Most of the 1% do not work daily at a profession. That is what is commonly misunderstood by many.
Their money works for them and is not taxed at the same rate as a salary.

Jm – I do understand what you mean by managing money. But a true 1% pays others to do that along with tax lawyers,etc. to keep the taxes as low as possible given the current tax code.
That said the tax code is a mess with too many loopholes.
Why not instead of abolishing the code. Turn it on it’s head and abolish the loopholes for 1 year for personal and corporate to see what happens.

Conspiracy theories? I got one. Did ya’ll know that W used to have a special computer that had knobs that controlled the price of oil. When he felt like his friends in big oil weren’t making enough money he would turn the knob that raises the price and voila, that shell oil guy and others raked it in. And there are a fair amount of people who would believe that. Gee whiz there was a occupy atlanta protester who said today on the radio that they were going to protest at the georgia pacific building and levitate the building 4 feet off the ground. Funniest news clip I ever did hear. Then they protested the Koch brothers and said they shouldn’t be allowed to contribute money to political causes. No surprise there. Liberals love free speech- when its their free speech only of course. Then we had the protester at Woodruff Park walking around with a loaded AK-47. I thought ya’ll said they only did that at the tea party rallies? I loves this occupy Atlanta group and I wish Kasim Reed would let them vent year round. Its much better than the comedy channel or SNL.
