“The President believed the distraction over his birth certificate wasn’t good for the country. It may have been good politics and good TV, but it was bad for the American people and distracting from the many challenges we face as a country. Therefore, the President directed his counsel to review the legal authority for seeking access to the long form certificate and to request on that basis that the Hawaii State Department of Health make an exception to release a copy of his long form birth certificate. They granted that exception in part because of the tremendous volume of requests they had been getting.”
Or as Obama himself put it this morning:
“We don’t have time for this kind of silliness. We’ve got better stuff to do.”
This changes nothing, of course. The birther nonsense was born out of a deep conviction in some quarters that Barack Obama “ain’t one of us,” that he is not merely unAmerican but anti-American, and that his presence in the White House is an insult to this nation’s heritage.
The birth-certificate controversy was merely that sentiment given literal form. Even after this, the sentiment will remain; the cynics who preached it and profited by it, and the fools who believed it, remain with us as well.
Donald Trump, for example, just took credit for forcing the release — “I’m very proud of myself,” he said — but he then doubled down on his foolishness, refusing point blank to acknowledge that this ends the controversy and instead demanding to see Obama’s academic records.
Birtherism was, and is, a symptom of something fundamentally gone awry in the national psyche. And this doesn’t fix it, not by a long shot.

The last time the GOP had all three branches of gov’t and a balanced budget, they wrecked the books. The GOP solves no problems, just creates more. Look at the GA immegration bill – it will cost more, does nothing about the current situation and invites law suits that will cost to defend. GOP has no chance of solving the deficit because they won’t raise the revenue needed to provide the services the voters demand. They have NO credibiliy and their followers look foolish to support them.

Then, ask yourself one question….”If Clinton really ran with a surplus, why exactly did the National Debt increase every year of his presidency?” If you get to bottom of where his faux surplus came from, you might run into another term called intergovernmental transfers. Apply that term to our Social Security and you might, just might, figure out how he pulled the wool over your eyes. Here’s why the first COLB was deemed a crude forgery:
The Summary: (of examination of Obama’s COLB, version 1.0)
The Certificate of Live Birth documents posted on Mr. Obama’s website http://www.fightthesmears.com,
Daily Kos, and factcheck.org, were found to be altered and forged.
1. The problem of the pixels: When you have a green patterned document such as this, there should be a lot of green pixels from the background showing up between the letters that appear on the certification. But in this case, instead of green pixels, there are white and grey pixels between the letters, which result when you replace existing text with other text.
2. There is no second fold line. The pictures show two folds – necessary to fit any COLB into an envelope for mailing, but the document itself shows only one fold. This is another indication of document alteration.
3. There’s a blurred border. The border has a lower resolution than the rest of the document, which is another indication that it has been altered.
4. The border is one that is used in 2007 COLBs. As a security measure, Hawaii changes their borders every year. This is when the Obama campaign claims the certificate was obtained. That is fine except for the problem that …
5. The seal and signature stamp are from a 2008 COLB. As revealed by a process called edging, the Hawaiian seal and signature stamp on the back of the document are revealed to be from the wrong year!
When you’re creating documents, make sure you use only a typewriter that was invented at the time you report the document was manufactured. When posting a “Certification of Live Birth,” make sure you “borrow” only from documents used in the same year!

I remember the first time I read that Obama “may have been born outside the US”. It was during the Democratic primaries and appeared on several blogs run by Hillary Clinton supporters. Let’s not forget the real source of the nonsense.

Why Isn’t Obama Celebrating High Oil Prices?
The administration, of course, isn’t at fault when oil prices spike; it just seems to make matters worse. Or better, if you happen to be an environmentalist. So why isn’t it celebrating? Though the left may be wary of the political consequences, it has been pining for high fuel costs for decades. So here they are. Let’s see how the economy responds.

Well, unless their last name is Bush or Dole or something, in which case all bets are off…
Bush has never released his National Guard records so I can’t really say if he is a “vet’ or not — I mean if he doesn’t show up to drill, and is considered AWOL, can he still be classified as a Vet? or would he be considered a deserter in a time of war?
As for Dole, prove where I’ve said anything bad about him — I’ll wait.

It’ll be interesting. I bet a poll a month from now still shows 1/2 of Republicans don’t think Obama was born in the US…..
Well neither do I, many of my liberal friends don’t either. Kenya is more exotic than Hawaii, so I know our shining light Obama was born there. That in no way means he is not our legitimate President, our God!
