Michele Bachmann running away to join the circus

bachmann2

Herman Cain, Tim Pawlenty, Newt Gingrich and now … Michele Bachmann!

“Washington (CNN) – CNN has exclusively learned that Rep. Michele Bachmann will form a presidential exploratory committee. The Minnesota Republican plans to file papers for the committee in early June, with an announcement likely around that same time…

Meanwhile, CNN has also learned that Iowa Republican state Sen. Kent Sorenson will likely be hired to be Bachmann’s political director for the state – and that Bachmann aides hope to have a complete team together for Iowa by this weekend.

Sorenson is a prominent Tea Party figure in Iowa and holds sway with evangelicals in the state. He has publicly said he will support Bachmann if she mounts a presidential bid.

The three-term congresswoman and Tea Party favorite hopes to also have political teams in place – very soon – in New Hampshire, home to the first-in-the-nation presidential primary, and South Carolina, host of the first presidential primary in the South.

“I could have state directors in all those states within a week,” Bachmann Chief of Staff Andy Parrish said.

Well, it can’t officially be called a circus if it doesn’t have a clown or two.

A clown or two?

Tim “check-out-my-southern-drawl” Palenty?
Serial-adulterer Newt Gingrich?
Herman “you-might-be-having-a-personal-recession-but-we’re-not-in-a-recession” Cain? Birther-on-steroids Donald Trump?
Mitt “I was for RomneyCare before I was against it” Romney?

And on and on.

No, we’re not just talking about a clown or two here.

“Herman Cain, Tim Pawlenty, Newt Gingrich and now … Michele Bachmann!”

The 2012 election isn’t until…….2012. There will be many many more GOPers to jump in, explore and then drop out. I do find it funny that the left is so scared of Palin and Bachmann. I mean, how many columns have you posted about Palin in the last 2 years? Over ten at least.

Will Bachmann be the nominee? Nope, but it is funny to see the Olbermanns, no wait he flunked out at MSNBC, O’Donnell, Matthews, Madcow and the rest of the failing newspaper “journolists” consistently write about how stupid Palin and Bachmann are. It reminds me of what the left said and wrote about Ronald Reagan back in the 80s. Katie “I’m getting booted from CBS cause nobody watches her anymore” Couric called Reagan an air head. Now, even the libs can’t get enough Ronald Reagan and often compare Obama to him even though the two are at the polar opposite end of the political spectrum.

So please, Jay. Continue to bash, mock and demonize women like Palin and Bachmann because as we on the right know, they’ve got more balls than Obama ever will.

Oh, and Palin can actually throw a baseball across home plate and she doesn’t wear mom jeans like the current Spectator in Chief.

I want to reinforce the Herman Cain deal, because people keep referring to him as a “pizza executive.” The pizza executive thing doesn’t do Cain’s lack of qualifications justice.

To their discredit, Cain was a WSB radio-talk show figure for quite a while, and he’s said some nutty things. But the thing that stood out for me is when he’d tell callers, “You might be experiencing a personal recession. But our economy is not in a recession.” This he said, over and over, as job losses had been growing rapidly for months and after we had entered into a deep recession.

Play the tape for potential voters, and you’ll see the guy disappear faster than John Edwards.

On March 20th 2003 Western forces launched their “Shock and Awe” attack on Iraq, heavily bombarding Baghdad and elsewhere, massacring hundreds if not thousands of innocent men, women and children. On March 20th 2011 the very same forces attacked Libya, beginning what many believe will be yet another mass slaughter.

What is obvious to all but the most duped and apathetic is that once again we have another war launched by the imperialist powers thinly veiled as a “humanitarian intervention”, dressed up as a mission of peace driven by the use of heavy bombardment and murder, where the truth lies diametrically opposed to the propaganda being pushed by the mainstream media. Nothing is what it seems; the lies and deceptions are as Orwellian as ever. The similarities with Iraq go well beyond the date of the opening salvo – indeed, there are many consistencies between the current attack on Libya and numerous other military interventions and acts of aggression carried out by the US, NATO and their allies in recent years.

The propaganda currently being pumped out by the mainstream media, led by the usual suspects in the American corporate press and the liars and sycophants over at the BBC, is essentially a re-run of the Iraq invasions and Kosovo: a largely fabricated case for humanitarian intervention based on violence stoked by special forces troops and covert operations, with the consistent demonisation of the leader recast as a mass murdering tyrant to justify a heavy saturation bombing campaign in the name of human rights and justice. Any historical context that might cast the so-called “Allies” in a negative light – for instance large-scale sales of weapons to the new enemy figure – is carefully omitted from the narrative.

You won’t hear any of this on MSM.

Limbaugh has a funny observation today. Seemingly a Valley Girl is in charge of “messaging” for the White House. The Pentagon calls the Libyan mission a “kinetic military action.” And the Libyan action has subsumed the administration’s previous mantra of “winning the future.”

This is almost a dream scenario for Obama’s reelection. The Republicans are going to embarass themselves and rip themselves apart and will scare independents into voting for Obama. Thank you Bachmann. Thank you thank you.

OFF TOPIC NUMBER ONE: So much for the lefts assumption that America supports the military action against Libya. Too bad to because I actually thought intervening against the left wing Ghadffy was a good thing.

Americans Approve of Military Action Against Libya, 47% to 37%

“a tarantula is smaller than an elephant for sure, but more lethal.”

Yet ANOTHER thing Debbie doesn’t know. Not surprising, either.

Despite their often threatening appearance and reputation, no tarantula has been known to have a bite that is deadly to humans.

The problem with all these announcing is, they make mediocrity look good.

Regarding Trump: he’s said he thinks Pres Obama was born here but wonders why he just doesn’t release the certificate and put an end to the controversy. Personally, I think Trump’s manufacturing cheap publicity. Keeping costs down and all that –

Oh yeah, Trump. I hear he’s become a birther now, which means he has that box checked

“if Bachmann gets the nod for the top spot we’re going to have to find somebody named Turner for the Veep slot.”

Was your brain in overdrive?

(so okay, I’ve since read the other ‘overdrive’ comments since I typed that, but what the heck -)

Keep Up

Ah, Benny Hill. The music does seem to fit.

Some here are too funny……..exploratory equal presidential nominee………..

Both parties need some fodder at the bottom to make the other not quite as bad misfits look a bit better………

Looks like it will be another choice of bad and bad…….oh Joy.

The incumbent will have the odds stacked in a bad economy…….looks like that is what we will have. The swing voters may have to flip a coin this time around.
