How many ex-wives do each of us have?
“If my choice was Barack Obama or Donald Trump, I would have zero hesitation saying that Donald Trump is dramatically less dangerous to America’s future than Barack Obama, and I’d be happy to campaign for him.”
Maybe they could be running mates.

BMDPD 2:06, I realize I may be over-stretching you a bit here in the intellectual category, but for the record, my point is not to dispute the assertions you’ve made, but to point out how your assertions are trivial, merely diversions. I do not dispute, for ex., that “libs fear Trump” (whatever a “lib” is), or that Trump has star power, but instead argue: so what? (I assume you were part of the crowd saying 2 yrs ago that Obama had “star power” and that was the only reason for his election, yet now you’re touting it as a plus? not very intellectually rigorous there, BMDPD).
If Trump didn’t have to ask for government subsidies (and somehow I seriously doubt that), that might have been because he was born into wealth and didn’t have to worry about it. The point being: he still had a backstop (a.k.a. inherited wealth), somebody else to bail him out when he fell off his horse.
The statement “because he has balls, liberals don’t” is proof of a mind that’s not clicking on all cylinders. One doesn’t prove the other, my little friend. In reality of course, a Trump presidency might REALLY bring to light is the fact that the GOP has none, not the Dems.
As for my brains vs Trump’s, I’ve listened to him in interviews and I’m not worried about my intellectual abilities vis-a-vis Mr. Trump’s. Be-lieve me.

There is a congressman from Minnesota who is a devout Muslim and his name has absolutely no Arabic/ Muslim origin. Keith Ellison. Does that sound Muslim to you cerebrally challenged out there? Why is Georgia so proud of its ignorant among us? Throughout the black community there are thousands of black men named Kamal, Jamal, Muhammad etc. who attend church on Sunday and shout to Jesus. With the south being the black belt you would think that the average white southerner would know that, or do you some of you wait to be told by local news broadcasts at five and eleven?

UGA1999 is correct. Obama did say he was a muslim. But, we all must remember that Obama will say and do whatever he thinks is required to remain President. Truth is simply not part of his character. Mick, dB:
Re wealth, in all seriousness I hear that Ralph Nader has said exactly this, that we’re at a point now where only someone with landed wealth, e.g. a Roosevelt, can save us now. With Obama, for ex., what you have is the ultimate technocratic striver who’s worked his way to the top, so upon ascending the very top of the hierarchy he’s spent his entire life climbing, he’s the VERY LAST person who can be expected to then begin dismantling it or challenge it in radical ways. He was way too much respect for that hierarchy, he owes his rise to it, so it’s folly to expect him to introduce radical change. By this logic, only someone who’s spent their entire life in that wealth and privilege, a Bill Gates or Roosevelt, etc. (could Trump fit this description?), will lack the awe of the power structure that’s required to truly revolutionize it.

Scott, very few Americans questioned the necessity or wisdom of going after bin Ladin in Afghanistan. It was never a controversial war, and there was never a sense that those who fought and died there did so in vain or for less than an important cause.
The war in Iraq, a war of choice against a country that had not attacked us, was very different. The 5,000 Americans who died in that war gave the ultimate sacrifice for a cause that many of us still do not understand.

But now just 39% Strongly Favor the law’s repeal, the lowest level measured since the plan’s passage last year. Twenty-nine percent (29%) Strongly Oppose repeal of the legislation. (To see survey question wording, click here.)
Since Congress passed the law in late March of last year, total support for repeal has ranged from a low of 50% to a high of 63%. The number that Strongly Favor repeal has ranged from 39% to 50%. At the same time, the number of voters who oppose repeal has run from 33% to 43%.
Thirty-seven percent (37%) of voters now say the health care law will be good for the United States, a finding that has ranged from 32% to 41% since March 2010. Forty-seven percent (47%) say it will be bad for the country, down three points from last week. In prior weekly surveys over the past year, 48% to 57% of voters have said the law will be bad for the country.
Fifty-two percent (52%) of voters with health insurance favor the law’s repeal, as do 51% of those without coverage. Forty-seven percent (47%) of insured voters say the law will be bad for the country, compared to 50% of those who don’t currently have insurance.
And coming from Rasmussen, that’s just a step below a Fox News poll, but even your own article says the tide is turning……

“Seems to me that we have a relatively small number of conservatives on this board arguing that the attention paid to Trump is a liberal conspiracy to make them look bad. ”
That’s because conservatives don’t paint themselves as victims.
For someone who supposedly is in tune with all things political, you’re not.

BMDPD:
Left, I also apologize for any shots I took at your intellectual capability.
No need to apologize for something that does not exist.

Will the RNC let him stay in the Party if he compromises?
not so much the “rnc”, but the racist neanderthals that drive the party.

cked us, was very different. The 5,000 Americans who died in that war gave the ultimate sacrifice for a cause that many of us still do not understand.

It’s been explained to you many times. That you don’t like the explanation does not mean that there wasn’t a very good one.

md,
“Be honest Bosch……..the body counts and the war protesters slinked back into the crevices just as the Teapartiers have done the same…………
It definitely has to do with which “side” did what in any given election……………”
I never said anything to the contrary.

Jay, i am with BMPMD. I thought it was the right thing to do at the time going off the evidence that everybody believed to be true….Dems included and that includes Pres. Clinton. In a way, I still think it was a good thing to be there. Our war in Iraq could fit the same rationale that is being used for why we are involved in Libya with now. Hussein killed his own people in droves. Additionally, we said that we were going after terrorists and those who sponsor terrorists. I know you are going to say that there is no link between Sadaam and Al Quaida. I personally feel that there is if you look hard enough, but I will give you that. There is however, a lot of links between Sadaam and Hamas. Sadaam paid the families of suicide bombers. That is well-known and well-documented. We took out a guy who killed his own people and sponsored terrorists. And you think that is a bad idea??? Isn’t the world a better place without Sadaam?

oh jeezus
The national laboratory that may or may not have played a supporting role in the Stuxnet cyberattack on Iran’s nuclear facilities has been hacked, officials said yesterday, and facility-wide Internet access was cut Friday to stop data from flowing out of the lab. Oak Ridge National Laboratory, located in Tennessee, only lost a few megabytes of data. But it’s unclear what data was stolen, and even less clear where it went.

I find it a bit comical that folks believe a major entitlement program like the hc bill will be good for the US………..hello……..see current problems trying to fund the entitlement programs we currently have.
Folks are bitching and moaning about paying for SS, medicare, and medicaid……all with major problems……….then add in another……….
I guess that makes sense to someone……………..
