform us, you do know that moon landing and those pictures were faked by a cabal of conspirators…
October 25th, 20117:23 pm
Josef – I was informed earlier that Bill Clinton started NAFTA and the picture of Bush 1 signing the original before ratification was a fake. Conspiricies on both sides of the fence today.
October 25th, 20117:24 pm
Looks like Jay busting jm made him even funnier.
You da man jm.
October 25th, 20117:25 pm
Loves me a good conspiracy!
October 25th, 20117:28 pm
How about the one about the AJC cut back so much that Jay is actually Kyle.
He has to write both blogs and talk out of the other side of his a$$ on one of them. (you choose which one)
October 25th, 20117:29 pm
Josef 7:20 well if you want to get technical……
Getalife. Grow up. Did you graduate from cubby scouts yet?
October 25th, 20117:32 pm
And he sometimes forgets which one he is on! Personally, I’m of the opinion he’s liberal lefty!
October 25th, 20117:33 pm
How many lies do you spew out in a day? You’re retired and on Medicare but going to a rock concert in New Orleans?
Mm is unemployed but a 1%er?
A plethora of names last night from people who obviously post all the time but using new names.
Liberals are just absurd in their hypocrisy.
October 25th, 20117:34 pm
Aw, why not…we could have it as a thread, and you can bet some would be taking both sides with fervor…
so Jay’s a Southpaw too?
Then he must be in his right mind
October 25th, 20117:35 pm
Enter your comments here
October 25th, 20117:36 pm
Hmmmm…. Mitt is unemployed and a 1%…. guess Jm calls him a liar!
Some might use multiple names to go with their personalities.
I feel lonely with only one BOOHOO
No doubt. And soothsayer would be claiming aliens started the earth revolving around the sun and the rotation is a Bush conspiracy to sap productivity from the poor
October 25th, 20117:38 pm
Jm is so easy.
HOW EASY IS HE?
Messing up our parks?
The scam artists at the top of the food chain have messed up our entire freaking nation and this Republisheep bitches about the parks?
May I have the envelope please?
And the Asswipe Award for the most witheringly wasted wanking performance on a blog goes to….
Jm, for his role in “It Sure Is Dark Up Here!”
My plethora trumps your ilk!
“…I’ve been Ayn Randed, nearly branded a communist because I’m left handed, well, that’s the hand I use to, nevermind…” –Paul Simon
Don’t worry. Jay wouldn’t let u get away with it for long
He calls out the opposition and let’s libs roll on it
We keep winning despite fighting uphill
Don’t believe everything you read here.
You got busted so get over it son.
October 25th, 20117:40 pm
What if this were the twilight zone and Jay was posting as all the bloggers, Kyle, Wooten and Barr…. and the only real poster was you………
Most of the 1% do not work daily at a profession. That is what is commonly misunderstood by many.
Their money works for them and is not taxed at the same rate as a salary.
Some earned it others came from an estate.
October 25th, 20117:41 pm
Those protesters are winning.
Corporate media are covering them more than any tea party.
They are being heard and will not hurt you.
Why so scared jm?
Josef I will probably go to he’ll for causing early liberal death from high blood pressure…..
But sacrifices must be made for the good of the country
Am vet. I see u and taxpayer are good comrades. Nothing of value to say, have you. Again
October 25th, 20117:42 pm
Alright, please back off of discussing blogger personalities, and since I seem to have contributed to that earlier, I apologize for doing so.
October 25th, 20117:43 pm
Common. I hear u. I know. But I don’t call managing my money as being unemployed
October 25th, 20117:44 pm
Difficult to imagine Jay as Cynthia
October 25th, 20117:45 pm
Nyanh…our Obamacare covers our Norvasc…
October 25th, 20117:46 pm
Not scared. As an interesting aside, I was listening to the Italy and Greek protests on NPR
And yes, the 99% blather has spread around the world
But it doesn’t bother me. They won’t get a handout from me.
Aw, you’re no fun!
October 25th, 20117:48 pm
Oh yes. I’m not republican though likely to vote that way this cycle
That is nice jm,
They will not hurt ya.
Jm – I do understand what you mean by managing money. But a true 1% pays others to do that along with tax lawyers, etc. to keep the taxes as low as possible given the current tax code.
That said the tax code is a mess with too many loopholes.
Why not instead of abolishing the code. Turn it on it’s head and abolish the loopholes for 1 year for personal and corporate to see what happens.
October 25th, 20117:51 pm
“Turn it on it’s head and abolish the loopholes for 1 year for personal and corporate to see what happens.”
The gop say they want to close those loopholes but doubt they will vote for it.
“Why not instead of abolishing the code. Turn it on it’s head and abolish the loopholes for 1 year for personal and corporate to see what happens”
Sounds like a good idea to me…
October 25th, 20117:52 pm
I hear ya. I’m all for eliminating loopholes across the board
And if possible, reform entitlements and reduce rates somewhat as an offset
As long as we can balance the budget
My priorities are
1. Fix the deficit
2. Cut spending and loopholes
3. Reduce rates
But we need to do all 3
October 25th, 20117:53 pm
What’s Jay talking about at 7:42
What’d I miss?
October 25th, 20117:59 pm
George templeton strong: of all the detestable places, Washington is the first
Abe Lincoln: there’s too many pigs for the t-ts
That last one sounds familiar…… I wonder if Alan S needs to start footnoting his lines
October 25th, 20118:00 pm
They have a “why can’t we get along caucus” now.
There is one member of the house in it.
Getting congress to act will take another bank collapse.
October 25th, 20118:03 pm
Have a good look at the video that Stands posted on his 6:45. Watch it all, right to the end. You’ve banned posters for much lesser offenses. Is this the kind of standard that you are going to tolerate? Talking about candidates for the presidency getting a good hard f*ck or that idiot Savage crowing on about Santorum. Up to now you’ve run a pretty tight ship. Does this open some doors where we haven’t gone before?
I assume that’s a joke. If not, I want to know who’s in it
Let us see…
Lib bloggers busted posting with other handles on their own accord here at the ajc blogs.
Bosch, Normal, Amvet, Granny Godzilla, getalife, midori, Redneck Convert along with a slew of others…
October 25th, 20118:05 pm
I wouldn’t quite call it a “tight ship”
A well oiled jalopy perhaps
October 25th, 20118:07 pm
A new dem from NY.
The President was joking about the gop rejecting his proposal on jobs.
Sending cons that say no to everything caused our first downgrade and furthered our recession.
Conspiracy theories? I got one. Did ya’ll know that W used to have a special computer that had knobs that controlled the price of oil. When he felt like his friends in big oil weren’t making enough money he would turn the knob that raises the price and voila, that shell oil guy and others raked it in. And there are a fair amount of people who would believe that. Gee whiz there was a occupy atlanta protester who said today on the radio that they were going to protest at the georgia pacific building and levitate the building 4 feet off the ground. Funniest news clip I ever did hear. Then they protested the Koch brothers and said they shouldn’t be allowed to contribute money to political causes. No surprise there. Liberals love free speech- when its their free speech only of course. Then we had the protester at Woodruff Park walking around with a loaded AK-47. I thought ya’ll said they only did that at the tea party rallies? I loves this occupy Atlanta group and I wish Kasim Reed would let them vent year round. Its much better than the comedy channel or SNL.
October 25th, 20118:09 pm
How did Hillary Clinton choose to become a Senator in the area she chose?
October 25th, 20118:11 pm
Wrong as usual.
I use one name.
October 25th, 20118:12 pm
Can we get some coverage on the gloved one of the rent is too damn high party. At least the man has personality and says exactly what the hell is on his mind whether you agree with him or not.
I still love you though, get.
October 25th, 20118:13 pm
Intellect, fighting the gop and hard work.
The old fashioned way.
She earned it.
October 25th, 20118:14 pm
why upstate NY?
Why not IL or AR?
joseph – 4:43
Joseph, you are a spinmaster par execellence. If you don’t already, you should be working for one of the Partys. You make Karl Rove look like a Politicial Science 101 freshman.
October 25th, 20118:15 pm
Seems like Pat agreed with all that stuff, but since he knows how unpalatable it is to the general population (which should tell him something), he’s saying the candidates should lie about it instead.
October 25th, 20118:16 pm
I loves this guy.
October 25th, 20118:17 pm
How many women leaders are running their countries after she ran?
If you are a woman, you should be proud of her.
You have come a long way moonbat.
October 25th, 20118:18 pm
You know you southern gentlemen will never let Herman “Silas” Cain run the Barkley Ranch!
cain stole his spot light.
cain’s new ad is hilarious.
October 25th, 20118:21 pm
I’ve heard about it but its hard to believe anything being funnier than the the rent is too damn high guy. I’m about to find cains newest video and find out what all the hubub is about.
Hillary is a disgrace to women.
She should have dropped that mf like hot potatoe. haha
Fast and Furious Spending
October 25th, 20118:22 pm
I think it’s fair to say in this day and age for most people, Pat who?
Jay Bookman had to dredge up Pat Robertson so he could post a non-blog non-comment–really white-knuckle, exciting stuff there.
Sort of like Jay Bookman calling you a lazy writer.
October 25th, 20118:23 pm
No spin, just the facts…interpret as you will!
And me? Work for a Party? Bite you tongue…I believe in a G-d of Wrath and a Day of Judgment…I don’t need that on my record!
October 25th, 20118:24 pm
I know…Mr. Fast.
Who gives an F about what this guy says besides Jay and his band of merry skunks?
Next we’ll have another piece on Palin.
October 25th, 20118:25 pm
I’ve gotta see the Cain ad….
I kinda like Hillary, Carpetbagger though she may be, but she’s got more cajones than the rest of that testicle free administration combined…takes a lot for me to say that…I’m still pi33ed about the Tammy Wynette slur…but she paid for it….stood by her man!
October 25th, 20118:27 pm
I like skunks…no natural predators and gentle creatures until riled…
fair nuff, josef.
I kinda like her, but she should have kicked old scabby to the curb.
I guess she figured she couldn’t do much better…
October 25th, 20118:28 pm
band of merry skunks
I’ve never heard that phrase before, but I really really like it.
You’re making literary history moonbat even as you give me a chuckle.
October 25th, 20118:29 pm
The last shot of cain smiling says “gotcha”.
He is not serious but he is winning.
Says alot about you gullible, blind cons.
October 25th, 20118:30 pm
Hillary is pretty ballsy. She got that kind of bravery dodging all them bullets a flying in Bosnia when she was sprinting to the plane through a hail of gunfire. She ran a meaner gauntlet than Clint Eastwood.
October 25th, 20118:31 pm
You’re kinder and more forgiving than me…she should’ve cut his balls off and made a pair of earrings…
October 25th, 20118:32 pm
Hmmmm…. skunk v skank….. at least skunk can wash off.
And yet despite their constant whining, they seem unable to use the “internets” to find another blog to their liking.
October 25th, 20118:33 pm
Yeah, but giver her her credit…she came in late for a press conference afterwards and apoligized saying “I was pinned down in the parking lot…” Give me a public figure who can laugh at self…
October 25th, 20118:34 pm
You always make me laugh, sir.
Thank you for your levity, as always.
October 25th, 20118:35 pm
Ann Coulter for president.
October 25th, 20118:41 pm
I like a public figure that can add in some self deprecating humor. We don’t see enough of that. But in Hillary’s case I just think she’s a pathological liar. Probably still woulda made a much better potus than Obama. She certainly couldn’t do any worse.
October 25th, 20118:43 pm
He may get the smoking vote.
What you say is based on nothing but false premises, all of them myths, blown apart by recent or previous illumination.
I actually like it that you have to insert perjoratives into your screed when you mention “cons”. I like it the image–that even though you consider us dumb, intellectual low-lifes (but without any basis at all for saying so), like gum on your shoe–of you constantly bending down to scrape it off. There’s something both funny and sadly neurotic about your mental limping.
Be my guest to blame us “cons” or everyone in the world outside of the White House for every problem in your life. You just can’t stop doing it, though, outloud, whether anyone is reading, listening or no.
What that means is you’re just not well.
Good luck winning over converts with that “reasoning”.
October 25th, 20118:44 pm
Whol’ll take the woman with the skinny legs…somebody’s gotta take the woman with the skinny legs…
October 25th, 20118:45 pm
Maybe the next ad will have somebody drinkin a brewskie. Or smoking a bowl………….. nah…..
The Scarlet A
October 25th, 20118:46 pm
I see we are right on topic as usual……..
October 25th, 20118:47 pm
October 25th, 2011
Whol’ll take the woman with the skinny legs…somebody’s gotta take the woman with the skinny legs…
Obviously not talking about Hitlery……..
That self deprecating sense of humor…one of the places Obama gets a few points in my book..
October 25th, 20118:48 pm
October 25th, 20118:50 pm
How come I bought the DVD of Battlefield3 insertedthe discs (two of them) yet I’ts DOWNLOADING the damn game to install it? Been 20 minutes now………
October 25th, 20118:51 pm
Scarlet….. its a conspiracy……. online gaming?
There’s something both funny and sadly neurotic about your mental limping.
The passive/aggressive card.
Right on cue.
When does Obama joke??
Seems a tad defensive in the past few months….
Hell, seems he’s been hiding a lot lately.
We could use a good joke Obama, lay it on us!
October 25th, 20118:53 pm
Well, it’s in the DNA….I am a Levite!
“Whol’ll take the woman with the skinny legs…somebody’s gotta take the woman with the skinny legs…”
not I. I already married a woman with skinny legs.
October 25th, 20118:54 pm
josef. you sound like a gypsy hawking little children….. (apologies to all Gypsies on the blog who are offended)
Tell the Truth and Shame the Devil
PAT – Tell the truth and shame the devil.
Can Soros be far behind?

“Enter your comments here”
josef is too fast on the draw
October 25th, 20118:58 pm
jm, it’s worse than a freaking conspiracy. I didn’t buy the game online because today is the release date and I KNEW it would be slow. Hell, I only lack a 480 KB file and every time I check the download speed is slower and the wait time longer. I’m at 17 minutes now to “download’ the last 250 KB’s. On a game where I have the damn disc.
October 25th, 20118:59 pm
That’s Romany…unless of course you’re Sister Cynthia and you spell it with a lower case c…
Long story there…
“Hiding a lot”, “campaigning a lot” ……. or perhaps speaking to homeowners in Las Vegas about issues that matter to them to pressure Congress.
But then I guess some posters can’t handle reality or did Fox not report this because the lies took up too much time.
Pat who – heheheheh don’t you wish…….
October 25th, 20119:00 pm
Obama and self deprecating humor? I’ve never seen an ounce of it from Obama. I can’t imagine him having the humility to poke fun at his own self. Too much arrogance and hubris. Al Gore is a whole different story. He was pretty funny when he poked fun at himself. Reagan too. But I’ve never seen it from Obama. The closest I saw too it was when someone asked him about how many points he usally scores in a b-ball game and his reply was that he was an assist man.
Scarlet. I bet Bill Gates has something to do with it. All evil technology begins with Bill Gates.
October 25th, 20119:02 pm
“or did Fox not report this ”
FOX reports everything. Including some things that don’t exist.
And I say this as a rabid Republican Con who listens to AM talk religiously and tunes into Hannity as if my life depended on it.
October 25th, 20119:04 pm
Thulsa. Obama and Huntsman get along swell and have a similar sense of humor.
Aaaaand…… that says it all……..
Who knew Huntsman’s jokes, and delivery, were so dern bad?
October 25th, 20119:06 pm
Dang! I missed last night’s light show.
October 25th, 20119:07 pm
jm….. as we learned, Fox may report something about a lot of things eventually but not always timely, fairly often not accurately, and with a lot of opinion mixed into supposed straight news and as you indicated they even make some crap up……..
They just hired Mark Sanford (former SC governor) after Fox called him a serial liar, etc.
October 25th, 20119:10 pm
Bill Gates is the anti-christ. You ever heard that one? Used to be a popular conspiracy theory before the rise of google and other internet giants. I’ll ask sooth for his distinguished opinion on the matter.
As for gypsys hawking children be careful of disparaging the Romany. josef is very protective of them and as cited them as possibly being the most persecuted group of people ever. Plus I’m part Croatian gypsy ahem, romany that is. Grandpap was romany and came from Croatia.
October 25th, 20119:12 pm
They just hired Mark Sanford…
He can do a travel show — I hiked the Appalachian Trail to Argentina.
TaxP – yeah, bummed I missed it. Coulda done without that “checkups for chicks” ad…. given I’m a guy
Hannity is FOXy Blues Show’s cut-n-paste scam artist extraordinaire.
Huntsman? Is he that feller from Utah? I think he’s running for something or another. Dog catcher maybe. Snooooze.
October 25th, 20119:14 pm
Romany blood lines….. cool
Gates may not be the anti-christ, but he’s gotta be close.
October 25th, 20119:15 pm
Okay…the blue nose is here moderating.
Repeat and clean up
Obama and humor? That interview when the fly came buzzing and the way he handled it was funny as expletive deleted..
Sanford and Boehner could get together and do some country blues about cryin’ over spilled ‘ilk. They got the tears part down to a tee.
I just discovered the magic word for riling up all the liberals- HANNITY! Aint no doubt. He’s in their headsets.
October 25th, 20119:16 pm
Thulsa. Huntsman hasn’t gotten out of the gates.
Jay was right about that. Not sure Jay’s logic included the Huntsman resume item: inability to craft or deliver jokes.
October 25th, 20119:18 pm
Is it a bad thing that Sanford and Boehner probably shed more tears when they step on an ant then Ted Kennedy did over Mary Jo Kopeckni? That’s assuming he shed any tears over her at all once he sobered up.
October 25th, 20119:20 pm
My own granbaby’s mama is Sinti…as Thulsa says, I’m real protective…
October 25th, 20119:21 pm
Cons do love their lies and Hannity never fails to deliver.
October 25th, 20119:22 pm
Hannity is an idiot, a rich idiot that makes tons of millions – good for him. He’s as phony as a three dollar bill and some people hang on his every word, ain’t that america?
October 25th, 20119:23 pm
I just discovered the magic word for riling up all the liberals- HANNITY! Aint no doubt. He’s in their headsets.
I dunno about the liberals, but that ignorant asshat sure as hell isn’t in my “headset.” The only place I’d have that annoying yankee is in my crapper, and if he were there I would flush.
Romany blood lines? Not that cool. My mom told me when I was young but not too young that culturally the romany were sorta the dogs of Europe and looked down upon by all. So I wasn’t ashamed our part of my culture but was just kind of aware of the rap on gypsies in Europe and it wasn’t good. Kinda like the way the English used to regard the Irish as nothing more than dirt.
I see stupid posts……. the Suck Sense.
I just discovered the magic word for riling up all the liberals thelma- HANNITY KENNEDY! Aint no doubt. He’s in their his headset.
October 25th, 20119:25 pm
Ted Kennedy! I think he’s dead. As for the tears from boys, Sanford and Boehner, nuther story. Of course Sanford’s true reasons for crying were 1) getting caught cheating on his wife (like that Glen Richardson fella did) and 2)losing access to her wealth.
Oh Ted, “the lifeguard” shed plenty of tears when he sobered up. Mainly tears of fear of what it would do to his political career. But Gangsta daddy got it all hushed up and folks didn’t care about that poor girl. What a travesty.
October 25th, 20119:28 pm
Mick and Scarlet,
Well it looks like ya’ll have defined your views of Hanity in a certain clarity of language that really does let us know how ya feel. What is it about the man in particular that just perturbs the living hell out of liberals? Say anything but lies because everyone time someone says lies and I ask them specifically to detail what he lied about all I get is mumbo jumbo but no specifics on what he lied about. And btw I’m not a big fan of his. I watch his show on occassion but I just don’t find his show that interesting is all.
October 25th, 20119:30 pm
TaxPayer is ON TO SOMETHIN’
October 25th, 20119:31 pm
Better read up on your ancient history, joe kennedy had a stroke in 1961 and was pretty much incapacitated until he died in 1969. Gangsta daddy as you call him, was barely alive when ted kennedy tragically drove off the road…
Threw the kennedy bait out there and sho enough they bit hook, line, and sinker. It was too easy and wayyyy toooo predictable.
since Obama has been in office, there have been many of us in tears.
October 25th, 20119:32 pm
It’s just raw hate. Buried inside but welling up due to some sort of personal failure…..
**I watch his show on occassion but I just don’t find his show that interesting is all.**
Probably because he is an idiot…
October 25th, 20119:34 pm
If you read anything about Joe Kennedy Sr. you will find that this was a viscious, brutal, self promoting, pompous, and flat out evil man in his ambitious pursuit of wealth and power. Most of the man’s misdeeds are well documented. For example no one disputes the money he made on insider trading or the enormous sums he made in bootleggin liquor. I read a book on him but not the whole book. Put it down a third of the way through because I was so digusted with this despicable man.
Stop congratulating yourself, we all know how the previous administration sold out a covert cia agent because she was “fair game”, what hippycritters..
F U and your Chinese cars!!!
Kam…. I am only a Solyndra away from bingo! Someone gets caught in some stupid posts again and they play the “just kidding” card….wayyyyy too predictable.
October 25th, 20119:35 pm
You just have to accept that some of the folks here have serious pent up anger issues
Hopefully they can find assistance
Hannity? Dumb as dirt, rude, a pompous a33, and just plain tacky…
October 25th, 20119:36 pm
Thought we wee talking about ted kennedy. The old man had nothing over the nefarious bush clan, more like comrades in arms…
But how is he an idiot? I’ve got no problem with your view of him I’m just curious as to why you view him that way. If its just because you think anyone who has deeply held conservative views is an idiot then so be it.
October 25th, 20119:37 pm
Joe Kennedy sr sounds like my kinda guy!
October 25th, 20119:38 pm
October 25th, 20119:39 pm
What did the Bush clan do that was horrible? Did they build a fortune in illegal bootlegging, insider trading, etc? Did they cover up a girl’s death for 11 hours while the drunk that killed her sobered up?
And a liar. All the qualities that Rupert looks for in a FOXy Blues host.
October 25th, 20119:40 pm
How goes the battle lines? They are going to want another pound of your flesh from education because in repub world you, the police and fireman are the targets; god forbid we raise taxes on the rich, blasphemy! Scream the water carriers waiting for the trickle…
October 25th, 20119:41 pm
Agreed. I could say the same about that gal on MSNBC
Actually, Laura Bush was one of the more recent ones with driving difficulties. Of course she’s not a real Bush though.
October 25th, 20119:43 pm
**But how is he an idiot?**
Every now and then I tune in on the radio, it’s always the same, blame obama for just about everything on earth plus the air we breathe – he is a very small man…
A couple of those accusations of Hannity lying are from Media Matters which is a far left outfit that plays fast and loose with the truth and also with Jon Stewart who isn’t exactly a bastion of objectivity either. 2.3 million results isn’t impressive either if there are at least 60 million Americans who categorize themselves as liberal. When I get time though I actually will peruse through some of the other criticisms of him- just not from an outfit like Media Matters or Jon Stewart.
October 25th, 20119:44 pm
I’m waiting on “teleprompter”.
Does anyone else think it comical Rachel Maddow hypes up the Hoover Dam?
A Republican project?……. Too funny
Her cluelessness is just too funny
October 25th, 20119:46 pm
“lean forward” = lean Republican
October 25th, 20119:47 pm
Every now and then I tune in on the radio, it’s always the same, blame obama for just about everything on earth plus the air we breathe- Mick
About Obama screwing up the air we breathe. It is rumored by Hannity that Obama ate some chili on the campaign route and farted something noxious.
October 25th, 20119:48 pm
Bingo!…media matters and jon stewart
Always pays to play a second card!
lean Republican = Ann Coulter. Not funny though. She’s a double sacker.
October 25th, 20119:49 pm
You are to dense to get the point, what in gods name would the modern republican party of today say yes to build? Nothing. Protect the wealthy, say no to everything obama proposes, that about sums it up. You’ll are setting yourselves up for a landslide defeat. Mitch mcconnel is an evil basturd…
October 25th, 20119:50 pm
It’s going as well as can be expected…the kids are great, though, and that’s what matters
And with that in mind, it’s check out time…school dance tomorrow, so inner my rest
October 25th, 20119:51 pm
I think Hannity’s Books of Lies would cause massive deforestation and even worse global warming if they were ever printed.
Michelle let’s Barack eat chili?
That’s not healthy……
media matters and jon stewart were in the link that amvet provided to me. Hard for me to pull the media matters and jon stewart card when the card is presented directly to me.
Speaking of cards did Obama ever get his teleprompter back? There ya go kammypoo! You got the teleprompter card played! I figured I would be nice tonight and give the poo some crumbs.
October 25th, 20119:54 pm
October 25th, 2011
“I think Hannity’s Books of Lies would cause massive deforestation and even worse global warming if they were ever printed.”
Somebody better get Al Gore on the phone so he can save the forests and stop global warming.
Ah grasshopper. That is the correct retort.
However. My response to that is building the Hoover dam today would only add 1/5 the jobs it took then. And America is still working ok, if not great. We just built a new bridge next to the dam.
October 25th, 20119:55 pm
I just knew my personal clown, my jester, couldn’t stay on the sidelines long before asking for my attentions.
October 25th, 20119:56 pm
Jm, you just might want to watch that commercial again. She was talking bout the bridge.
October 25th, 20119:57 pm
Doom, don’t box yourself in!
I’m never afraid to read something from a rabid rightie site.
Hell, I read Newsmax regularly.
The message, not the messenger, is what matters…
You can’t have it both ways, we have massive infrastructure that needs upgrades, who’s going to do it, the private sector? No. Your republican buddies have said no because they don’t want to raise taxes on the poor little rich people that you all worship, I call it wealth worship – they are your masters…
October 25th, 20119:59 pm
Jm and Mick,
Interesting historical tidbit I saw somewhere. From conception to finish the Empire state building went up in 1 year. The freedom tower took 10 years to build with all the govt red tape and still isn’t finished. If you had to build the Hoover dam today I do wonder how many govt permits, environmental impact studies, and other hoops you would have to jump through to get it done in today’s environment. Speaking of nuisance lawsuits and red tape how many new nuke plants have gone up in the last 30 years?
October 25th, 201110:01 pm
Keep. Um, no keep, you’re wrong. Shocker.
Sounds like you need to go watch the ad again
You’re thinking of something else
The reason that the empire state building, george washington bridge were all built on time and under budget is because they were UNION jobs – done right the first time..
Headline (CNN): “Obama to offer help for students buried in debt”
“The White House announced on Tuesday two new measures the Department of Education will start offering in January to help college graduates climb out of their student loan debt hole.
One of the proposals would push up the start date for more favorable terms on a special loan repayment program based on income, said White House domestic policy adviser Melody Barnes. Another measure would encourage graduates with two or more different kinds of federal loans to consolidate them and get a small break on interest rates.”
I have a better idea !
Four years service in the U.S. military and half is totally forgiven.
Four years service in a “combat arms” unit of the U.S. Army or Marine Corps and “all” is forgiven.
October 25th, 201110:03 pm
Hell Scout, they already have something like that lol. It’s called ROTC……….
October 25th, 201110:05 pm
Speaking of nuisance lawsuits and red tape how many new nuke plants have gone up in the last 30 years?
Hell Doom, that one in Japan just “went up’ last spring, less than 6 month’s ago………..
It is widely acknowledged it wouldn’t ever be built due to environmental concerns
I’m not trying to have it both ways, and I’m not republican
I think infrastructure is good. But liberals ignore two important facts. Productivity has improved and housing construction guys don’t know how to and can’t build engineering projects
So infrastructure will not create jobs. But it is worthwhile in the right places
October 25th, 201110:06 pm
I actually have read some things from media matters that I found to be credible so I won’t completely box myself in. Sheesh- You read Newsmax? I don’t even read that. I view it with the same suspicion as I do media matters. Some of the articles in both may be true but what is and isn’t true is too much to go through to try and decipher.
I watch faux news, CNN, and tune in to the network news several times a week. The network news I kinda switch up a bit but I find Diane Sawyer at ABC so blatantly left wing that I automatically discount much of what she says. What did it for me was when the tornadoes hit Tuscaloosa and Joplin and Sawyer was fuming and implying that there had to be an obvious connection between some random but deadly tornados and global warming. She even tried to browbeat the meterologist into going along with a linkage between the 2. I couldn’t believe what I was watching. The meterologist had a shocked look on his face that she believed this and was trying to get him to agree with it but he politely dismissed your theory in a gentlemanly manner.
That Huff guy needed to go to Afghanistan. He’s a natural given all his Georgia militia training.
October 25th, 201110:07 pm
He’s breaking the law to do that
October 25th, 201110:10 pm
I heard they finally got that radioactive underground water leak fixed again down at Plant Vogtle.
October 25th, 201110:11 pm
That one in Japan I think was built in 72 or 1982. Interesting story about it. 2 American engineers walked off the job decades ago citing a faulty design structure and stating the plant would be unsafe in the event of an earthquake but if I remember correctly they disapproved of the plant design regardless of a quake or tsunami event. But that site not only was poorly built but had the misfortune of being built in a zone where it never should have been built due to tsunami and quake concerns. But even then outside of Chernobyl the safety record of nuke power worldwide is very good.
October 25th, 201110:12 pm
That’s easy. Just don’t publish Hannity’s Books of Lies.
October 25th, 201110:13 pm
I’m quite relaxed, now if only you would have more respect for the truth, cause an independent you are not. At least not by standards you have opined here. That would make you an IINO and a far right winger…
October 25th, 201110:14 pm
Crap I misread your post. I thought you were talking about the nuke plant in the wake of the tsunami. I was talking about how many new nuke plants have been built here in the U.S. Not in the world. Eyes are tired and now i know its time to call TAPS.
October 25th, 201110:15 pm
Mick don’t tell me what I am
U lose all cred when u try to do so
No sir. Jm is not nearly that far to the right. He leans right but can have some surprisingly middle of the road views. Now me? Hell I’m to the right of Attilla the Hun most of the time.
October 25th, 201110:16 pm
As long as nuclear power creates radioactive waste, it’s not worth it. If they could develop fission, I’d say go for it but we don’t have it. The sun is sitting up there radiating free energy, we just have to figure better ways to harness it, that’s the future…
October 25th, 201110:17 pm
Doomy out. Ya’ll have a good evening.
October 25th, 201110:18 pm
Calm down grasshopper – when being burned by the sun, wise man go indoors….that was too easy….
October 25th, 201110:19 pm
what is it that you people like soooo much about Obama?
Nuclear is carbon free……….
October 25th, 201110:20 pm
I’m with you. I would love to see complete solar and wind use. Unfortunately its been around a lot longer than you think and its simply not proving feasible and doesn’t look that way for quite awhile if ever. The choice in the shorter and intermediate term is very simple. Burn fossil fuels or go nuke which does create radioactive waste but that waste can easily be stored away. If the French who are very green can get 80% of their power from nukes which is clean and have plenty of space to safely store the waste then there is no reason why we can’t do the same. No reason whatsoever. We do it allready after all and get 20% of our power from nukes. WIth that I am outta here.
October 25th, 201110:23 pm
And Mick, there are far more challenges to renewables than the general public appreciates
Wonderful in concept, insanely challenging in reality
If nuclear is off the table, natural gas is the best plan
I like it, Mick.
Yes, the furious back pedaling is funny.
I’m not a Republican, but I voted for Purdue, Deal, Suxby, Isaakson, Coverdell, Mattingly, McCain, BushCorp (twice!), Dole, Bush 41, Ronnie and all of my state GOP reps.
October 25th, 201110:25 pm
Well….. He’s articulate (bush wasn’t)
He’s muddle headed (bush saw things in black and white more so)
But Obama has a long list of issues and a real challenge to be re elected
October 25th, 201110:26 pm
Am vet you’re a joke
U guys think you know how I voted
And you make up everything else you say too
The truth of the matter is we don’t like him as much as you keep saying we do, with that being said, no one and I do mean no one on the repub bench is worth changing horses in midstream for – get it? We have serious issues and what are your guys talking about? They don’t inspire and are reckless with the facts, its a huge problem for your side…
October 25th, 201110:27 pm
Libs make up lies
When they speak
October 25th, 201110:28 pm
Wish I could take credit but I think it was keep who coined the term IINO, why not?
October 25th, 201110:29 pm
“reckless with the facts”
Like claiming you know what party someone is in, how they vote, etc
October 25th, 201110:34 pm
U guys think you know how I voted
What’s not to understand.
You’ve repeatedly stated who you’ve voted for.
And you’ve bitched about it the entire time you’ve been here.
Why anyone would ever want to be or remain a Border Patrol Agent is beyond me. This is out of control ………………. !
Headline: “U.S. border agent jailed for improper arrest of suspected drug smuggler”
“The allegations against Diaz, 31, a seven-year veteran of the Border Patrol, initially were investigated by Homeland Security’s Office of Inspector General and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Office of Professional Responsibility, which cleared the agent of any wrongdoing.
But the Internal Affairs Division at U.S. Customs and Border Protection ruled differently nearly a year later and, ultimately, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Texas brought charges.”
October 25th, 201110:35 pm
Mick … I understand what you’re saying. That part about “your side” ? I was for Hillary. Going back to her campaign you will recall that her and her husband said Obama was nowhere near ready.
Since it looks as if Hillary will not be challenging Obama in 2012, and for some odd reason no other democrat will either, I will be going for Romney. I choose Romney for basically the same reason you will choose Obama. Obama got everything he wanted until the American public said “enough”.
I believe once Obama is up against (I hope) Romney, and he is peppered with questions on his record, he will be done. I admit I would rather have Obama than Herman Cain or Rick Perry, or even that Bachman nut.
October 25th, 201110:36 pm
The Scarlet A:
Ah …………………………….. surely you know that:
1) ROTC duty is not “active duty” in the military.
2) And it’s not “combat duty”
October 25th, 201110:38 pm
The one vote I’ve talked about….was for a ….. Democrat
Keep digging deeper, that hole’s coming nicely….
October 25th, 201110:40 pm
Just thought of another corollary to “Coulter calling you skinny” and “Bookman calling you a lazy writer.”
Obama, (who actually is saying) “Republicans don’t have a jobs plan”.
We’re down to teachers, cops and firefighters. What a straw-man argument.
Today he said some tax on millionaires would pay for 400,000 jobs–just $500 from each mill would do this. This figure is for “saved jobs” a number he can fudge–probably already has–and a number that won’t come back to haunt him before he crashes and burns next year anyway.
I’m outta here.
You liberal versions of Sean Hannity are boring. Snooze
Fair enough, but romney has a tough hill to climb against the power of the incumbency and the president who got bin laden. That will come into play later in the campaign. Regardless, I agree, it should be romney, he’s the only one with a lick of sense. Another weakness? Flip flopper extraordinaire…
October 25th, 201110:41 pm
Now I’m gone
October 25th, 201110:42 pm
The one vote I’ve talked about….was for a ….. Democrat
Mick….don’t underestimate the power of the “are you better off than you were 4 years ago” question
October 25th, 201110:44 pm
Religion is the root of all evil. Christianity is for frauds who tith away their personal foibles, like the international child molesting catholic sex ring.
October 25th, 201110:45 pm
Just for u bud
I’m very happy with my other D votes
Mayors, governors, congressmen
I did vote republican for state Atty Gen and a couple other things, with a splash of libertarians in there
Obama is the big regret
October 25th, 201110:47 pm
Obama got everything he wanted until the American public said “enough”.
Best use of 11 words I’ve seen by anyone on this blog in months, including the paid pros. I don’t know your politics, but this makes a whole lot of sense. Wish I had your wit and your brevity–and so do most others here, probably.
You clearly see the situation, stripped it bare and dissected it for easy understanding.
Despite all this nonsense from “occupy” blaming others, what you say is an undeniable 800-lb gorilla argument.
October 25th, 201110:48 pm
October 25th, 201110:49 pm
Oh yeah. And Clinton. Didn’t vote for W, wrote someone in since I though they both sucked.
jm had a bad day.
The alternative to our President is another collapse and a default .
If you watched the gop actions since the collapse you would see it plain as day.
That is the truth.
Ignore these bozos who write one thing horizontally and then the same thing vertically. It’s an utter waste of time, leading the writer to falsely think that if he just keeps saying the same thing with greater emphasis that it will magically transform into the truth.
October 25th, 201110:50 pm
Obama got everything he wanted until the American public said “enough”.
Not intended to be a factual statement.
Kam stop hogging the page
And I’ve given 10x the money to D’s as R’s. Until next year………
October 25th, 201110:52 pm
Hannity, Kennedy, TelePrompTer
October 25th, 201110:55 pm
bman @ 1035,
I think your post above is extremely flawed. There is a great chasm between Obama and the Republicans. Whoever wins the Republican primary is going to the White House, I believe, as do you.
That said,no reasoned individual can deny that Mitt Romney is much much much closer to Perry, Cain and the others than he is to Obama. What you seem to be arguing is that you will ignore the substance of the campaign and decide based on what?, what the media says about the candidates? the smoothness of personality? how they look on TV?
I’m curious to know.
October 25th, 201110:56 pm
Don’t let the bigoted barn door hit your arse on the way out….
October 25th, 201111:01 pm
getalive @ 1049,
The GOP since the collapse has had exactly ten months of power in the House only, while Obama and the Dems have had two years of absolute control–even a the very rare and unusual filibuster-proof control of the Senate.
No reasonable person can deny that the Republicans had zero power at this time, and no reasonable person can deny that it was Democrats in their state of absolute power, who at that time, voted not to raise taxes–taxes they now claim raising is critical (laughably) for the survival or our national bureaucracy and labor unions….. er, excuse me,…. for the survival of the nation.
Your “arguing” is so overdone, it can only be called “ashes”.
October 25th, 201111:05 pm
Kammy @ 1050:
No, it wasn’t a factual statement, like “Obama is president”. It was rare witty, penetrating, bullseye analysis, and it obviously has you at a loss for doing the same yourself.
I don’t blame you. It was a brilliant line, and were I on your side, I’d resort to cliche’s too.
October 25th, 201111:10 pm
Riot in Oakland:
October 25th, 201111:12 pm
The Hoover dam?
Rachel Madcow or one of the charities she supports would have helped tie-up a big project like the Hoover dam for decades with some enviro-BS about fresh-water clams or “historical rocks” or anything they could throw up in the air to stop progress.
What kills me is, why to they call themselves “progressives”.
The HOOVER DAM!! Farmer’s can’t even plow when they want, and use the fertilizer they want to plant the crops they want for fear of the wrath of EPA. Look at any engineering, architectural magazine or public policy magazine. All the big bridges, dams and great amphitheatures and other structures are being built elsewhere in the world, many of them in China. Our government has, to borrow a well-known phrase, “its boot on the neck” (by far, the stupidest thing Obama ever said) of too many people and organizations.
October 25th, 201111:14 pm
Again, I look at actions and outcome of those actions.
Since the collapse, the gop acted on socialism for the banks. That is it for the economy.
Then they tried to steal jobs and Medicare.
They wanted to default.
Look it up con.
Fast … Herman Cain is the only talk radio guy that I have ever listened to. That’s mainly due to me going home from work and he was on. The man makes me smile…I like him. But, I like him as a radio personality. Not President. I haven’t seen any TV news program in months. I think Romney is the one to win over the moderate voters. What makes me believe that? My father, a retired UAW worker from GM has always been a democrat. Still is. I mean…the man puts up signs in his yard in Cherokee County for democratic candidates. He voted for Obama, but he too, has seen enough. If Romney wins the republican nomination, he will vote, for the first time in his life, a republican.
Obama MUST be bad
October 25th, 201111:16 pm
get @ 1110,
Occupy bunch attacked the police.
Where’s Obama on this nonsense?
If the Tea Party had done something like this, it’d be news story #1 for years. Hell, “macaca” was a bigger story than these thugs “marching” around the country with vague demands.
The media is absolutely full of crap.
But thanks for posting that story.
Didn’t know about it.
October 25th, 201111:19 pm
Have you ever been there fast?
Like I said, it is a tough place.
Americans are sick of it.
October 25th, 201111:20 pm
You were badmouthing all soldiers yesterday.
Jay Bookman’s mom & dad were soldiers.
Did you mean them also ?
October 25th, 201111:23 pm
Hi cuties. Just wanted to let yall know I’m on the case. The boogyman is gonna get you;…. but anyway stay cute and keep saying such clever things. I don’t feel like being mean tonight. I may say something truthful; like how great Obama is.

Quack Quack. You NEVER have a disparaging euphemism for Republicans, yet you have a plethora of them for anyone who doesn’t walk lockstep with the hard right fanatics, much less for the liberals. you walk like a Republican fanatic, you quack like a hard right Republican fanatic. Why don’t you just go ahead and admit what everyone here knows/ Who do you think you are fooling? You are as “neutral” as Micheal Moore (and as relevant, and honest, truth be told).

Don’t feed the troll Scout, it will soon go away if it gets no attention. Ignore it. Please.

October 25th, 2011
1) ROTC duty is not “active duty” in the military.
2) And it’s not “combat duty”
In today’s climate, ROTC people WILL go active. As for Combat arms? Well come one Scout, we need some REMF’s to get stuff to us real soldiers. Besides, I don’t want some damn woman next to me in a fire fight. Do you?
Evil in all of its mild or horrendous forms must be confronted.

“Even Satan can disguise himself as an “Angel of Light” !
God didn’t know about the internet when that was written Scout. TRUST ME on this one. on the internet, you ignore trolls and they wither and die. Sandy is a troll. It doesn’t believe a thing it posts, it just gets a nut off everytime someone responds to it’s outrageous posts. But you just go on feeding the troll. It will only get bigger with attention. And then we will all hate you for keeping it alive and hanging around lol.
October 25th, 201111:43 pm
Not all of them. Most of them just do the two year ROTC. We have no draft so that stay in the program get to decide for sure right up to the time of graduation/commisioning.
Our sure, you need REMF’s, cooks, truck drivers, etc. I’m just saying those at the point of the spear should get more of an advantage later.
Just like purple heart veterans get a 10 point preferance over all other 5% percent veterans.
The Thin Guy
Indeed Ms. Coulter is thin to the point of anorexia. But that beats wide behinds such as Moochella.
You Chubby Chasers can have The Mooch but I prefer women who can fit into one zip code. There are only three things that can be seen from Outer Space: The Great Wall of China, Moochella’s keister, and ØDumbø’s ears.
Although not an authority on theology, it is my belief that God doesn’t want me to send money to people on TV with $ 1,000 suits. If it were that important to The Deity, he, she, or it would effect an automated funds transfer. There is one nice thing about televangelists: At least they don’t ask for tips or tax money.
But it amuses me !!

October 26th, 20116:25 am
Someone needs to check in on JAY and make sure he made bail this morning; seeing that he and his friends at Ocuppy Atlanta were evicted from Woodruff Park.
(on a serious note: did anyone see the Occupy Atl leader on the news last night??? What a joke!)
October 26th, 20116:42 am
Good Morning Bloggers!
I like to start the day with truth, how about y’all?
The last couple of days we’ve seen the blurb from the Steve Jobs bio about Mr. Jobs saying President Obama might be a one term President
if he did not become more business friendly.
I guess that was supposed to scare us.
Well, turns out, as it usually does, that we did’nt get the whole story.
“He was really into supporting Obama in 2012…He wanted to make ads for Obama.”
October 26th, 20116:45 am
What the joke was, was the saying there was an AK-47 in the crowd. “OH NO! An AK-47, they must be terrorists because it ain’t even an American gun. Oh Woe is us! How come they didn’t announce that they had found one when they arrested them? And while I’m on the subject, how come they complain about costs to the City, when they are using SWAT, horse patrols, and helicopters for PEACEFUL demonstrators? If it wasn’t so pitiful, it would be laughable.
October 26th, 20116:52 am
BTW: Good morning all y’all…
This is just too cute and makes me feel better…
October 26th, 20116:55 am
Interviewer: Says on your application that you were arrested in 2011. Can you explain the circumstances?
Job Applicant: Yes, I was at an Occupy Wall Street protest demanding stuff.
Interviewer: OK, thanks. We’ll be getting back to you about that job. The administrative assistant at the front desk will validate your parking slip.

Whether or not Samuel Adams helped plan the Boston Tea Party is unknown, but he immediately worked to publicize and defend it. He argued that the Tea Party was not the act of a lawless mob, but was instead a principled protest and the only remaining option the people had to defend their constitutional rights.
While tents and signs are not corporately owned tea…the basics remain the same, this is “a principled protest and the only remaining option the people had to defend their constitutional rights”
The fact that it scares the guano out of the right is just an added benefit.

I see the folks happy to be on their knees to their corporate overlords are here in force today, ready to say “thankyewsir, mayIhaveanudder”
meanwhile, in the REAL world, an 18% increase over 30 years really isn’t much to cheer about:
The nonpartisan agency said in a report that after-tax income on average grew by 62% during the 30-year period. But that growth wasn’t even. The wealthiest 1% of Americans saw their incomes skyrocket by 275% during that stretch, while after-tax income for the one-fifth of households with the lowest income grew by just 18% from 1979 to 2007.
oh, and those “47%ers who take take take”???
The poorest 20% of the population received more than 50% of government transfers in 1979, but that had fallen to around 35% by 2007, the CBO said. This was largely because of the rise of spending focused on the programs benefiting the elderly such as Social Security and unemployment compensation that aren’t limited to low-income households.
facts. they’re not just for breakfast anymore

It’s something I recognized when I first heard about the protests over a month ago.

From Carville a month or so ago:
Indict people. There are certain people in American finance who haven’t been held responsible for utterly ruining the economic fabric of our country. Demand from the attorney general a clear status of the state of investigation concerning these extraordinary injustices imposed upon the American people. I know Attorney General Eric Holder is a close friend of yours, but if his explanations aren’t good, fire him too. Demand answers to why no one has been indicted
From NY Times
Rajat K. Gupta, the most prominent executive ensnared in an aggressive insider trading investigation and a former director of Goldman Sachs, is expected to surrender to authorities
This will be interesting.
And yeah, I almost never say such things because the sentiment is so overused by the right, but yeah–clearly, the OWSers scare the sh-t out of the Astroturfed Koch suckers.

Why we still have a judicial system, despite the right wing’s efforts to “purify” it:
A federal judge blocked part of North Carolina’s new abortion law Tuesday, ruling providers do not have to place an ultrasound image next to a pregnant woman so she can view it, nor do they have to describe its features and offer her the chance to listen to the heartbeat.
The law was set to take effect Wednesday, but U.S. District Judge Catherine Eagles’ decision puts a key section of it on hold until she can hear more arguments.
North Carolina legislators and officials have argued that by offering the image to a woman seeking an abortion and other information they would promote childbirth and protect patients from emotional distress associated with the procedure and possible coercion. The judge said she received no evidence supporting those arguments.
North Carolina officials “have not articulated how the speech-and-display requirements address the stated concern in reducing compelled abortions, and none is immediately apparent,” the judge wrote in a preliminary injunction.

October 26th, 20117:35 am
A little tom tomorrow to get you going-
about the right-wing “purification” efforts, if you missed it:
The Republican candidates have focused their anger at court rulings on social issues like abortion, same-sex marriage and the role of religion in public life. Those issues hold the potential to fire up the party’s base and to provide crucial support in the primaries.
“There’s an even more dramatic overstep on the part of the courts now,” said Marjorie Dannenfelser, the president of the Susan B. Anthony List, a conservative legal advocacy group. “With the grass-roots revolution on the ground and the Tea Party movement, there’s a desire for a return back to first principles.”
“I don’t think it’s an anticourt movement,” Ms. Dannenfelser added. “It’s a purifying of the court — trying to return it to where it should be.”
Crawl back under your hood, please.

There has been a massive pussification of Republicans.
During the “war president’s” reign, it was tragic just how a tiny few of them had ever served in uniform. Service avoiders such as Cheney and the cowardly Saxby ran the Republican show, with a yellow streak a mile long. It was beyond absurd how these gutless little jerks feigned being tough guys.
Now they do it again in another battle.
Millions of Americans are fed up with these p*ssies and their ongoing efforts to destroy the middle class.
The working class Americans who have gotten stomped on for a long time will not lay down like our servile neo-cons, who cannot muster up the courage to even say boo about this untenable situation facing us.
This alone explains the bizarre neo-con anger and fear about those who have.
Sure, they hide behind their little, way-off-base snarkiness about people needing showers and unemployed losers and no message (WTF?!), but it is obvious that this is purely transparent desperation to cover up their own cowardice and utter lack of outrage at those who should be held accountable.
They know that Americans are looking at them and wondering what the hell is the matter with these Republiloons???
They support the banksters???
They want the agents for injustice and inequality to keep on keeping on???
They want the Middle Class workers to just shut up, go home and take more of the same abuse?
As p*ssies, that is their job.
October 26th, 20117:48 am
“As p*ssies, that is their job.”

On being 14, female, and hearing Sonic Youth’s “Youth Against Fascism” for the first time, around the time of the Clarence Thomas confirmation hearings, twenty years ago…
I mainly, at that point in time, liked reading books and listening to CDs, and it was the latter that pulled a brick out of my mental wall on this issue. Sonic Youth had a song on their 1992 record Dirty titled “Youth Against Fascism”, and it had the lyric “I believe Anita Hill/Judge will rot in hell” on it. It almost feels like an understatement to say that this lyric blew my mind. A man standing up for a woman—a woman he didn’t know, especially—in a dispute between a man and a woman over sexualized mistreatment? I had never experienced that before, and probably thought of it as simply impossible. Most women treated other women who spoke up about this stuff like pariahs, so the idea of a man calling bulls###, and being so angry about it, was just unbelievable to me. It felt so incredibly subversive. I didn’t want to be caught listening to that lyric. It seemed dirty to suggest that there was any alternative to simply enduring sexual harassment in silence.
[...]“[B]elieving” Anita Hill was such a complex and frankly radical thing to do in the early 90s. It wasn’t just that you were accepting her version of events. Many of her fiercest critics seemed not to deny that the events she described happened, after all. To believe Anita Hill was also to believe that Thomas was wrong to do the things he did. “Youth Against Fascism” made this clear. Thurston Moore didn’t just affirm that he believed that Hill’s testimony was factually accurate. He said that treating a woman like that was so wrong that a man who did such things would “burn in hell”. He said that it was a man’s fault if a man chooses to sexually harass a woman. No one around me was saying those things.

All hail the Alpha-Omega for it has the power for the glory of Armaggeddon. By the way, our biggest nuke has been dismantled. So now it is “All hail the Alpha.” Or whatever is next in line. Anyway, wouldn’t it be a real hoot if the occupiers called up the NRA and told them that their rights to bare arms had been trampled upon by a Republican. The horrors.
In the minds of the conned jellyfish, crime exists only in blue collar terms.
There is no white collar crime.
Certainly none worth investigating and prosecuting. (Though it’s costs and effects now dwarf street crime.)
